I wish I could give them negative stars, this office is a joke, no one is practicing CDC guidelines due to COVID. No handwashing and no masks. The doctors doesn't listen to the patients, they got my records messed up twice and had to recreate them several times. They transferred me to another MD office at 29 weeks and never discussed it with me to tell me that I became a high risk pregnancy.
So now I'm 29 weeks pregnant and having to find another doctor that will accept me. It scares me because I feel that I will not find another doctor this late in my pregnancy and will be without a MD to deliver my baby. PLEASE I BEG YOU DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE FOR CARE, BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CARE HERE OR EVEN SAFE CARE.

Highly disappointed with this office. Of course being covid is going on my husband wasn't allowed to go back with me. I can understand if all Dr's etc were wearing a mask but not 1 person was wearing a mask. They said that they were trying to protect the patients and personel but yet nobody was wearing mask. I went to the room and all 3 people that were in that room including Dr were UNMASKED. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!

I am still dealing with PTSD issues from the horrific experience I had with this OBGYN office. I had my baby a couple of years ago and now that I am pregnant again I just felt the need to finally share my experience. For one I was FAT-SHAMED the entire time by Durkee. He absolutely has zero respect for plus size women. He will constantly bring your weight up and criticize you.
He told me flat out from the beginning I was "fat and would need a c-section". At one point I was showing every sign of pre-eclampsia and he literally blamed my weight, he never checked and berated me over the fluid retention NOT WEIGHT GAIN because he assumed the weight gain was from "eating too much" I was going to the gym 3 times a week and he literally scoffed and said "no way".
Thank god the nurse practitioner listened and decided to check me and found out I in fact had developed pre-eclampsia. Then Carter "checked my cervix" but actually did a sweep without telling me so when I started bleeding and freaked out I had to ask other doctors what was happening. They were completely rushed and never told me what was happening from visit to visit.
I went through the entire pregnancy confused, bullied and scared to speak because of how cruelly I was treated. My labor was horrendous. They induced me and were running late so I ended up with no pain control for HOURS in labor. I wasn't updated on anything and finally Durkee walked in and scoffed and forced a c-section. Then as I laid there awake I heard him making fun of me while he and the midwife were sewing me up.
I assumed something they did was wrong because I developed a deep tissue infection (which he denied despite another doctor literally finding it and having to treat it). All around just a traumatizing. I highly recommend another doctor.

If I were just eating Dr. Brooks himself it would be 5 stars! He's very attentive and asks a lot of questions and answers all of my questions thoroughly. I didn't feel rushed and he took his time with me. With that being said I cannot get anyone to call me back for test results or set up my app for the results portal. And the phlebotomist stuck me 4 times and finally got blood drawn in the 4th time. But it's hard to find a good dr these days so I will definitely stay with Dr Brooks despite the other staff issues

At Macon Gyn/Ob Associates Pa @ 655 Coliseum drive, they do not care about you or your future little ones. They lied to me for 2 WEEKS about their schedule being booked, that's until I called from another number and alias with better insurance and they were available that very next day. I also spoke to the owner, Lisa, which I was looking forward to letting know how her receptionists treat potential patients.
Now I understand where the rudeness and down right disrespect for new mothers comes from. She yelled at me on the phone when I explained how unfairly we were being treated. Do not expect any kind of guidance, they will tell you to call somebody else if you are not their potential pay check. Since they refused to see me, I asked for any information they could help me with and they told me to call another doctor for advice.
If you are an expecting mother, DO NOT CALL THIS OFFICE, they are no help. ALSO, this took place over the course of a month including getting approved for Medicaid. These people also knew I was staying out of work (I work out of state) to be available when they had an opening. Waiting hand and foot for this office was a terrible mistake. We are now starting from scratch and we wouldn't wish this misfortune on anybody, I beg you, PLEASE FIND A BETTER DOCTOR!

I actually like Cindy Lucas NP the problem I had was with her medical assistant. She was so incredibly rude when I had requested my test results. I had called various times because the lab I was working with was going to release the CT scan directly to Cindy Lucas NP. When I did finally talk to her medical assistant she had a very sarcastic, rude tone about the results of my CT scan. When they asked if I wanted to reschedule I declined. I wish there was a women's Heath group that actually took the needs of their patients seriously.

Dr. Durkee is very rude, he seemed to have an attitude because I wanted my birth control taken out after 3 months because I was having a bad experience with it. I heard him and the nurse talking outside, when she told him that I wanted it out he said "really" and walked in the room with an attitude. I will not be going back. I've given him chance after chance. When I go I always feel like he's always rushing me. He does not need as many patients that he has.

I love every one there except Dr. Durkee. He shamed me for my stretch marks and weight gain. He made a comment about my body never recovering and said my stretch marks looked like C-section scars. Im pregnant with my first. He made comments about the midwife not knowing how to check a cervix when I know he didnt check mine correctly due to the fact that when he checked I did not bleed.
I have palaps on my cervix that bleed when touched. He has terrible bedside manner. And is very rude. I have been watching what I eat and exercising for months to try to help my weight gain. I dont go to the doctor to be shamed. Stacey stout is fantastic. Straight forward and blunt without being rude. And I think excellent at her job. And the nursing staff are friendly and make you feel at home every time you visit. Thankyou for being there for me on this exciting journey. Added to my previous review.
I saw him a week ago and he made comments about my weight. How my stretch marks looked like csection scars. How i would never recover from my pregnancy. A week prior I had seen Stacey stout who told me I was nearly 2 cm dilated 75% effaced. He said she didn't know what she was talking about and I was not dilated. I went to my appointment today with Dr. Carter and I am 3cm and 100% effaced.
Which verified my suspicion that durkee did not check correctly. He is rude and has a strong and obvious dislike for pregnant woman. He should not be working in a feild that requires him to care for woman. Pregnant or not. I've read previous reviews and cannot believe he still has his license. And I will not allow him to touch me or my child when the time comes for me to deliver.
