Make the office of Carol A. Wood DO, PA, your new health care home. Dr. Wood takes the time to interview each patient and discuss his or her needs thoroughly. We offer a friendly and welcoming office with patients' needs our priority. As part of an accountable care organization, we strive to serve our patients as their health care hub, coordinating our patients' care with other providers as needed.
A D.O. is a medical doctor licensed by the state's medical regulatory board to practice medicine. Like M.D.s, D.O.s must graduate from an accredited four-year medical school and pass medical board exams prior to licensure by the state medical board. In order to become board certified in a specialty, they must graduate from an accredited 3 (or more) year residency program.
Ever since opening her office in late 2007, Dr Wood has offered bio-identical hormone therapy for both women and men, in the form of traditional prescription medicine as well as compounded medications. However, in 2013, after she completed training in BioTe, Dr Wood began to also offer bio-identical hormone pelleting as an option to meet the needs of hormone insufficiency.

Dr. Wood is amazing and so is her staff! Dr. Wood makes sure you understand what is going on and takes the time to explain in detail which is amazing. They also do courtesy calls to remind patients of upcoming apts, I referred my sister and she also loves Dr. Wood's practice, I definitely recommend!

The office is amazing and so is Dr. Wood. The only doctor that I have ever met that you can call the office and if she knows you have a question will get on the phone immediately. Dr. Wood is top notch! Never have I ever left her office feeling uneasy about the visit or about the treatment that I received.

Called specifically to find out of Dr Wood could help me with my health issues before I made apt. I am a self pay patient and can't afford to waste money. I was told after a few phone calls that Dr Wood could help and made an apt. Went to my apt just to find out that she's not able to help and told to see a specialist. So money wasted. Which is why I asked so many questions b4 I made apt.
I feel I was misled. Not to mention being hung up on when I called to ask a question. Edit. If it was a "technical" error then why not call me back? I made several calls and had several conversations about if y'all could help me b4 apt, but I was assured that y'all could help. If I had made 1 phone call and had 1 conversation then I would agree, but that's not the situation here.

I'm in my early 50's and took hormones orally. After about 6-9mths I no longer received the benefits from them. A family member told me about pellet or BioTe therapy. After researching I decided to visit Dr. Wood. First, I loved that the patient paperwork could be submitted electronically on the patient portal. Ahead of my schedule I spoke with her staff and had a full understanding of the appointment and what to expect of the treatment & appointment should I move forward.
We discussed costs as well. The day of my appointment I found the staff incredibly friendly and informative. I read some reviews about Dr. Wood's disposition. However, I found her to be more than friendly and she went deep into the process and answered all my questions. I was very encouraged with the visit overall. The day of the procedure was a breeze and again Dr.
Wood could not have been better. It's been 2 weeks since I had the procedure to insert the pellets and I am beginning to see the results in various ways and will definitely continue therapy. The cost is $350 every 4-5mth but its worth it to feel like myself again.

I have been going to Dr. Wood for about 6 years, and I find her to be a very fine Doctor. I would more than gladly recommend her to family and friends, and have done so. I appreciate the way she treats me, never condescending or uninterested in me as her patient. Her office personal are also top notch. I am very thankful that I was given Dr. Woods name, and for the care I have received!

The care I have recieved from Dr. Wood has been excellent over the past 5 years. She is direct and honest, but I so appreciate her humbleness when it is time to see a specialist, or recomend another physician for clarity. I have also recommender her to several friends, and family members for information, help and healing. Her approach is honest partnership.
