Collaborative Care is dedicated to a holistic and collaborative approach to mental health and family wellness. We were founded in 1995 to provide affordable and accessible mental health services in the lower Montgomery and Bucks County areas. At Collaborative Care we believe that people can and do recover from mental illness. We focus on your strengths. We teach you to make informed choices about your own care at Collaborative.
Services
Collaborative Care was originally founded in 1995 by owner Sharon Katz. The practice was established to address the psychological aspects of mental illness and disability. The focus has always incorporated an evidence-based approach, assessing the whole person, as well as bringing alternative coping skills into the management of illness and disability, in addition to traditional psychiatry.
Collaborative Care endeavors to inspire its clinicians to integrate psychological theory, techniques, and research into their practices, so that our clients get the most complete care possible. Clients who come to our offices benefit from a comprehensive approach, combining psychopharmacology, neuroscience, and psychotherapy to receive a total mind and body treatment experience.
Psychotherapy is the use of psychological methods, particularly when based on regular personal interaction, to help a person change and overcome problems in desired ways. Psychotherapy aims to increase each individual's well-being and mental health, to resolve or mitigate troublesome behaviors, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts, or emotions, and to improve relationships and social functioning.
Our Abington location has been providing services since 2002 and continues to be dedicated to providing psychiatric and mental health services for adults and couple. The building was transformed from active house to a mental health home, giving patients a relaxed feel to engage their mental health needs.

Dr Cramer and past specialists I have worked with from collaborative care are great. My problem is with management. It takes a miracle to get a hold of someone at the front desk there. I've been trying to get a hold of someone for days regarding my prescription, and I have yet to hear back. I've tried calling, texting, use the patient portal, but it's always radio silence. How this place actually manages to keep running, is a mystery.

I've had an awful experience trying to get in contact with someone in the office to get my prescription refilled. The patient portal and chat system on their website are of no use as they say they don't have any record of my messages. You try to call the office and no one answers or when they do answer they act like it's not their problem. My NP Tom Roarty just left and I can see why.

Just saw him 2 weeks ago and have not been able to get my scripts filled. Currently withdrawing from my meds because I've been unable to get them and the staff could not care less. This is a totally unacceptable way to treat patients. Im not taking these meds for fun, they are necessary to my health and well-being. I will be looking for a new office

Dr Cintron is great, she explains everything well and has a good methodology. The reason for 1 star is because the front desk literally could not be worse. They will not answer your phone calls. They will not return your phone calls. They will not refill a prescription when your pharmacy asks. I am at a loss for anything that I can say that they will do.

Dr. Cramer is great. The support staff member I usually deal with at the front desk at the WG office is friendly and helpful. Otherwise I've had lousy experiences here. The two therapists I saw were awful. How or why they stay employed in the mental health field is baffling. Communication among staff is terrible. Good luck trying to get a call back, or getting a message through to your doctor.

The business office staff is rude and unhelpful and threatened to withhold my rx refill because I had an outstanding balance. Other than Dr Cramer, who is very professional and knowledgeable, I would definitely NOT recommend this agency.

For years, I was seeing Sharon Katz and was on several medications. When a person is on these medications, they're not supposed to make any changes to their dosage, and they are definitely not supposed to suddenly stop taking them. Everything is supposed to be closely monitored by the doctor. Yet the doctor let me run out of my medications completely, and ignored my calls for help after I had run out.

I was having symptoms from the sudden absence of the medications, and was very stressed out, trying to get someone from the office to call me back and actually help me. I finally reached someone from the office who relayed the message to Sharon, and my medications were refilled, but the same thing happened later, and no one bothered to return any of my calls for help this time.

It's been three months now, since I ran out of my medications. Sharon hasn't called me or honored my phone appointments. She hasn't even related messages through her staff members to me- nothing. One of last times I was in this office, one of her patients had committed suicide. Now I see why. After all, people come here for treatment of mental illness and are treated so badly and ignored, and as if that's not bad enough, the doctor allows them to run out of their medications and ignores their appointments and their calls for help.

No wonder why they lose hope! Here were are in the middle of a pandemic and I can't get my medications, but it's not because they're out of stock; it's because the doctor is negligent. The receptionist, Melissa, is very nasty on the phone. I called to find out if Sharon received my message, and Melissa got an attitude and said it would take two days for her to find out and that she would call me to let me know, but she never did.

By day five, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called back and Melissa cut me off mid-sentence and put me through to the admin voicemail. When I didn't hear anything back for a couple of days, I tried calling again an Melissa got nasty with me. I reminded Melissa that she was supposed to call me back, thinking that she would realize she was wrong for not calling me back, and offer a solution out at least quit with the nasty attitude already, but that didn't happen.

She just clicked me over to the admin voicemail and that was it. Once again, no call back, and my medications were not refilled. The next time I called, Melissa tried to tell me that I had an outstanding balance when I have a primary and a secondary insurance, which take care of everything. I let her know that she must not have put the secondary through and she got nasty with me and told me that I was going to have to fix it (when she was looking at my file in the computer at that very moment and could have edited it right then and there and fixed her mistake).

Yet there she was, trying to pick a fight with me- a mental health patient, who was calling to reach the doctor- Sharon. I can't understand why a mental health practice would have a receptionist who treats the patients shamefully, when they call, but this place does. Melissa takes her anger out on the patients and I guess it makes her feel better about herself.

Do you know what that makes her? A bully- a bully is rude and down right nasty; who doesn't want to help the patients or relay messages- you know. her job. People go there expecting treatment, and wind up being treated as if they are nothing but a bother. Some way to help people who are suffering- let me tell you. IF you WANT to be IGNORED, then by ALL MEANS, make an appointment here.

If you want your doctor to let you run out of your much needed medications and ignore your calls for help, then BY ALL MEANS, come here. BUT. IF you WANT to be treated RESPECTFULLY and IF you REALLY WANT to have your medications monitored (you know. the way they're supposed to be) and IF you REALLY WANT to have a doctor who CARES ENOUGH TO CALL YOU BACK, then I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE.

I booked an appointment 2 1/2 weeks in advance- the day before the appointment they call and cancelled it with no back up Dr. or person to talk to. I was rescheduled for an appointment 1 1/2 weeks after the original appt. The day before this appointment, I get another call that this Dr. also took off on a Friday and my appointment was again cancelled.

No openings until 3 weeks from then! I gave up opportunities to book other places and this place wasted my time for weeks. Pretty messed up to do that to people struggling with mental health issues.

Worst practice ever. First attempt to visit this clinic resulted in being turned away from service because I was 10 minutes late. I was re-scheduled and came back in two weeks. After calling prior to my visit, verifying the date and time, I arrived for my second attempt at service. They again could not see me. This time due to computer problems. I will never be returning, and I would not recommend this facility to anyone, for any reason. simply awful.
