The pain care surgery center has a great staff. I went with a friend who was having a procedure done. Due to some unforeseen complications my friend had to be transferred to the ER. The whole staff rushed into action. They kept me informed the whole time. Two nurses even stayed in the ER till he was stable and I was calmed down. I couldn't have handled that day without them being there for me.

The main thing that keeps me with this team is "they care" about you and getting you well. Anything that's wrong they will try their best to make it right. They get back to you promptly if you call with a concern. They doctors are amazing and there's plenty there to see you, so your appointments not months away. I appreciate this team.

If you have a bad injury that you KNOW you need any meds for. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. "just keep taking the kratom that you can' afford" "its clearly not urgent" i get it. a few junkies found some crooked drs but there is zero reason someone with mri proof and CLEARLY spelled out problems shpush ever be told to "deal with it" or too bad. now i understand why some chronic pain patients have commited suicide.

Would never properly manage my pain. Talked me into an injection even though I had told them my prior experience with them was awful that my disc degeneration was to severe. I let Dr doshi do the injection. I am now more crippled that I was prior. 2 months after they have caused a severe hernitions in my L5 S1 they have dropped me as a patient stating that there is nothing else they can do to provide me help.

The clinic is better since they were taken over by Presence Hospital. The whole concept of pain management has changed, (opioid crisis) and you still have to jump through hoops to get meds, but at least they are not pushing surgical options. However, their new mantra seems to be getting off of meds, with little alternative options. ' LIVE with the Pain' is their only suggestion.

The staff at this facility is wonderful. From the receptionist girls, to the Drs, they really work hard to help you. Despite being very busy, they take their time with you, They actually listen to you & they make sure they understand your problems & also that you understand your treatment. They also always do their best to be prompt in responding to you as long as you give them sufficient time to do so (in other words, don't call at 3:30pm when they close at 4-4:30 & expect you'll get a call back immediately), give them 2-3 hours & especially if you need them on a Friday, please try to call right when they open because they do close on weekends (so does the state in cases of medicaid).
Let's say if you are having a problem getting one of your meds filled, due to the states strict guidelines for prior authorizations on certain meds, call asap when the pain clinics office 1st opens or you may have to wait until after the weekend for assistance. They are very busy trying to help as many patients as possible. They do take state medicaid.
I've been going here for 4 years now due to severe spinal/nerve problems & 2 spinal fusions. I recommend them to whomever I feel would truly benefit from their care. There are multiple Drs. I have seen all of them & they all show a genuine concern for your health, pain, & well-being. They have ALWAYS done all that they can to try & help me manage my pain.
They offer multiple procedures here & even offer epidural, trigger point, etc. injections in office, or you also have the option to go downstairs on the main level to (I believe it's called) outpatient day surgery, to have the procedures done under twilight anesthesia if you're too nervous to have them done while awake, in office. To the staff, thank you for always doing your best to help me! ~Sarah

Dr. Okpareke is my pain management Dr and he go's above and beyond to take very good care of his patients. He will take time to listen to your issues and not act as if your bothering him or that he's in a hurry to get out of the office at all. He will do everything possible to help you and if he's not sure of something he will take the time to research it and give you his opinion on what he feels is the best path of treatment for you.
He is by far the best pain management Dr I've seen and I've been dealing with my problems since June of 2011, although I've only had Dr Okpareke for the last 2 years I believe.
