I can't say enough about the sense of satisfaction I feel from performing medical, surgical and laser procedures. I get just as excited as the patients when they experience improvement in their vision. It's wonderful to see that, often in just minutes, you can brighten someone's outlook on life. Mark I. The function of your eye can be compared to the workings of a camera. Just as a camera focuses light rays onto film to register a picture, the lens of your eye focuses light onto your retina to form an image. If the camera lens is scratched or dirty, your picture will not be perfectly clear. Similarly, abnormalities of the lens of your eye (such as a cataract) will affect how well you can see.

The quality of customer care deteriorated significantly since using the practice five years ago. I found unfriendly, unhelpful staff, excessive time in the exam process, no personal care or eye contact with the doctor. The building and office complex is very large and sprawled out with no attention paid to the needs of elderly patients. I witnessed at least three very elderly patients whose accompanying caregivers were under the impression that they would need to leave the patient there alone.
Then these elderly persons were left on their own to manage a process which might require relocating to three or more offices, extended waits while standing alone to finalize the process, to hunt for the nearly hidden bathroom which was located many yards outside the office complex and nowhere near an aged bladder's needs. I saw no less than five staff members.
Only one of them, a delightful trainee from Jamaica, bothered with interaction. The office staff was abrupt, inattentive to the needs of those at the desk and the waiting patients at the checkout process. When one staff member was informed that the process was less than pleasant, she undertook a loud argument with this patient. My overall impression was that the professional and support staff were no longer enjoying their jobs, each other, or the patients. This is a drastic change from my nearly thirty year experience with this practice. I will be giving consideration to locating a different practice for my future needs

As a doctor who frequently refers to eye care specialists, I am ALWAYS very please with the results they send back. Dr. Raciti in particular is probably one of the best cataract surgeons in the Midwest. When I end up needing cataract surgery or if any of my family ever needed eye surgery in any way, shape, or form, this would be the place I would go, hands down. Very, very reliable doctors at this office - you will not be disappointed in coming here

Dr. Raciti was very kind and I heard he is one of the best. But some of his staff are very rude! I called with concerns about one of my eyes and was told that it had nothing to do with the cataract surgery and more to do with the many birthdays I have had. I worked in the Medical field for 27 years and would have been fired for talking to a patient that way!

My vision is worse since I had cataract surgery. Went to the West Allis office. My post up visits with their in house Optomitrist was not good. First EX for reading was too strong. Couldn't read anything. Went back had another exam. This one I feel is not strong enough. I have to use glasses and magnifying glass in order to read. Distance was much better after the surgery was completed.
That only lasted 2 months. I feel I need both for reading and distance. Because it was not the fault of the place where I usually go. I had to pay for the 2nd RX. Overall I am very disappointed. Some of the staff are rude. Waiting time at office much too long. Would not recommend Eye Care Specialists. My vision isn't any better. Yes I did have cataracts?
Do more research then I did. When I took the 2nd RX to where I usually go for eye exams and glasses I was took there was a big difference between the two exam scripts. I go to a private office not a chain. I pay a lot as I don't have vision insurance. I will never go back to Eye Care Specialists! Specialists?
