Went there after I had fallen and hurt my ankle. I got x rays done. They said I only had a sprained ankle after another week of pain went to my primary doctor so took x rays and showed me not one but 2 breaks in my ankle. Do no go to this hospital.

Worst experience of my life going into the ER room. The doctor was a joke did not take my symptoms seriously along with the nurse and PA. 1st time ever I felt unsafe in a hospital.

Don't go to this hospital. My son has gone there several times and a lot of the times they have not done blood draws to find the root cause and yet when he goes to his uw primary, he was very surprised blood draws were not done to further evaluate the situation. This time my son goes in for chest pain and tightness and vomiting and they do a ct scan (expose him to radiation) just to show inflammation from him vomiting.

No EKG to find out if there's something with the heart since the chest pain and tightness and the blood draw showed elevated white blood cell count. BUT HEY YOU CAN GO HOME! what a stinking joke that hospital is! If you want to live or be taken care of drive a half hour and go to UW HOSPITAL!

Have been trying to get medical records for over a month. Natalie from medical records seems like a Gestapo agent. I filled out and emailed her a consent, and asked for a written paper copy of my 2 echocardiograms that were performed by Dr. Sharon Haase (so they do not show up in MyChart), and the CD images as well. I explained that I am awaiting a workup at Mayo Clinic, and they have asked me to obtain these.

My work up at Mayo is being held up, until I can obtain these. I received the CD image, but no written reports. I emailed and asked for the written reports, and was answered and told that there were mailed on March 29. It is not April 26, and I do not have them. About 1 week ago, I emailed again begging for my written reports - no answer. Today I phoned, and was rudely spoken to by Natalie, no apology, just justified that she had mailed them March 29.

I told her that she probably did, but it did not matter, as I have not received them, and am still waiting for them. I wish that I could say that this was the first bad experience I have had with Natalie, but it is not. About 18 months ago, I needed medical records, and she told me I was not allowed to enter the building. When I asked for a supervisor, the supervisor told me that was ridiculous, and had no idea why she told me I could not enter the building. Yes, it was during Covid, and I would wear a mask and summit to temperature checks, etc., but this would be no reason to keep a customer out of the building. The hospital would do well to replace her. She is not an asset to the hospital.

I just had the best experience a person could have at a hospital. I went in for a two hour infusion. My nurse Faraday RN is a true professional. She made me feel comfortable immediately. Throughout the procedure she answered all my questions very thoroughly. She put the IV in perfect the first time.(I usually have to get stuck 3-4 times to find what they are looking for) I know there are many good nurses out there. This happened to be my lucky day, and I got one of the best. Thank you Beaver Dam hospital for having her on your staff. Thank you very much Faraday.

My dad went for his after surgery check up appointment and found out he had a fever. He felt fine at the time and had no idea. The doctor or nurse scolded him and said ur gonna get my staff sick. Earlier in the year he had blood work and found his cholesterol triglycerides were very high and that he shows pre diabetes. The cholesterol medication that was approved for him to take says one of the side effects is that it might cause diabetes or pre diabetes.

Why would he take that then if when it could have the potential to make things worse or it would cause diabetes when he's already showing he might be pre diabetic. He instead is taking a natural product that is known to be very effective and has high reviews.

This used to be a good place but has gone down hill over the years due to mismanagement. I will never use there services. Because they discriminate. They are going to Fire all unvaxinated employees NEVER USE A FACILITIES THAT PUSHES DANGEROUS VACCINE MANDATES

- Absolute garbage place. - They have no problem writing up urgent care visits as emergency which is $1000+ more on your bill. There are 2 different company's in this building which just makes it more difficult when it comes to insurance. Save yourself and drive 30 minutes to any other hospital.

This is for the clinic operating out of the hospital: not the ER department, though I was met with completely unprofessional nurses and doctors while I was excessively bleeding after losing a baby, who said extremely rude and insensitive things things while I was bleeding all over the table and did absolutely nothing for me. No ultrasound, no nothing.

I was prescribed an antibiotic that is widely known by competent healthcare providers, to be ineffective for UTI's. You guys made me wait two weeks to get tested for a UTI, told me the test was negative, made me wait another week to get in again, and then said "oh maybe there is a little infection." My urine was crystallized and backed all the way up into my kidneys by the point you identified I had an infection.

You did a urine culture and still did not get it right. ON TOP OF THAT you prescribed me an antibiotic that is known to be ineffective for UTIS. Your quality control team needs to work on quality care improvement because this facility is severely lacking. I had a UTI for over a month, I went to a different clinic and was relieved of my symptoms in TWO DAYS. I suffered for a month because your physicians couldn't figure out a routine UTI. And you still billed me even though you basically did nothing but make me suffer.

The absolute worst place to go. I've had my own bad experiences there, but my boyfriend's takes the cake. He went to the ER after dental surgery for excessive bleeding. We got a bill and have been paying it. Now we find out there is a second bill for a single visit that we never received and is now in collections. How horrible does a hospital have to be to not even send the bill but have the audacity to send it to collections.

We've now been charged roughly $1500 for gauze at this point since that's all they did for him. You'd be in much better hands driving into Madison and going to literally any other hospital. *update They considered is bleeding gums a level 3 out of 5 emergency even though the doctor himself said there was nothing he could do. When asked for a definition of the different levels we were given a vague answer and sent a letter that in just read that because they did an exam, made a diagnosis, and gave him a pain reliever that that is why they can justify a higher level and higher bill.

They also described the diagnosis as "moderate complexity" so apparently when given the info that he just had oral surgery and is bleeding excessively, that took a little extra effort to figure out what was wrong. Do not go here if your pockets aren't lined or you don't have decent medical insurance. This place rips people off without care. They shouldn't be allowed to call themselves a medical facility if this is how they intend to treat their lower income/uninsured patients. That $1500 they charged us was after the uninsured discount they offer. What a joke.

Just had a colonoscopy today. Been to many hospitals. My experience here was wonderful people, professional and they made me feel safe and super comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more.

I'm writing this review for people to be aware of excessive ER charges even if you say NO.I was seen at the ER and was asked for a urine sample. I was then asked if I could be pregnant. I'm 52, in menopause and was never able to have children. I said NO twice to them. No Means No. I got my bill and was charge $130 for a pregnancy test. Furious I asked for a refund and Beaver Dam Hospital refused.

You are hearing more and more when your in an emergency situation they take advantage of your crisis and bill you for extra tests and outrageous amounts, which to me seems illegal. I tried to fight the charges especially since I told them NO to the pregnancy not once but twice and they did it anyways. Cruel especially to a person who never could have kids, even worst refusing to make it right. Filling their pockets $$$$.

I went there to Urgent Care for a simple doctors note to be able to return to work from having the flu back in February of 2020. Not only did I receive a bill from the hospital for around $100 (which is normal), but I also received a $450 bill from Envision. After just now (September of 2020), after 6 months of calls and emails to the hospital administration office, the billing department, and Envision, trying to figure out why I have this other bill, thinking maybe I got billed accidentally for an emergency room visit, I get a call from Envision. Turns out the doctors there work in Urgent Care for Envision and not the hospital and you receive two bills.

Two bills! I have never seen this before at any hospital I have been to. I definitely advise you get a primary care physician unless it's an emergency. I definitely feel like I got taken advantage of, but my hope is the person reading this can save some time, money, and frustration in the future. Good luck!

First I have to say I was hesitant about the type of care we may have received based off these reviews but I will tell you that we received great care here. We are not from Wisconsin and were here to visit family. Our 17 month old son started feeling sick on our trip here and wasn't improving. So we Decided to take him to urgent care, and drove 45 min to get there because it was in network for our insurance.

We were greeted by nice staff, we were taken to triage about 10 min after arriving and a nurse came in quickly. She was kind, prompt and knowledgeable especially with a pretty uncooperative 17 month old. Our Dr. Mary, was also great. She gave our son great care, prompt diagnosis and options on treatment to get him feeling better. They gave all all script options when it came to being late and from being out of town.

Also at discharge she explained our care was under urgent care, so we'd be billed accordingly. (,f or all those bad reviews that said they didn't know or got billed wrong, obviously we haven't seen our bill but at check out we paid or urgent care Co pay, not. Emergency), they wished us well, were very thorough and even gave my son a teddy bear at the end. It was all around a good experience and we spent about and hour and a half total there.

Always friendly and compassionate staff. Appointments are flexible, even if the Dr has to use his lunch break to help you. Calm, clean waiting area. I highly recommend their care and medical services.

I really love the staff here. The office is clean, the nurses and doctors are fantastic, and I always feel welcome. Seriously, I love this place. So why the one star rating? Billing. Their billing system is the worst I've ever dealt with. The second-to-last time I was there, I paid for the appointment that day, even though they hadn't put it through my insurance yet (which doesn't cover the service anyway--argh!).

Now I know the fee because it's always the same and thought I'd save myself the stamp. I asked to make sure I had no outstanding balance (the receptionist checked and said I hadn't--it's super confusing when you keep getting bills in the mail for stuff you'd already paid), and then paid my balance forward for that day's visit.

I then received a bill for that very same visit a couple of weeks later. Now, this has happened before. I've been double-charged several times now, and when I brought it up to the receptionist, she told me that the company they contract with is "new at it, " and that I should call them directly. I don't have time for that. I've been a patient for over a year now, and I have a recurring appointment every eleven weeks.

I shouldn't have to call over being charged several times for the same visit (which technically should be covered by law anyway but my company is grandfathered in on some stupid technicality). This happens a lot. I now get to spend an afternoon on the phone with this contractor and go through an itemized list of dates and check clearings for the past 15 months.

Do you honestly think I want to do that? HELL NO. I'm going to Planned Parenthood. $78 every eleven weeks to remain a responsible human being is hard enough. $78 more than once every eleven weeks because your billing contractor is still figuring it out? Wow. I got better care when I was poor and had to go to PP. Now a few of the women I work with also go to this place.

After getting my second "unpaid" bill for this past visit in the mail, I was huffing about it over lunch. And guess what? It's not only happening to me, it's happening to the other women I work with. I just can't do it anymore. :( I'm sorry, wonderful staff of BDWH! I love you, but I'm breaking up with you. It's not you--it's your billing contractor. ::sniff::
