I should have written this review months ago. I am a 61 year old man that has been on a two year journey for weight loss. Unfortunately, most men do not like to discuss this type of surgery. I assume because they are embarrassed or not willing to talk about it for one reason or another. I do not have this issue as I am proud of what I have done and beyond exited to tell anyone who will listen about my journey and procedures.

I had Gastric Sleeve surgery in 2020 with a fantastic doctor named David Oliak in Brea, California. He as well was outstanding. However, this review is about Dr. Powers. Approximately 18 months after my Gastric Sleeve surgery I wanted to have a Panniculectomy. (a surgery done to remove stretched out, excess fat and overhanging skin from your abdomen) So a friend that had went to Dr. Powers for a procedure recommended Dr. Powers to me.

I made an appointment to see her and was delighted with the information I was provided on my first visit and after receiving my quotation I then made my appointment. In a nutshell, Dr. Powers changed my life! This Dr. not only did a phenomenal job on my procedure but made me look like I was 25 again. After the surgery I have NEVER in my life seen such after care all the doctors I have in my life combined.

She checks up on me weeknight, weekends, texts, emails. This wonderful doctor and her staff cares about their patients like anything I've ever seen before. I went back to Dr. Powers for a second surgery and that was to remove more skin from my hips. That surgery was as successful as the first one and the same follow up routine happened as well. The greatest thing to me was during my Gastric Sleeve surgery and both of Dr. Powers surgery I NEVER took one pain pill.

I have probably seen Dr. Powers a dozen times or more at this point with all my follow ups and surgeries and this Dr. cares about me like it was my first time. I cannot say enough about Dr. Powers and her staff. From booking the appointment, the appointment reminders to the surgeries and amazing follow up I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mary Powers to anyone that needs help.

I consider her an amazing, caring person and this Dr. deserves recognition for her great work. Thank you Dr. Powers and her two main ladies. I will be forever grateful for what you have done. See you on my next follow up. I would be happy to accept any calls or questions about Dr. Powers for referral purposes.

Dr Mary Powers your receptionist just lost you thousands because of her unprofessional behavior and terrible attitude. You might want to regulate that.

She saved my body! This review is long overdue. I had a botched surgery by another plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. I almost lost my areolas! What was supposed to be a mommy make over turned out to be years of multiple surgeries. I had gone to 5 very well known plastic surgeons and none would take me as a patient. The last doctor I saw literally just straight out told me "I cannot help you " I need to see a Dr. that worked with cancer reconstructive breast.

I was in tears! He referred me to Dr. Mary Powers FINALLY I got some help. The sweetest, patient & kindest Dr. I have ever met. She truly transformed my breast and fixed my tummy tuck. I am forever grateful to her. I have referred quite a few friends & family and ALL of them have been very happy with her work. She does beautiful work. Thank you Dr. Powers for making me feel like a woman again!

After meeting with two other plastic surgeons (all three came recommended to us by our primary care physician ), my 18 year old daughter and I both felt the most confident in Dr Powers for my daughter's breast reduction. Dr Powers is patient, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, professional, friendly, and clearly incredibly skilled. During our initial consult, she spent a great deal of time with us just talking and answering questions.

We even went back for a second appointment to talk some more and to look at photos before we made our decision and we never felt pressured or rushed in any way. After the second appointment, my daughter felt absolutely certain that Dr Powers was the doctor who best understood what she was looking to achieve and the best doctor for the job! Dr Power's office made the pre op process very easy and straightforward and they were always available to answer any questions or address any concerns we had right up to the day of surgery.

Besides our pre op appointment with Dr Powers, we also got a phone call from her the night before surgery to discuss any last minute concerns, questions or fears prior to the surgery. The day of the surgery went incredibly well and Dr Powers was amazing. She kept my daughter calm and relaxed and her team was equally wonderful. She called our home that evening to check in, as did our anesthesiologist, and both checked in the next morning as well.

The surgery was six days ago and Dr Powers continues to check in nearly every day! My daughter has had an amazing recovery and is already THRILLED with her new appearance. I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say about our experience with Dr Powers or her entire staff. I am writing this review for other people who are worried and looking on Yelp. Trust me when I say making a decision like this for my daughter was one of the hardest decisions ever, and one we did not take lightly! I think Dr Powers is truly the best.

I have been hesitating writing this review, but after reading some of the other reviews, I thought it was time to speak up. This has been bothering me for years, and I want others to know what I sent through with this physician. I went for a consultation for a breast augmentation. I was referred to Dr. Powers, so I was confident of her abilities. She was polite, and after some time, I stated I would have the surgery.

I left the size up to her in regards to my body size. To get to the chase, my breasts came out larger than I expected, but that is nothing compared to the bigger problem. After, Dr. Powers removed the rap and bandages, my left was higher than the right side. When I would flex my muscle, the left side of my breast would move ip higher. It looked terrible.

She told me it would relax and slower move down. Wrong! I was so self conscience about it, I always tried to hide it. I asked and asked her about it, but her only response was that she did what she was suppose to do. That was not true. Finally. I went in for another surgery so she could attempt to resolve this problem. Botyom line, there was no change. So, I went through all of that for nothing.

Fast forward, I brought up the problem again. Dr. Powers asked me when I was going yo have surgery to fix the problem. She stated that she would take out the implants, and replace the implants, then place the imllanys on top of the muscle. But, I would have to pay all over again out of my pocket. Isn't that great? I spent all that money for nothing, and I would have to pay again.

That wasn't going to happen. This was her mistake. I went to two other plastic surgeons and both of them told me what she had done wrong, and what it would take to resolve the problem. I was so saddened by what happened. Dr. Power's never took any responsibility for what happened during surgery, and she never said stated she would redo the surgery at no cost to me.

In addition, her office manager at the time was so, so rude to me when I told her I was unhappy with the results, and that I had two other consultations. Yes, this happened years ago, but the problem with my left breast occured directly after the surgery, not years later. I did get the problem resolved by another plastic surgeon. Very sad that a person spends a large amount of money, goes through a surgery and recovery, then has to fight go get a doctor to do what is just ethical correct.

Dr. Powers saw me on various occasions after my procedure. The bottom line is that she has no skills to offer! Don't be disrespectful and assuming that you have a clue what happened to me. You are %100 wrong. I got mutilated and taken advantage of and others deserve to know before they choose her to do surgery on them. You have no right to address me at all.

The bottom line still remains that this woman's surgery left me with a double mastectomy. No discussion is needed beyond that. Her further interventions simply could not fix the damage done. I didn't deserve that, nor do I deserve your disrespectful commentary. Stop.

I'd never let her near me again! I had a full facelift nearly 2 years ago. She created horizontal lines from my ears almost to my mouth from the way she pulled the skin back and pinned it or whatever they do. Before the surgery I explained to her that I was adamant about NO fillers. After the surgery, I said how unhappy I was with those lines and she said, "Oh we can use fillers." Yikes! I then went to another plastic surgeon who I will review separately. He could not fix what she did.

Dr. Powers is absolutely amazing! I contemplated for about 10 years if I should have a breast augmentation. I had a friend who went to Doctor Powers and I was in disbelief that she had a breast augmentation because they looked so natural. I was nervous about having surgery and how my body would change. I met with Doctor Powers and immediately she made me feel so comfortable.

She is so sweet, she explains everything in detail and will put your mind at ease. I absolutely love my breasts and cannot imagine my body without them now. I feel so confident and beautiful in my own skin. I already have multiple friends who have made appointments with her since seeing my results. The best feeling was how Dr. Powers and her staff treated me throughout the entire journey and it did not end after the surgery either! Dr. Powers would personally call me daily to check in with me and answer any questions I had.

I am so grateful for her and her staff and for making it such a great experience. I would highly recommend Doctor Powers and just know you are in excellent hands! I will post pictures soon!

As far as patient care goes, Dr. Powers does go above and beyond to care for her patients, but when it came to the results I was told I would see after liposuction, they did not deliver. I was told I would see 70% reduction in fat and I didn't see anything. I kept being patient as I was constantly being told I had to wait 3-5 months to see final results.

I never went down 1 inch or even 1 lb. I paid $7500 for nothing! I was never more disappointed in my life. I repeatedly expressed my concern and Dr Powers kept telling me I needed to be patient. She tried to show me the before and after pictures to prove loss, but there was no difference at all only to prove I was right. I'm so glad I didn't book any other procedures. Big mistake!

Procedure: Breast Augmentation Patient Care: Dr. Powers went ABOVE AND BEYOND to provide me with excellent patient care. She is very thorough and explains everything very clearly. She spent over an hour with me during my initial consultation and answered all my questions enthusiastically. I had my surgery done at Community Hospital of Long Beach and I was really impressed with her team.

From the nurses to the anesthesiologist, I felt incredibly cared for and comfortable. The whole team is very supportive, friendly and caring. After my procedure, I received almost a DAILY call/text asking if I was doing okay and if I had any questions. I've never heard of patient care of this quality from a plastic surgeon before! Results: It has been 10 days since my surgery and I am SO HAPPY.

They are exactly what I wanted and what I had described to her during our consultation. It's only 10 days out so they will change, and I can't believe I already love them so much this early on in my post-op. Recommendation: I would go back to Dr. Powers in a heart beat!

I had my mini facelift and lipo of my chin yesterday. I had no general anesthesia and was scared. Dr. Powers and Isabelle calmed my nerves. Held my hand. Sung to me. It was a little long day. Recovering today. But they called me and comforted my fears all the way. Dr. Powers was confident, took her time, is a true artist. I am confident as my face takes shape it will be everything I wanted. It's already apparent. Thank you for refreshing the 55 year old face. Post pics to come. Recommend her and her staff highly!

When deciding on a doctor a person needs to know they not only have an excellent person to do a great surgery but must also pick a doctor and office staff that care and are just as good at follow-up and treatment. As a nurse I have seen many doctors and their surgery technique, follow-up care, and final outcomes. This doctor and her staff hit all three marks with an "A".

We in the medical profession see how many doctors practice and as a result go only to ones with the BEST results. She keeps a tight reign on all personnel in the OR, makes sure you will not emerge from your operation with undo pain or nausea - a very big thing to a patient after surgery. You have made a decision to do something for yourself - do not get lazy, do your homework and when all is done if you want the very BEST pick this doctor and her team.

You will look great and know you really did get the BEST. This is a long memo but it is so important to get a doctor that has skill and heart. As I said we in the medical profession pick the best person for the job - I did and so have many of my colleagues have as well and we are ALL pleased with our results.

My sister recommended Dr. Powers approx. 2 yrs ago and I've been going to her for Botox and Juvederm injections in my face every 4-5 months ever since. The staff is very helpful and professional, and Dr. Powers is not only conservative and skillful but she is warm and friendly. I love the results every time ~ natural, refreshed, and never overdone!

She listens, makes suggestions and most of all always takes her time. I never feel rushed, even when she is busy. I am a nurse and I appreciate the cleanliness of her office, and the rooms she performs the procedures in are always clean. I read a negative review posted on 8/18 and I laughed because I have never been put in a "small operatory" nor have I ever waited 40 minutes to be seen.

I must admit if I had to wait 40 minutes for Dr. Powers it would be well worth it because of the results and her prices! : Again, I am a nurse and if I ever saw "thick dust on every piece of furniture" and/or dirty rooms I would leave as well. That's inaccurate and totally ridiculous! I suggest you go to her office and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

I scheduled an appointment for some botox injections. I was put into a small opratory and waited 40 minutes. That was long enough to assess how dirty it was. Thick dust on every piece of furniture. Made me wonder how good their infection control could be. I decided that if they don't have that eye for detail, I didn't want them working on my face. Walked right out of the back door. Best decision ever!

Dr. Mary Powers is a gifted plastic surgeon whose surgical skill, compassion for her patients, and thorough post-surgical follow-up are just a few of the many qualities that make her stand out in her profession. I decided to see her after a friend whose appearance I complimented confided that Dr. Powers had given her a facelift. I was amazed because my friend had the strikingly attractive appearance of her younger years but lacked any obvious signs of plastic surgery that make a person look phoney.

I wanted that. When I saw Dr. Powers, she said I could get the result I wanted with a mini facelift, and she was right. I knew I was in good hands when the nurses at Long Beach Community Hospital who were prepping me kept telling me how great she was and how lucky I was to have her as my surgeon. I have recommended her to other friends who all were very happy with their results, including breast reduction, breast implants and a facelift. I know a male client of Dr. Powers who also has recommended her to friends.

Doctor Power's is the best surgeon and truly cares about her patients! I was recommended by my mother to come see doctor powers. I went in over a year ago and had my consultation on my nose. The office staff was very welcoming and enjoyable to talk with. Doctor Powers knew exactly what I wanted to do with my nose just taking a look at me. She is very skilled in her work and a talented surgeon who performs wonders.

The surgery came and she made the whole experience very comfortable. I was nervous but she talked me through it and reassured me everything will be over in no time. The best trait about Doctor Powers is that she goes above and beyond for her patients. After surgery she was there for me every step of the way. She checked in with me almost every day to make sure I was in no severe pain and taking the medication as needed.

I called Doctor Powers one night around 12 AM due to a sever migraine and she answered! I was torn between calling her but the pain was too much to handle. I was so thankful she answered and she told me exactly what to do to lower the pain level. I had to blow my nose haha which I thought I couldn't but it was causing congestion. The level of commitment she makes with her patients is the most rewarding!

She is genuine and makes sure her patients are in the best care. It was the best procedure and I am very happy with my results. I would recommend her to my family, friends, and anyone else interested in cosmetic surgery! I love my new nose and will be back again if I ever need any cosmetic surgery : Thanks Doctor Powers!

Dr. Powers is an AMAZING, outstanding plastic surgeon as well as an ARTIST with her ability to create a difference with my aging sagging skin and face. I interviewed several top rated Plastic Surgeons in Newport Beach and Los Angeles, but never found the right doctor until I met Dr. Powers. From the moment I met with her and her wonderful, very supportive staff, I knew she would be the perfect doctor to answer my requests.

She is an extraordinary professional who cares tremendously about her patients and their comfort. My husband, who is a doctor, went with me to my appointment and throughout my pre-op, surgery and post op period of time, which wasn't very long compared to other friends who have had the same procedures done. She called me several times before the surgery and daily during and after my recovery.

I have never been happier with my "new look." I feel refreshed and more than 10 years younger! I am no longer focusing on my wrinkles, having to wrap my neck in scarves all the time. Dr. Sullivan, my anesthesiologist, was amazing as well as the staff at Long Beach Memorial Community Hospital. I felt very comfortable in the hands of such a top notch caring team of professionals.

I wasn't nervous at all, just very excited! I wish I would have found Dr. Powers several years ago, but that is hind sight. AND, her office staff is an amazing group of women who are very kind, supportive and always on top of all the details! If the ratings were higher I would give her 100+.

I recently completed a hair transplant procedure at Dr. Powers' West Lake Village office and could not be happier. Sure wish I would not have put this off for decades. I feel so much better when I look in the mirror now! Dr. Powers made it clear that results cannot be guaranteed, but my satisfaction was her main concern. I was assured that any issues would be quickly resolved. From start to finish this was easier and now, more rewarding than I could have imagined. Thanks Dr. Powers

Dr. Powers is amazing. She takes excellent care of her patients and stays in touch through the healing process and beyond, which is so important. She is the smartest doctor of any specialty I've met, and she knows how to speak plain English to her patients. She is a master of her craft and her patients emerge beautiful, confident, and not at all plastic.

I had a rhinoplasty done by her, and I HATE it. I foolishly made the decision, in good faith, to attempt another surgery to "fix" it. It comes as no surprise that she only made it worse and I now am left with extreme regret. It wasn't crooked before but it sure was after. I wake up every morning hating my nose. AWFUL. Research other doctors! It isn't worth the risk.
