The office staff, nurses, Dr Aldred, and even the lab Tech. Were just wonderful. Started with my mom needed extra help, then I left my wallet at home they were helpful, kind, never any attitude and understanding. The nurse came into the waiting room (only a 20 minute wait) to see what my 86 year old mom needed. She's in a wheelchair. We talked with her then she came up with a plan that worked really well. Dr Aldred was kind, considered and treated her with the up most respect.

Let her know what he was thinking and what he needed to do to find the answers. He needed a blood tests and had the lady come to mom's room because of the wheelchair. I have been driving over a hour for my appointments for about 10 years. It has been worth it every time. The kind understanding Dr and staff alone would keep me coming back, but add on that 20 minutes wait time.oh yeah, I'll keep going back!

I don't have words good enough to describe Dr. Taylor. I believe she is walking and working in God's calling. She is very knowledgeable in her specialty. She has impeccable bedside manners. She treats you like a human being and not just another patient. She knows how to make you feel comfortable when delivering information about your situation. She makes it easy to understand.

I've never felt rushed during my visits. She goes above and beyond to ensure her patients receive the best care. I 100% trust Dr. Taylor for all of my GYN needs and would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.

Dr. Justin Alfred was super friendly and nice; and extremely thorough during my visit. He answered all my questions and put me at ease with things I was concerned about being a first time mom. It felt like he'd been seeing me for years instead of for the first time. I'm only 8 weeks along in my pregnancy, but looking forward to my next visit in a month with him! Such a wonderful feeling to have about a doctor. All the nurses were also super friendly. Such a a professional and friendly environment.

I have been going to OBGYN South for over 25 years. Dr. McKenzie not only is THE BEST, wisest, and smartest doctor, and keeps up with the latest, cutting edge developments in medicine, he treats his patients like family. He is never in a hurry during my appointments even though I am quite aware of how busy he is. He has taken such good care of me and always helps me in choosing the right course of action for my health. One of the KINDEST men I know.

I have been seeing Dr. Adcock for over 20 years now. He has always been very caring and attentive. He has such a kind bedside manner. The only issue I've have ever had, is the wait time. His staff is not always efficient in time-management. They may keep you waiting in the exam room because he had to go to labor and delivery. However, you are scheduled for a mammogram, and they could send you to to that instead of wasting your time.waiting!

Dr. Taylor is by far the best physician I've had in a long time. I went to ob-gyn south to have my baby. I was originally seeing another physician and I met Dr. Taylor on rotation. Her beside manner and compassion for her patients make her so adoring and loving. She has been my physician now for 6 years. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for quality care with a smile. I give her 10 stars out of 5

OB-GYN South and Dr. McKenzie have been wonderful! They are always easy to work with and fully explain everything to me and any questions I may have. I came to Dr. McKenzie with a concern and he has been proactive with my concern and always takes the time to explain things fully to me. From the front desk staff to the nurses they are all wonderful and very caring.

Dr. McKenzie is by far the best doctor. He's so courteous and always takes the extra time to be certain you understand and are comfortable. He delivered one of my babies and has taken great care of me for the last 14 years. He is compassionate and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and his staff.

There is always a friendly, laid-back atmosphere, and I always feel like they're glad to see me and that they truly care about me and my health. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Julie Taylor is my all time favorite doctor. She's so personable and even after seeing her a year apart each time she remembers things about my life like school, work, even dating haha. She does her best to make you feel comfortable and valued, not like you're just a patient to hurry in and hurry out. She's one of my favorite people and it's a blessing to know her. I've been seeing her ever since I was 20-21 yo when she was at St. Vincent's East. I'm 29 now and I'd recommend her to anyone.

Before today, I would have 100% recommended Dr. Childs and his NPs, because they are nothing but respectful and helpful, and it means a lot to feel like you're being heard after over a decade of fighting with another doctor to figure out how to manage your chronic pelvic pain. However, the rest of the staff is extremely rude, and I ended up in tears this morning after a call from them, after being spoken to like a child and talked down to, when I was simply asking for help when they told me I'd need them do something that's not my responsibility, simply because my meds weren't pricy enough for them to waste time on the paperwork.

And this is all after being in their office yesterday and hearing two members of the staff complain loudly about having to wear a mask and how the pandemic isn't going to stop them from doing what they want. All while they're supposed to be showing you to an exam room - guess my time isn't as valuable as their complaint about having to minor precautions during a global pandemic.

At this point in time, I would give the practice a 2.5/5, because while the docs and NPs have been nothing but helpful and very professional during appointments, the same can't be said for the other staff. As a matter of fact, if you ask them for help and then get frustrated because they constantly speak over you and are snippy and condescending, they'll call you names and hang up on you.

I LOVE my doctor here, but some of the receptionists blatantly went against their own mask rules during my visit. Very disappointing and didn't make me feel safe. Please do better.

First off, I'm puzzled as to why they don't have 5 stars! The office staff are wonderful and the nurses in the back are as well. I have nothing bad to say about OB-GYN South or the employees. I was referred by a family member and hesitant at first, but I couldn't be happier with my choice. I see Dr. Aldred and I highly recommend him to anyone searching. Dr. Aldred is very thorough, you can tell he sincerely cares about your issues and he is just an all around exceptional doctor! I would not trade doctors for the world after being one of Dr. Aldred's patients.

Wish I could give them 0 stars and if it weren't for my great doctor I'd never come back. I made a joke to the receptionist saying it felt like I just updated my info but she yelled at me and condescendingly said well its 2020 and you have to fill it out. Never said I wouldnt, just that it felt silly since i did it my last appt. I had an appt for pre surgery and thought i had to do something important but i just had to pick up soap. Why couldnt i have done that when i first scheduled surgery? I burned an hour of my time just for soap. This place is ridiculous.

The doctors are great. Best in the business! The receptionist's are terrible. They get an attitude, and will not help to get you seen in the case of emergencies. 5 stars for the physicians, -1 for the receptionists.

This place is awesome, all the Dr's are very nice and it's great that this is a Christian OBGYN. Dr. Mckenzie has been my doctor through both my pregnancies and is great!

I LOVE this office. All of the doctors are wonderful. We moved when I was 30 weeks pregnant for my husband to begin grad school at UAB. I was extremely nervous about having to find anew OB. I got to meet all of the doctors that deliver babies and honestly wouldn't be able to choose a favorite because they were all so great! Extremely happy with my experience here!

My experiences with this practice have been some of the worst of my life. I was willing to look over certain things such as wait times that ran ridiculously long, odd hours, overbearing religious views, judgemental attitudes and so on and so forth but it was my last appointment that pushed me over the edge. I'm currently only the depo shot which I'm supposed to have every 90 days.

On my last appointment, I scheduled my next shot at the front desk just as I was supposed to and went on my merry way. I show up on my appointment date and after waiting for twenty minutes, I'm called back to the nurse's station. It's there that I'm informed that I'm late on my shot. I was very confused and explained that I came on the day I was told by reception, just like always.

She explained to me again that they must have been mistaken because I was outside of the date for my shot. Did they test me? No. Did they apologize for the mistake? No. I wasn't even allowed to see a doctor and was made to wait even longer while the nurse ran back and forth asking questions. I was panicked, angry and confused. They informed me that I would not be able to get my shot and that I would have to come back in two weeks for a pregnancy test.

I was LIVID and so confused. How could they make this mistake? I must have called ten offices, explained my situation and asked what the proper procedure would be for my situation. They all calmed me down and explained that they should have tested me, given me the shot and asked me to come back in two weeks for a test. They also explained that I more than likely had nothing to worry about for various reasons. Why couldn't OBGYN South have done the same thing? I have no idea. I understand coming to this place as a last resort but if you have a choice, DON'T GO.
