Such a great experience at Wilmarth Eye and Laser Center. I have been wearing contact lenses for over 25 years, and I was hesitant to get my eyes fixed. I went in a for a consultation, and Dr. Wilmarth made me feel so confident in getting lasik surgery. I had a couple pre-surgery appointments, all done very quickly and easily, and then I went in for surgery.

The lasik surgery was PAINLESS and so so quick. Recovery was just as easy, and by the next morning, I was seeing as clear as if I were still wearing my contact lenses. I'm now a week out of surgery, I have better than perfect vision, and I'm so so happy with my results! Thank you to Dr. Wilmarth and his team!

My wife came to Dr Wilmarth for LASIK eye surgery and we are very happy with the results. I felt comfortable with Dr. Wilmarth's training and ability to do the procedure seamlessly. Wonderful, clean office!

Long Story short: best money I ever spent. Short story long: eye surgery is not something I'm going to risk by trying to find a "good deal." It was important to me to find someone experienced and capable. Dr. Wilmarth came recommended by a friend who did her surgery a year prior. He's been doing it for almost 30 years. He's efficient, which is something I appreciate.

I wasn't looking to be coddled but I did have questions that he answered knowledgeably. I trust him completely and recommend him to all of my friends who want lasik. My vision was -4.75 (R) and -5.25 (L) with astigmatism. It's now corrected to what my vision was in contacts/glasses and that's not even fully recovered. I can not recommend Dr. Wilmarth enough. Yes, it's pricey, but the biggest draw for me was that I knew someone who had surgery with him and loved it. I'm not about to risk my eyes on a doctor who hasn't been vetted. So look no further. This guy knows his stuff.

I was referred here by a friend who was very pleased with his results, and now I am too! Setting up an appointment was very straightforward and the communication about the process and what to expect was very thorough and clear. I had a slight astigmatism with 20/30 vision, so I wasn't very handicapped by my blurriness; I just wanted things to be perfect. Dr Wilmarth reassured me that I was a wonderful candidate (I resisted feeling special).

Within a few days of the surgery my vision felt almost completely clear and my eyesight is now at 20/15 (better than typical)! I have absolutely no side effects except for slightly dry eyes in the first 30 days. I feel like I have superhero vision when it comes to seeing crisp trees in the distance on hilltops. They provide 0% financing through a Wells Fargo credit card.

I'm not a fan of the WF website and general business, but it was very convenient for me. This is not the cheapest LASIK you'll find, but it appears to be the highest quality and I love knowing that I got the best value for my permanent eyes that I have to live with forever. Dr Wilmarth is very proud of his life's work and enthusiastic about what he does for people.

It occasionally sounds arrogant or perhaps dismissive if you have fears about the process, but just know that he's confident because he's been doing this for thousands of people his whole career. You'll be happy with his results.

The bright spot in this crazy 2020 year - my new, much improved vision after bilateral cataract surgery and multi-focal lens implantation by the talented Dr. Wilmarth. Colors are bright, clarity in distance vision, ability to read books without using readers, improvement in all areas of vision in just a few weeks since my surgeries.

His office staff is warm & receptive, never a wait, and assistants demonstrate full understanding of their important roles in measuring eye acuity & explaining what they are doing. Dr. Wilmarth's expertise in performing eye surgery is of the highest quality & he is the consummate professional. The world is looking good with my 'new eyes.' Highly recommend.

Dr. Wilmarth and his staff are second to none. I have long wanted to get LASIK surgery, but seeing as one only gets a single pair of eyes, I've been nervous to go forward. I finally decided that 2020 was the perfect year to go for 20/20 vision :. Dr. Wilmarth did that and more. I am 2 months post-op and have 20/15 vision after years of being -4.25 in both eyes.

The surgery itself took less than 10 minutes and I was feeling pretty good after a 3 hour nap the same day. He and his team are informative, friendly, and skilled at what they do. I highly recommend his services to anyone!

6month post LASIK with Dr. Wilmarth. I can see! No glasses no issues whatsoever. Having surgery with Dr. Wilmarth was beyond the biggest blessing of my life. Run don't walk and get your consult. I am seeing my world through new eyes. 2020 still has been full of unexpected and unwanted surprises, but my bilateral cataract surgery with Dr. Wilmarth this past month has been a bright spot in this crazy year. Dr. Wilmarth is the consummate professional, and after my evaluation I felt completely safe under his care.his expertise with cataract extraction is of the highest quality.

He explained the procedure, and the choice of lenses clearly & concisely. My choice of multifocal lenses in both eyes yielded near perfect vision in these 73 year old eyes. The bright colors, clarity of vision, ability to read signs, the TV banners, seeing the tennis ball clearly. I feel fortunate indeed. I can read the back of a medicine bottle, emails on my computer, the TV 10 feet away and street signs a quarter mile away, all without the glasses I've always worn. This miracle is due to the fact that Dr. Wilmarth removed my cataracts and implanted lens. I'm so thrilled to see vivid colors again. This was a life-changing event for me. Dr Wilmarth and the staff was wonderful.

I had one of the most uncomfortable doctor visits in my life here. when I sat in the office, the lady attending had a mask that wasnt even covering her nose. I could hear the doctor speaking to another patient next to mine, he was being very friendly to them. when he came to my room he just shouted from the door, not coming into the room and asked why I was there ( I had been previously seen at kaiser for a pterygium as well as them letting me know i needed restasis for dry eye, previous suspicion of prolactinoma) he shouted at me asking why i thought I had dry eyes " what makes you think that? who told you that" he talked to me in a condescending tone and told me that I needed to blink more, and it was a mild to moderate case and I needed to stop using eye drops so much and just blink more.

I am a mixed Latina, I cant make assumptions but its had not to feel that he treated me differently because I am a person of color. He was coughing a lot close to my face as well. Please steer clear of this doctor. I was in tears after this, I have severe eye pain and definitely do not need this kind of treatment

Highly disappointed and insulted. I've been going to Dr. Wilmarth for about 20 years. I scheduled my last appointment with Dr. Wilmarth just to be told I'm no longer his patient. I'm now another Dr.'s patient. Very ungrateful and entitled, so disgusted. Officially no longer a patient, I'm giving him the same curiosity, blindsided.

The Doctor and surgical team are highly adept in knowing various conditions of the eye along with on point customer service! I felt at ease from start to finish and couldn't have asked for better results!

I just had my Lasik procedure preformed at Steve Wilmarth's office and I am thrilled with the results! My vision is now remarkable, I was actually able to see and go about tasks mere hours after the procedure. In addition, Colette and the rest of the staff at Dr. Wilmarth's office are superb and made me feel very comfortable and the Lasik was done in less then 10 minutes. Dr. Wilmarth kept me engaged the entire procedure and I very much appreciated the dialogue and quirky humor to make the time pass even quicker. I would recommend Dr Wilmarth to anyone considering Lasik corrective surgery. My only regret is that I didn't have it done sooner!

Excellent service and surgical team. Dr Wilmarth is a very skilled MD. I went from wearing a glasses prescription of -5.00 in both eyes to 10/15 visual acuity which is better than 20/20! Being legally blind one day to no longer having to rely on glasses or contacts is a dream come true. I was definitely nervous about lasik correction but the staff made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The surgical technicians, staff, office and surgery center are all pristine! Thank you Dr Wilmarth!

Dr Wilmarth made a mistake on my prescription for my bifocal eye glasses, he forgot to add the reading strength for my bifocals, so when I went to pick up my new eye glasses they were wrong. I called his office and left a message, (and am still waiting for a call back which will never come as they don't answer their messages). Since my message went unanswered, I went into his office with the new wrong eyeglasses and the prescription he had given me.

At first the tech said that my old glasses which I was wearing were not bifocals - hello - I have been wearing bifocals for 15 years, and yes they are! Then she said yeah looks like he forgot to add the correct reading dimensions; not once did I get an apology, or a sorry for the inconvenience of you having to drive all the way from Marysville to Roseville because of our mistake.

They had an attitude that I was upset about this whole situation. When they were asked what are you going to do about my glasses that I paid almost $300 for and are now basically paper weights, the answer was - that depends on the policy of the place where you bought the glasses. They made a mistake, we are all human and mistakes happen, but for goodness sake take ownership of it.

You can tell a lot about an organization by the way they rectify their mistakes, and this place dropped the ball big time. Had they said at the beginning, we're sorry, we did make a mistake, apologies for the inconvenience, that would have gone a long way towards an amicable ending. I will not go back here, time to move on and find a doctor's office with some integrity.

Dr. Wilmarth did my LASIK in January of 2019. They made it easy to go through. My results are excellent. I have recommended Dr. Wilmarth to my friends and colleagues whom ask why I no longer wear glasses.

Recently I underwent successful cataract surgery performed by Dr. James Tucker. I couldn't have been more pleased with Dr. Tucker's professionalism, his willingness to address my questions and concerns, and the empathy and care he demonstrated throughout the process. Dr. Tucker is a credit to his profession and a skilled practitioner I would highly recommend.

My wife had 20/650 vision in one eye, and 20/750 in the other. We went in for evaluation, and Dr. Wilmarth recommended we start with an ICL procedure, and then "fine-tune" that with Lasik if necessary. His entire staff demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism and kindness. Colette in particular was a joy to work with. Throughout the entire process the communication was clear, thorough, kind, and timely.

My wife now has 20/20 vision and she couldn't be happier. If you are considering an eye procedure, this is the place to get it done. Everything from the professionalism of the staff, to the human kindness, to the results were 5/5 star. Bravo, team, bravo!

Never had a chance to visit this place because they do not return phone calls. They take all your info, name, phone number, email address, but never call you. Why even have an after hours help if you're not going to utilize it. Very disappointed in your customer service.

Fantastic experience throughout the pre-op, the procedure itself, and the couple of post-op appointments I've had so far. I went in for moderate to severe hyperopia (far-sightedness), so I would get heavy eye fatigue and lose focus when reading text or small print for any longer than a few minutes. After the Lasik, I now have 20/15 visual acuity and can read for hours without eye fatigue.

While it is a significant financial outlay, I was not looking for the discount-chain "99 cent store" type of place to operate on my eyes; I was looking for the best of the best, and I can confidently say that is what you get if you go to Wilmarth Eye and Laser. Thank you again doc! Nick

I have known Dr. Wilmarth for years through our children's school. I had great vision my entire life but then it all changed when I reached my late 40s. Ultimately, I couldn't read up close or even drive very well without glasses. I didn't last long with the inconvenience of glasses. And, I had a terrible time trying to work with contact lenses.

Since Dr. Wilmarth has such an excellent reputation in the area, I decided to schedule a consult. Dr. Wilmarth's staff is very experienced and they seem to really enjoy what they do. They were very kind to me and treated me as though I was important. I didn't research any other doctors for this procedure since my very best friend, who is extremely well-researched, told me she would never go to anyone other than Dr. Wilmarth.

I had both eyes fixed for distance. My distance vision now is very sharp. I haven't reached for my glasses since the surgery three weeks ago. I have also found that if I back up my reading materials an extra 6 inches or so, I'm able to read magazines, newspapers, etc. much better even though I had my eyes fixed only for improving distance.

I have only reached for my "cheater" reading glasses a few times since the surgery for very small print. I know a lot of people spend years considering this procedure. I'm super grateful for Dr. Wilmarth and I'm very happy to have my life back! Thank you!

I put off having this surgery for years. What a mistake, should have done it years ago. I have been in glasses for 45 years and this is incredible. From the moment I made the appointment to see if I was eligible, to the moment I had the surgery, it was a breeze. Collette, Pat, Shawn and Dr. Wilmarth were amazing. The whole place was clean. The people kind and efficient.

They were patient with all my questions and concerns. My husband went in and they were honest that he wasn't a great candidate. We appreciate that, as so many others would have taken our money and who knows what damage would have happened. I am four days post surgery and I have 20/15 and 20/20! Worth every penny and so easy!

After a couple of less than positive Lasik consultations with other doctors I scheduled an appointment with the staff at Wilmarth Eye & laser. The office is clean, well staffed & very professional in appearance. I was seen almost immediately upon arrival. I meet with Amanda who performed the eye exam & answered all of my questions in great detail.

She was very professional, polite & seemed to enjoy her job. After Amanda completed the exam I meet with Dr. Wilmarth, again very professional, knowledgeable & easy to talk to. He seemed like a person that also enjoyed his job. I have not made the decision to have the Lasik surgery as of yet, but when I do it will be with Dr. Wilmarth & his staff. Thanks again!
