TMJ Treatment Centers provide the best treatment services for patients suffering from complex head, face, mouth, temporomandibular joint, and neck pain, as well for those suffering from snoring or sleep apnea. Our practice is the only group practice in Wisconsin whose doctors are residency trained and/or board certified in orofacial pain. The TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Centers was founded by Dr. Jay L. Mackman in 1982 and has been providing services to patients in Southeastern Wisconsin for over 34 years.
Services
Our physicians are dedicated professionals, committed to treating patients with courtesy, respect, and compassion. They are board certified by the American Board of Orofacial Pain and/or the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and/or graduates of a two-year advanced TMJ residency program. Additionally, our doctors are diplomats, fellows and/or members of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Tache is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After graduating from dental school, he completed an advanced General Dentistry Residency program at the Veterans Administration Hospital (VA)/University of Texas Dental Branch (UTDB). Dr. Tache attended an 18-month training program for the diagnosis and treatment of Myofascial Pain Dysfunction (MPD).
Dr. Nisley is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 2019. He then completed a 2-year residency program at the University of Minnesota TMD, Orofacial Pain, and Dental Sleep Medicine Clinic. During his residency at the University of Minnesota, he was trained in the management of temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain, dental sleep medicine for OSA, and sleep bruxism.

I am so very pleased with the treatment and progress I have made at TMJ & Orofacial pain treatment centers of Wisconsin. Dr. Desai's evaluation was comprehensive and informative. He was able to diagnose my jaw condition and start me on a plan to recovery. Jacob Raml, physical therapist worked on my jaw with great improvement after 6 weeks of therapy. The office staff is friendly and ready to assist new patients. Today I am pain-free with no limitations in my jaw movement! Thank you Dr. Desai and Jake!

When I first began treatment at the TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Center I was scarcely able to consume even the softest foods without severe pain. Tracy Bolton, PT Jake, and Dr. Bhavic Desai have overseen a remarkable turnaround in my ability to engage in everyday activities comfortably again. They, like the entire staff of the TMJ Center, have been knowledgeable, professional, and encouraging throughout my treatment.

Dr. Desai, Jake -Physical Therapist, and front desk staff are all very courteous, professional, and truly care about their patients. They all care about one's health and care about one as a whole. Dr. Desai showed concern for my kids as they are predisposed to the same TMJ issues that I have. This is the first time I saw a doctor go beyond his call of duty to take care of his patients and family. I am humbled to have this great team in this office in Racine to take good care of our health. Dr. Desai whole heartedly took that oath to take care of others.

I am rewriting a previously frustrated post due to billing concerns. The billing department manager reached out to find solutions to my problems and was very helpful. The doctors and care I received was very good. The doctors are caring, informative, and punctual. If you have billing concerns as I did, please reach out and speak with the manager if you aren't getting the help you need.
