VeinCarePlus specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vein disorders including large varicose veins, spider veins and leg ulcers. All procedures are performed in an office setting utilizing state of the art techniques. VeinCarePlus also offers treatments for other minor procedures done in the comfort of our office setting. Some of the procedures we currently perform have been available from the beginning. Others have been added to take advantage of newer technologies and knowledge from around the world.

Dr. Owens and his staff have been serving the Madison community with out-patient surgical services since 1995. Dr. Owens has been a vein care specialist since 1994. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology, the largest professional organization of vein care physicians. He takes pride in thoughtful, well chosen, compassionate and gentle care.
Prolotherapy is a minimally invasive technique for relieving chronic musculoskeletal pain, by stimulating regeneration of ligament and tendon tissue, including capsular ligaments. A combination of lidocaine (numbing local anesthetic) plus concentrated sterile sugar solution (dextrose) is injected into the ligament or tendon fibers where they attatch to the bones next to the painful joint. The lidocaine makes the pain go away temporarily, which tells the doctor that the injections are in the right place.
In addition to vein care we provide various in office minor procedures. Vasectomy is a small procedure, but a large decision. Before you actually have a vasectomy, you should think about it carefully, because a vasectomy is designed to be permanent. If you are sure you want no more children in the future, vasectomy may be an excellent choice.
