At The Hand and Orthopaedic Center in Providence, RI, we employ the newest medical techniques available, combining this care with old-fashioned principles of availability and honesty in patient care. Unlike many practices today, at each of your medical visits you will be seen by Dr. Hubbard himself, not by another health care provider.
Dr. Hubbard and the team at the Rhode Island Hand and Orthopaedic Center specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of problems of the hand and upper extremity. He personally sees every patient and supervises all of the care they receive. Here patients are given prompt appointments, on the same day if necessary.
Today it is important that you have access to top-quality specialty care when you need it. The skill and knowledge of your surgeon depends on training and experience, and Dr. Hubbard received the best the profession has to offer. Dr. Hubbard originally came from New Hampshire, and now lives in Jamestown with his wife and their three dogs.
The office participates in most insurance plans, including Medicare and Worker's Compensation, and will help you get through the paperwork your plan requires. We will ask you for your insurance information when you call for our appointment. This allows us to contact the plan so that you can understand your responsibilities, such as co-pays and deductible.
Most hand and upper extremity procedures, including those on the shoulder, can be done in an outpatient setting. Dr. Hubbard works at Blackstone Valley Surgicare, in Johnston, RI. Located near Rte. 6 and Rte. 295, it has ample free parking and easy access, unlike busy hospital facilities. The center is owned by Chartercare.

Dr Hubbard and his staff are great! Typically there's not a long wait, maybe 15-20 min max. I've been going to him for many years & have never had a problem. He & his staff are professional, kind & get the job done whatever it is. He faithfully tends to his patients as promptly as possible. I highly recommend him!
