Services
Primary Care Joliet was founded in December of 1989. The clinic started as a single physician medical practice in a 2 room office located inside a strip mall. The focus from the beginning was on communication and quality patient care. As the years and relationships between doctor and patient developed, Primary Care Joliet became more ingrained in the community and its reputation began to speak for itself.
Primary Care Joliet (PCJ) and Oak Street Health have partnered together to offer a new and exciting Medicare Advantage clinic for patients in Will County. Oak Street Health provides a new model of primary care for adults on Medicare that is successfully improving outcomes, lowering costs and providing an unmatched experience for patients.
We have three locations conveniently located throughout the Joliet area to best serve you. Free Parking is available at all offices. Please be sure to include your requested provider, date, and approximate time for your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Need a refill? Have a question for your provider?
New patients to PCJ are scheduled for a comprehensive physical that includes a thorough exam, immunization administration, cancer screening and routine laboratory tests. All of this information is entered into our electronic, web-based medical record, which allows yourself and our entire health team to have the most up to date information regarding your health.

Probably the worst facility you could go to. The doctors are constantly being switched up I don't know if they're quitting, or if they're training and just getting better jobs but they disappear. And because of the switching of doctors and everything they can't even keep track of medications that they prescribe and who's prescribing them. If you attend this facility I recommend finding a new physician.

I've been seeing Lisa Smith for a few years now and she always welcoming and answers all my questions. I haven't had any issues with scheduling & I like the fact that I get in and out without long wait times.

Been going to Primary Care and seeing Dr. Allison Curran for almost a year. I first walked in to bring a friend to her appt and I was immediately taken by how kind she and the other nurses were and how on top of everything they were. I knew I had to switch doctors and I'm so glad I did. Allison is amazingly sweet and kind and always puts me at ease.

I feel like I'm visiting a friend sometimes. She's that amazing with people. The nurses deserve as much credit as well. They've always been so sweet and personable. One of the best offices in Joliet.

I've been seeing Allison Curran Nurse Practitioner at Primary Care Joliet. In 2011 I thought I was just having a diabetic seizure. After which I seen Allison Curran Nurse Practitioner who correctly diagnosed me as having a heart attack. Which lead to quadruple open heart coronary artery bypass surgery thus saving my life. Her medical exam is very thorough plus she really listens to you.

She has a very professional, truly caring, kind, pleasant personality and a passion for her career. Her dedication and selflessness shows through along with her sense of humor. She treats you like family. All this combined makes her a number one Doctor and in high demand in my opinion. Plus the receptionists and staff through out the facility are so kind and willing to accommodate you. Also the facility is keep very clean. How can this not be a win win. You need to check it out.

I had been going to see Melisa for years. I got frustrated with the wait times and switched to another GP. Their wait times were so minimal that I usually was back out the door before my scheduled appointment time. However, the trade off for wait time cost me the value of good care. I suppose the reason the other GP's wait times were so quick was because I received poor attention and lack of concern for my problems.

I came back to Melisa because I have come to learn that there is so substitute for quality care. I may be waiting longer but I know that is only because she takes the time to really hear her patient's concerns and work in partnership in diagnosing and treating. The only reason I would leave this practice now is if Melisa relocates.

Very friendly staff. I arrived a few minutes late & my check in was still fast and easy. I barely waited any time in the lobby. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for care.

I do not publish reviews as I perceive this practice to be indicative of our progressively soft, pathetic culture in the US. However, when I stumbled across all the five star reviews of this sad excuse for a medical facility--I couldn't help but cry and whine like my fellow Americans. So, without further to do, this place is a @#$% hole. End of crying.

This office staff here at the Essington location is much better than Aunt Martha's in Joliet. My daughter and I really like Nurse Practioner Lisa and the front office ladies. They are friendly, caring and the establishment is clean, neat and organized. I have never had any problems with their staff or Doctors and would recommend to anyone. They seem like they enjoy beung there and take pride in helping others.

That's a huge FACTOR when picking out a new Dr. Bedside manners are important as well as the knowledge & experience. They treat you no differently as if you were their own family. You are not just another numbered patient but an individual who needs to be seen regardless what type of insurance you may have.

I am a new patient as of today. My first visit was with Dr. Diana Simmons. Diana explained everything to me to the point I had no questions to ask at the end. She even explained how my insurance will work when I visit her and that took a load off of my mind. The receptionist and staff were very friendly and appeared to love the job they were doing. Dr. Diana was great and I really look forward to her being my primary doctor.

I am a new patient here, I have just been her twice, and I love the attention they give you. The first time I was here, I was late, because I had the wrong number on the address, but after filling out the usual forms, I was seen by the nurse and then the doctor quite soon after I had announced myself. The second time I came I arrived on time and was seen within 15 minutes of my appointment time, my previous experiences with other clinics was a wait time of at least an hour, so Primary Care Joliet west gets a bunch of points for seeing me quickly.

Also I don't recall any other doctors or staff in other clinics remembering my name. This last visit I had a blood test, and then we added a pneumonia shot and an eye exam, I forgot both, luckily there was someone there to remind me. The staff there is very nice and I highly recommend this place
