We have established an environment that puts diversity, equity and inclusion at the center of our work, and informs how we both approach and treat all our patients and families. As the major teaching hospital for women's health in the region, employees surpass their professional goals to find personally meaningful work, that impacts the lives of others and their stories.
While getting your pap smear and mammograms every year are critical to your well-being, it's important to monitor your overall health as well with a primary care physician. At the Center for Primary Care, our focus is not only on the specific health and wellness needs of our adult patients but on each patient's individual concerns, comfort, well-being, and convenience.
For years, menopause has been the subject of rumor and myth. At one time, it was believed that menopause was a disease. It was also thought that menopausal women were constantly depressed and just stopped having sex. They were treated as if their lives had ended. Thankfully, attitudes towards menopause have changed for the better.

I'm going to need more time to gather my thoughts. But no one should be saying things like "it's enough to make you end up in butler" suggesting I was going to end up there or "they're gonna have a domestic over a bagel" referring to me and my husband hours and also days after you deliver your baby!?!? So 1-2 days postpartum and this is what they're saying? or my favorite "you should Watch your tone or he's gonna leave you" in the labor and delivery room when inserting themselves into a discussion between you and your husband about not feeling supported during your whole pregnancy. Way way way inappropriate. So much more to say when I have the time. Just had a baby. Need to care for her and myself.

Was looking forward to our first visit with the Dr. With my daughter she's 19. We checked in with a very nice lady while I was waiting for check in to be done we were informed that I would have to wait outside by the elevator. I asked very politely if I could go in she is only 19 and nervous Shannon ( I believe this is her name I asked for her information ) she rolled her eyes and was rude looking at me like I was asking for 10 family members to be in the room with her.

I understand covid and all the risks we take every day. 1 person to support your loved ones it's been 3yrs and it's not going anywhere. At appointments like this and other special appointments they are being taken away from us.you maybe your love one. My Grams been in and out of the ER this last week and st.joseph said we could have 1 family member to support her.

That's fair. Obviously this office has other experiences that haven't been good because 3 stars. Shannon could have been nicer and at least tried to see if I could be there for my daughter first visit with the Dr. Being pregnant can be scary.

If you want surprise medical bills and price gouging, then I highly recommend going to Women & Infants. They scared us into doing a second ultrasound by saying there were some abnormalities with our baby, despite everything be fine. What parent wouldn't do a second ultrasound to support their baby? However, it costs an extra $750, which you only find out a month later. Having a child is expensive enough. I was born at Woman & Infants and I do not recommended working with this hospital or anyone in the Care New England network.

I had to come to the ER last night due to some excruciating pain I was in. Though the wait a little longer than normal (I completely understood especially being short staffed everywhere in health care at the moment) everyone was extremely nice from the moment I checked in to the moment I left. Dr Brown and his resident made me really comfortable with the exam they had to do and answered every question I had. All the nurses were beyond nice all apologetic for the long wait though they did not need to apologize I felt my problem was addressed properly and I was well taken care of.

I wanted to share what an amazing experience I had with Women & Infants Hospital. I had a very high risk twin pregnancy, in which I knew would require me to deliver prematurely for the safety of my babies and myself. I saw the Maternal Fetal Medicine team due to my high risk pregnancy and they were the ones who would deliver my babies. At 25 weeks, I was admitted for inpatient monitoring until I delivered my babies.

Each day, the doctors and nurses would check in and evaluate the monitoring results to make sure everything looked good. At 26 weeks 4 days, my mid-day monitoring of my babies looked very different than it had normally, so the doctors made the decision to deliver my babies via emergency c-section. I was very scared, but working with such an amazing team of doctors and nurses helped me immensely.

They saved my babies and made sure they got here safely, while also caring for me and keeping me calm and relaxed in one of the scarier situations I've experienced in life. I can't thank the doctors and nurses enough for the immaculate care they have given to me and it will be something I appreciate forever. My babies are now in NICU, and we have met another team of amazing doctors and nurses to work with our precious baby girls and help them grow. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say, and I'm unsure how I could ever thank the amazing team at W&I enough for all they have done for my family and me. I am forever grateful.

We had such an amazing experience at this hospital on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day when she decided to arrive. Every single person we encountered (and it was dozens) was helpful, respectful and kind. From the doctor who delivered our baby to the staff that cleaned the rooms and kept us fed. BIG shoutout to all the nurses / lactation consultants. As a first time mom I am super grateful for everyone who took part in the delivery and care in the first few intense days of my baby girls life. Highly recommend.

Delivered both of my kids here and have nothing bad to say. Everyone was professional and helpful. The rooms were clean, and comfortable, the food was good, the care was great. Thank you for all that you do for everyone!

Had our induction date set for 12/29. called to see what time, said there wasn't any time, we have to wait for them to call us, then why give a date. very unacceptable. Husband took time from work because we had that date. Do better. We understand short staffed, and covid but there's always better ways to communicate, especially with expecting parents. Being high risk to them isn't high risk. The staff has been good. communication is horrible

I highly recommend this hospital! My sister was battling Covid-19 and pneumonia all while trying to deliver my niece and in the first 10 min we checked in and they put her in a room right away. Thanks to all the staff and God who never left her side she had a safe delivery and a healthy baby. They did an outstanding job taking care of her and monitoring her so she can be with her baby and feel her best! THANK YOU WOMEN AND INFANTS for such an amazing job my sister is safe and recovering and my niece is beautiful and healthy : God Bless!

Really excellent hospital. These folks genuinely take of people. We had a complicated pregnancy and the doctors without a doubt saved both my wife and daughter. We have had kinda a lot of kids and I will say that the doctors were gentle but thorough with their explanations not so pushy with their suggestions so hospital make you do things. After was 10/10

I had my infertility treatment done there. I had the worst experience a human being could ever have! People have no knowledge at all and are extremely rude! Besides they are far from being organized! I had to monitor them with my medications etc! It was so stressful! Don't waist your money or time!

I can't say enough about how great everyone is at this hospital. Both times I stayed here the experience was amazing. From check-in to check-out.

31 weeks pregnant Went in to the adult emergency side due to really painful lower back pain. Went to check in and a lady said it'll take about 8 hours to be seen so I asked for any recommendations of what I can use for now or anyone in the back knows and a security dressed all in black at 4:14am 10/02/2021 came from the back and said "ain't nobody here a doctor go ask a doctor" with an attitude I am highly disappointed of the rude comment that was said to me while being in pain. First time going there and Hopefully I never have to go back there again worst experience.

I can't say enough about how great our experience was at this hospital for the birth of our baby boy. The nursing teams on each of the units we spent time on were fantastic and it was clear they loved what they were doing and truly cared about the health of baby and mommy. There are a lot of not so great reviews on this hospital but after our stay and having a medical background, I can honestly say you should have no worries about coming here for this special time! Thank you!

I wouldn't recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. They treated me so poorly during my labor with my premature baby, made no immediate action when my sons heart rate started dropping, OVERDOSED MY SON HOURS AFTER HE WAS BORN AND DIDN'T TELL ME FOR THREE DAYS, the office staff there are incredibly rude and unhelpful, they left me in a sweaty, bloody hospital gown for two days before a very nice nurse came in my room and was disgusted with how they had left me, truly a disgusting hospital with incompetent staff. I can't believe they have the nerve to call themselves the best hospital in Rhode Island
