My 86 year old grandmother was in a very bad state due to incompetence from individuals at a larger Well know medical trauma hospital in Boston. She was discharged worsted than when she went in. I called 911 and they took her to Sturdy. The Attleboro EMTS and nurses where exceptional. The nurses were able to diagnose her properly and provided her with relieve treatment before transferring her back to her hospital with the diagnosis necessary for them to treat her properly. Thank you so much for helping to saving my grandmother's life. May God bless you richly.

Recently had some tests completed through my obgyn at Sturdy. Even though I've been making monthly payments on the balance EVERY MONTH they still keep sending me letters and told me over the phone that it doesnt matter if I make payments that if I owe a balance past 120 days they can report to a collections and credit company! Real be they should be ashamed of themselves and their policy.
I am currently unemployed thx to the ridiculous vaccination mandate in MA. To try to punish someone who is legitimately making payments is selfish and wrong. I know the laws abd will be contacting a lawyer if need be. If this us your policy then I will STOP all further monthly payments.

I've been to sturdy memorial hospital quite a bit in the last two years and I wanted to take the time to say the staff is incredible. Thank you to all who I have been in contact with that works at sturdy memorial hospital

Came in as an 18 year old with shortness of breath and chest pain. Did multiple tests and imaging only to find out I had a Pulmonary Embolism stuck in my lung that was ready to break loose at any minute. It's unusual for someone my age to even have a Pulmonary Embolism. I'm glad they kept digging and didn't cross out any possibilities it could have been. Extremely helpful staff, took care of me and my needs. Appreciate all the help. I would have died if it were for Sturdy. Thank you.

This place is a joke. Dr. Rotloff may be the worse doctor ever. Heard him complaining about having to see me while I was in the hallway. I had gone for an ultrasound and leg pain. Said there was no known cause of pain, but it is from my healing torn achilles. He didn't want to hear about my pain or my anxiety and just discharged me. I was not treated for any of my ailments. Will not come back here, and going to make more complaints about this so called doctor.

Dor the last 12 years I've used Sturdy memorial hospital. I had never used it till I was recommended to a specialist that works with them. The specialist and my own pcp have been wonderful. But the Emergency room is horrible. In December my husband who was very ill, sat waiting for 4 hours before being seen. He was septic at the time. During that visit, he had a CT scan, which at first they said nothing was wrong, then they admitted him overnight.
Where a doctor came in, overnight and told him about the kidney issues he was having that the ER doctor missed. Well now I read the CT scan results from his visit, and sure enough, they didn't mention the 17mm gallstone. Now he gets better from being septic, and sure enough, he goes back in last Monday for horrible pain. This time since they were not busy they got him in. CT scan again ( needless to say, we didn't know about the gallstone till Tuesday of last week after he had a new patient appt with the pcp we had to wait several months for him to get into) but the ER doctor we saw was sure she was going to see a gallstone with how much pain he is in. well she never mentioned it.
It was the pcp who saw the ct scans and is choosing to do more testing. To say I'm upset is an understatement. Last Monday he should have had surgery for the gallbladder to be removed as an emergency procedure, but yet he was sent home with yet again not being told about it. I've already told my husband the next ER trip, will not be done there.

I just was discharged from this hospital. I am actually not from this area. I was visiting someone when I had a terrible gall bladder attack. The hospital was small, a little outdated but I'm gonna tell you something. This hospital has put my faith back into the healthcare system! They where so crowded, but they took me immediately in such pain I was in.
The nurses, and PCA's I can remember some of their names. Kara who was downstairs in the ER, was amazing! Amy, Brianna I believe was in the tele observation unit. Karen, Jovi, Aiesha (pca) and Peyton. Dr Roodhouse thank you all for all the care, never rushing me out the door after surgery. They just made sure everything was good before letting me leave. I think I am going to always come here as far as it is because the staff ALL STAFF WAS AMAZING!

It is sad for me to leave a 1 star review, because my family and I have had great quality care and respect at times in the past. However, my overall experience with Sturdy is awful. Treatment is extrememly inconsistent. The last time I was in the ER was for extreme tooth pain. I mean the kind of pain that makes you shake and your vision foggy and you wish for anything to take it away.
They gave me tylenol and sent me home. I begged for them to do anything else to relieve the pain just until I could get to my dentist the next day. Nothing. I am well aware of the opioid crisis, but this was a time where giving just one or two day's supply of a stronger painkiller could have saved me from staying up all night into the next afternoon shaking in pain and taking way more other medications than I should have had to to try to help.
But I wasn't taken seriously. I've also had to have a couple of telehealth appointments with my PCP office (through sturdy associates). I always ask about co-payments or any charges I owe, because I want to settle them right away. Somehow, I built up multiple missed payments that I am not even fully sure what they are, which I was never informed about.
I got one notice in the mail and apparently they were building up for months. I called and asked about it and the person helping me was nice but didn't have an answer. She helped me make a payment for everything I owed. I repeatedly asked if this was everything I owed and was told yes multiple times. Yet somehow here I am months later with a collection agency harrassing me and hundreds of dollars more that I apparently owe from months and months ago, but was never informed about yet again.
I'm just sick of them getting things wrong. I'm sick of poor communication and unprofessionalism. And I'm sick of (some - too many) of the staff not listening to patients' concerns and addressing them WITH the patient. So yeah, if you've got no where else to go, you might have to use sturdy. But if you do, stay on top of them and advocate for yourself. And hopefully you'll have a better experience than me.

My son, 8, with a complex disability was just assaulted by the security guard named Chad. My son was in an escalated state and pushed a heavy chair in front of the door. Without asking my son to move the chair, the guard screamed at my son to "knock it off" and then shoved the chair into him with a great amount of force. Had my son not jumped out of the way, the chair would have slammed into him and injured him.
This "man" should be fired. The first day we were here a different guard threatened to "draw blood" from my son if he wasn't compliant. Disgusting the lack of empathy and unprofessionalism.

I've been an ER nurse for a long time, and our entire family was sick with Covid to start off the New Year. On day six of being sick, I noticed that my husband was more lethargic than he should be, but I was too ill to bring him to the hospital. I called EMS and requested that he go to Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Every experience we have had there has always been efficient, with outstanding care and I knew he needed to be there.
He was far sicker than we ever imagined, having Covid pneumonia and then 24 hours later a pulmonary embolism. The nurses recognized his oxygen requirements were increasing and had him in the ICU very quickly. The entire team involved with his care saved his life and kept me well informed every step of the way. There's no doubt in our minds that they saved his life and we are forever grateful for the amazing care and compassion given to him, first hand and to me from afar.

This review is specific to Day Surgery. Yesterday I went in to have my galbladder removed. Literally every person I came in contact with gave me a sense of comfort. From the nice lady at check-in, to the nurses at pre-op. Every one I came in contact with was nice and even engaged with my sense of humor. They explained everything thoroughly. The surgeon Dr. Statman was solid as well.
The post-op nurses were lovely even with my level of pain they were calm and patient. At no point did I feel concerned or not made to feel important. I've always been appreciative of Sturday Memorial. I've heard and read some bad reviews and I've never had such an experience. So I just want to say thanks to all the staff that made the surgery smooth and complete. I'm on day 2 and im already feeling better and looking forward to having a better quality of life.

Beware-Totally incompetent billing dept. Our insurance fully covers all services we have gotten from Sturdy/Associates, but since they do not file claims properly, we keep receiving repeat bills. We've been inconvenienced and have had to call our insurance provider 3 times due to Sturdy's errors. Our insurance has told us every single time that the billed services are covered and that Sturdy repeatedly files the claims incorrectly, causing them to be denied.
I'm not calling Sturdy anymore to straighten this out- bills are going in the garbage and we'll be looking for new health care providers outside of the Sturdy network. Unfortunately, this is the 4th instance over the past 13 years that I've had billing issues with them due to THEIR error! Please folks, if you receive a Sturdy bill and have insurance, take time to question it before just paying! Double-check with your insurance provider. As a former employee. I'm so glad I left. such an embarrassment.

The wait is crazy long yes. That's to be expected especially with staffing issues. All of the nurses are incredible. Most of the Drs are great. I have had a couple who weren't but unsure if they are still there. I delivered both my babies there. Again, nurses were wonderful. The Dr who delivered my first was an awful Dr who is no longer employed there, Thank God.
The other delivery was done by Dr Philosophe who is a wonderful and caring Dr. I know this hospital has bad reviews but it really depends on what Dr you get. The nurses and front desk are always fantastic and I feel as though I'm taken good care of when I'm there.

First let me say that 1 star is way too much. We were told visiting hours were 1-3 and 5-7. Drove from Wareham to visit father in law, were stopped at the door and told visiting is 11-1 and 5-7, no exceptions. Rules changed. And only one person can visit per day, no switching off, only one. Let me just say this policy is ludicrous. They are not saving anyone by keeping loved ones from their families. Especially when they are sick.

My dad was admitted to the emergency yesterday at 4 am in the morning didn't get a room until today at 1 am in the morning. Called them yesterday and was told we couldn't go in the er which is fine 100 miles round trip yesterday waste of time they told us visiting hours was 1 to 3 and 5 to 7. Got there at 1 pm and told us visiting hours are 11 to 1 another explained my my phone call yesterday and again 100 miles for nothing.
These people at this hospital have no clue what the other hand is doing. If they can't even do simple task I can only imagine what they do with difficult task. I'm glad I live far away and don't have to deal with incompetent personal. Good luck to anyone that needs service from Sturdy. Go to Rhode Island if you can. My mother was at Sturdy and because of their incompetence she transfered to Rhode Island and they took very good care of her not like this loser Hospital

I started at Urgent Care in Plainville because of rib pain. They told me up front there was a 45-minute wait and their X-ray tech was out, so they could evaluate me but would send me to the ER if I needed an X-ray. I chose to just go to ER. Every single person I engaged with was great: friendly, professional, efficient without rushing. I received excellent, thorough care.

Awful, just awful. Can't describe how bad this low class "hospital " is. Go home and take ibuprofen is what you will get after sitting around forever. I have a job, with decent insurance, but forced to go to this horrible place cos I live in Attleboro area. Don't ever get mixed up with Sturdy, Sturdy PT, Sturdy Urgent Care, etc.

Sadly I fell and was forced to go to Sturdy ER because I jokingly said I was going to shoot myself to EMTs which is stupid since I do not even have a cap gun in the house. In this COVID trap I was forced into a bed in the ER corridor for 10 hours. I had cut my hand and was bleeding but thus was ignored for the first 7 hours by my Karen of a nurse who really was named Karen by some very observing parents.
Finally some supposed MD came and without even numbing spray dug into my hand and pulled out a piece of glass about a half by quarter inch. Then the lying Karen slapped a band aid on the cut. They forced me into putting on some stupid paper clothes because it was protocol all under the watchful eyes of the Karen nurse and a goon squad of Gestapo black shirts.
I was not allowed to use the bathroom for 7 hours because of my stupid shoot myself statement. In the corridor people were walking by me hacking and wheezing all the time I was there. The Karen forced me to take an ambulance home rather than an Uber when ended up costing me about $200 more than the Uber. Thanks Sturdy!

Now i hate doing these but this one I have to do because it was that bad: I recently moved where Sturdy is the closet ER to go and I had a horrible experience. I brought my 2 1/2 yr old son there for which I knew he had an ear infection to get antibiotics (it was after 11 pm on a sat so his PCP was closed) because he has them every yr a couple times a yr and they did nothing but give him a temperature check and pedialyte and sent us on our way.
They didnt even check to see if he had a ear infection after I asked them too. On top of that the registration employee that came to check us in was very rude and unprofessional. It was our first time ever at that hospital and she assumed we were on masshealth and that my son's father wasnt in his life because he wasnt there at the hospital because he was working.
Without asking what my insurance was she said "do you have your masshealth card." I looked at her and said "no I have my blue cross blue shield card from my employer." She said ok with a attitude. Then she asked whos the emergency contact I said can i put his grandfather (my dad) instead of his dad? she said oh he has a dad no we have to put his info and backtrack and put more of his info in like why did you assume my sons dad wasnt around?
Hospital security wasnt any better. May i mind you I work healthcare security and I would never in a million yrs be this rude or unprofessional. I said to security that was sitting at a post in the ED, excuse me sir can you please tell me where I can use the restroom? He didnt even look at me and said down there. I was like ok and ended up finding it on my own.
I took my son to Boston childrens the next day like i should have in the 1st place my fault and they did a full exam and he had a ear infection like i expected and gave us antibiotics. Now I know this hospital is not known for pediatrics but they still could have helped way better then they did for my son. Unless its a dying emergency for anyone in my family or me I will NOT be going back to sturdy hospital.
Ill take the ride and stick to my Boston hospitals or I hadnt tried providence hospitals yet. I think unless someone has a dying or life threatening situation going on do not go to sturdy and if you do once your stable transfer somewhere else immediately.

This emergency room is waste of time. Or at least the doctor stationed there is adept at eyeballing injuries apparently. In a serious accident and tboned on both sides. Sterring wheel to the face, wrist, lower back, neck and shoulder injuries. Wait 90 minutes for useless doctor Zachary harnett to walk in with a smug smile and look at me from 5 feet away, poke me a couple times and basically tells me to walk it off. Guess because I wasnt screaming like a little girl about the pain he thought he didnt need to test anything. Thanks for nothing doc.

I have been having mammograms for 30 years. Never have I experienced such pain. All the nurses and the technician were very nice BUT it was horrible. I couldn't believe what I looked like when I got home. Couldn't wear my bra for almost a week. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture but something was clearly wrong. I was red and swollen and bruised. I will never go back.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by my experience in the ED. I work in the healthcare field and rumors about Sturdy have always been terrible. My visit was after mid nite for work related injury. The staff were prompt and courteous. The ED was clean and appears to run efficiently. I would def recommend.

If I could give them a negative 100 stars I would. Stay away from this place if you have options to go elsewhere. Terrible hospital. They sent my mom home with migraine medication knowing she had 4 brain surgeries and prior strokes. Took her to Norwood hospital the next day and she in fact had another stroke. They are incompetent and rude. The nurses and doctors yell at my mother and treat her terrible when they know she has vascular dementia.
They have zero compassion for patients and don't do their jobs. I will never take her to Sturdy Hospital again. People should file complaints with the state against this place. I've heard so many terrible experiences people had endured here.

I was hesitant to go here but had a Wonderful experience and AMAZING care from my Nurse Bethany! They were prompt in getting me back, into a bed, seen by a doctor and pain and nausea meds on board. EVERYONE I came into contact with staff wise was amazing and very pleasant. The charge nurse even came in and Introduced herself incase I needed anything.
The doctor ( can't remember his name ) was extremely nice, thorough, genuinely concerned and I can't say enough about my healthcare team there tonight overall. Thank You To All Of You For Your Compassion!
