Pathology Services was organized in 1967 by George Haslam, M.D., a former University of Nebraska pathology professor, who saw a need for pathology expertise in western Nebraska and parts of Colorado and Kansas. The current full time pathologists have been in practice together for more than 30 years. Two part time pathologists also help serve the needs of the area.
Our practice is based in North Platte. We also provide consultative services to 18 small rural hospitals as well as many clinics. We receive clinical, surgical and cytology specimens from these hospitals and regional clinics.

Pathology Services works with DNA Diagnostic Center to provide collection services for DNA testing to determine paternity. Please call DNA Diagnostic Center at 800-613-5768 or visit www.dnacenter.com to schedule an appointment. Once an appointment has been set up, DNA center will contact Pathology Services to set up an appointment for collection.
Pathology Services, P.C. offers full services in anatomic pathology. Anatomic pathology includes surgical pathology as well as post-mortem examinations (autopsies). Correct identification of the site of removal of tissue specimens and careful labeling are very important. Small Biopsies: Submit all biopsies from separate sites in individual containers.

Our Cytology Laboratory offers comprehensive cytodiagnostic screening and examination of all Gynecologic, Non-Gynecologic, and Fine Needle Aspiration specimens. Our ASCP certified Pathologists and Cytotechnologists are committed to providing the highest level of cytology services and quality care.
