Great 1st time visit. Didn't have a preference on doctors but just chose Dr Thomas. Glad I did. Very comfortable and informed exam. Dr Thomas was patient and explained my condition in very easy to understand terms. He didn't push surgery as a first option but instead suggested other treatments. Everyone I encountered was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Dr Thomas and staff

Dr Thomas, his NP Chris and staff are thoughtful and attentive. Their choice of injections and PT as a conservative approach instead of jumping into surgery has been really appreciated by me. They spend time to listen, comparing old and new images before suggesting a treatment plan. They see each patent as an individual.

This was my first visit to OrthoGeorgia and Dr Ojo. The office is a well oiled machine getting patients moving yet without feeling rushed. Everyone was pleasant. The Dr was very nice and knowledgeable giving me my options for treatment. Even though I am a nurse everything was explained in detail. Very happy with this practice

Dr. Patel and his staff while I was at Atrium Navecent of Macon was very caring very informative his surgery left me with out any scaring. His bedside manner was fantastic. His care post op along with his staff was very informative caring and they put me at ease. They played a hand in my full recovery. I was very satisfied. Will definitely return.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice. From the time I entered the building to the time I left I was met with kindness, and extreme professionalism. Dr Sapp is Amazing! He's going to be operating on my hand soon and I felt so much at ease having this decision made. Seriously, go see them!

Tamika, Tamika, Tamika. She was an absolute doll! She can brighten up any day! She was very sweet and patient with my mother (fractured ankle) and seeing her interact with everyone made us super comfortable. Everyone we encountered has a caring nature and Dr. Ojo has a wonderful bedside manner. Hopefully we won't need to see them often, but if we have to, we know we're in good hands!

From my first appointment with Dr. Hoffman I felt comfortable with him. He took the time during my appointment to answer and completely explain things on my level. The messaging from start to finish was a great help as well. The videos that showed and explained each exercise were helpful too. Thank you Doctor Hoffman, glad and happy I was directed your way for my joint replacement.

Even though we had an issue with the shoulder surgery, I would go to Dr Thomas again. I wish the doctors clearing me for surgery gave Dr Thomas and I the information needed so that the surgery was perfect. I received excellent care from Dr Thomas and his NP-C Chris. We will revisit the shoulder again next year. All my doctors WILL be giving Dr Thomas as much information as possible.

I have had 2 other surgeries in the past. I have never had a doc communicate daily with information and encouragement. My recovery would not have gone as well as it has without those daily text. There were days that I did not want to exercise. But thought if Dr. Hoffman is concerned about my recovery, I have to work hard. I actually looked forward to receiving those correspondence. Thank you.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My dad had an appointment with Dr. Blackwell today for a wrist that's been giving him issues. My dad informed him that he'd recently had x-rays taken at the urgent care. Dr. Blackwell insisted on taking X-rays even though my dad voiced concerns about the insurance paying for another set. Dr. Blackwell stepped out and within an earshot told his nurse "I don't care if they (insurance) do charge him, do another set of x-rays".
Even after all of this (and no conclusion from the x-rays) Dr. Blackwell did not offer PT because "my dad seemed to be doing well." He only offered a shot which my dad did not want. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. I will make sure my dad has a visit to a reputable doctor in Atlanta.

I was so relieved that my family member received such wonderful orthopedic surgical care at OrthoGeorgia. His surgeon, Dr. Pope, was excellent. Every step of the way, the doctor and his staff did everything to make the experience as simple and comfortable as possible. The surgery has transformed the quality of his life. More than ten years of progressive difficulty walking, crippling in the end, was erased in a very short time. The positive outcome of the surgery was far more than we could have hoped. The members of this practice should be so proud of the work they do.

I've been to OrthoGeorgia many times through the years for myself and different family members and have always had a positive experience until my latest visit. The nurse practitioner I saw seemed caring, thorough and very knowledgeable. My complaint is with the receptionist who presented as impatient, rude and dismissive. She should thank Jesus I wasn't feeling the same way.
She even asked me, "well, what do you want us to do?". I'm not a doctor, lady, if I knew what to do I wouldn't be here, you can bet on that. I've read complaints on this and other sites about their receptionists. Either OrthGeorgia doesn't read reviews or they don't care. If the receptionist is the face of OrthoGeorgia, then it's an ugly one.

If I could give a zero I would. Was referred by a cardiologist to see Dr. William Dasher for left arm pain. Made the appointment and was told the consultation would cost $300.00. Arrived at appointment, paid the $300.00. During check in they also ask for my insurance card, not thinking anything of it, I gave them that as well. Not only did I pay them what I was told the consult would cost, they also billed my insurance company, got paid by the insurance company and for months has hassled me for additional money. Told there business office I would not pay them another $150.00 so they sent me to collections.
If all of this is not enough, I was misdiagnosed by Dr. Dasher who told me I needed a cervical fusion surgery for a herniated disc in the neck. Good thing I followed my instincts and consulted with a neurosurgeon in Atlanta who consults for some of our professional sports teams in the state. He was adamant that I was not a surgical candidate for neck surgery.
It did take some time but I finally found the right doctor who correctly diagnosed me and I was able to solve my issue with physical therapy. If Ortho Georgia can't handle minor issues correctly, should they be trusted with major decisions? Chris W. 10/2018

I gave them a 3 star but only because of the caring doctors and nurses. If it were just for the front desk they would get a 2 star rating. I am a disabled Vet and come in often for care. I see a spinal chord specialist and a knee specialist. Saturday I came in for urgent care. I had recently been in a car wreck and was having alot of pain due to injuries sustained at that time.
The clerk at the front desk wouldn't even sign me in. Apparently she is a licensed physician and immediately diagnosed me. She told me they couldnt do anything and to go to Navicent for care. I dont know what the criteria for care is but apparently close to death is required and not severe pain.

I'm not sure what happened with the people with bad reviews. This is my honest review. I had a unsuccessful back surgery out of Athens. Went to OrthoGeorgia and saw Dr Dasher. He is a good man and great Dr. But let me back up and say the front desk people have always been polite and professional. I have not ever had to wait more than 10 minutes before my name was called to go see the Dr.
It was determined I needed a "clean out" surgery. Basically take it all out and do it over. Dr Dasher and his staff were able to get me into to surgery in a timely manner. It required me being in the hospital Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. At 5:00 AM Christmas Day Dr Dasher was at my bed side checking on me! I was overwhelmed. He actually came everyday I was there. My previous surgeon came to see me once. I highly recommend OrthoGeorgia

I saw Dr. Schnetzer at the Milledgeville office for an ongoing back problem. The entire exam felt rushed and he spoke down to my wife when she asked a question about physical therapy. He recommended a spinal injection and gave me a two meds. He didn't really seem to be in touch with the level of pain I was experiencing. He took ZERO time explaining my problem and treatment options.
After i got the injection, ( which only helped for about a week), we decided to head to our winter home in Arizona for further treatment. Had we stayed, I would've seen another doctor. I was not comfortable with Schnetzer at all. I have now seen a doctor in Arizona and have a treatment plan and relief from a lot of my pain. The other doctors in this clinic may be fine.

Couldn't even get an appointment for a knee injury. I was refused at the so called "urgent care walk in" because I didn't have a record of previous surgeries, simply said no and watched me slowly hobble out of the office. to even make an appointment I had to have these records in. I provided them a couple days later, but I was still refused an appointment until "a doctor had reviewed my paperwork".
I called daily for 2 weeks but still didn't get an appointment. I was able to go to middle GA orthopedic, make an appointment, and get in with a doctor before OrthoGeorgia ever even scheduled me.

The cost they "estimated" for me was way way lower for a simple procedure. We expected to be billed for "other" in house providers but then the doctor charged way way more than he told us. What we expected to be several thousand dollars turns out to be about $13,000.00. Cost was important to me and I feel like I was drastically misled and charged about 4 times what they estimated.

I recently came to OrthoGA cuz of knee problems. I found out they had a hand specialist, Dr. Blackwell. I simply asked for an appointment and was given one. Upon seeing Dr. Blackwell he thoroughly explained Carpal Tunnel to me and how it is repaired. He immediately ordered a nerve study. Upon diagnosis he scheduled the first surgery which has been a complete success with minimal pain and discomfort afterwards.
I saw immediate results following the surgery. I have reported the symptoms to my regular physicians for years with no tests or treatments. Thank you Dr. Blackwell, you are awesome.

One star for the front desk customer service! Very rude and obnoxious customer services front desk! Doctors are extremely wonderful. Came in they had me fill in the same paperwork that I completed last week. And no it wasn't because of the new year. Then on top of it they had me fill out paperwork that was required to be filled out online! Really?
Do your job! I recommend the Forsyth Street location over Northside. They have a beautiful facility but customer service lacks, customer service is a must in the health industry.

LET ME SAY THIS: Coming to GA with medical issues was scary, would I find anyone good? TODAY WAS THE BEST MEDICAL DAY! I wish I would say everything is fine, I will need surgery, but I finally have a diagnosis: Carpal tunnel and Osteoarthritis. ANYONE who needs a hand specialist/orthopedist I recommend Dr Robinson at ORTHOGA in Macon, GA. Not only did I get the diagnosis but it was EXPLAINED to me in an easy to follow, easy to understand way.
The future dos hold surgery, wrist fusion and carpal tunnel surgery, BUT I'm not sure I've EVER trusted a Dr in such a confident way! And here's the best. I had to move from Rhode Island to Georgia to find a great hand surgeon.who went to Brown University in Rhode Island!

To start, each appointment I have had to wait over an hour to get called back, then had to wait another fifteen plus minutes for the provider to come in. Once the provider came in, they were in the room less than 2 minutes. I wasn't even given an opportunity to speak and ask questions! It has not been a pleasant experience at OrthoGa on Forsyth Street. I would not even consider being a patient there again.

Such a beautiful facility with such wretched customer service. The pre-op nurse was a downright hateful person. Otherwise the place is freezing and most of the staff have an "edge". It's hard to believe that these people wouldn't be trained on quality customer service. Poor attitudes turn away customers. The doctors are good, the urgent care nurses are sweet & friendly, the check in desk is nice.after that, you are treated VERY poorly.
