My mom has been here at St Francis Park for several days, the first night we had a problem with Dr. Lee in the ER and we made a complaint. That issue was taken care of asap. But I can say that the nurses that have been taken care of my mom has been great here on the 6th floor, expect 1, which is the charge nurse Ruth. This is the second time that we have been here at St Francis Park in the last 2 mo's and on this floor.
The nurses the first time was great as well, expect the charge nurse Ruth. The first time charge nurse Ruth with held my mother's meds which the doctors wasn't happy about. This time this same charge nurse Ruth try to with held here meds again, when I ask if the doctors said to stop this one med, Ruth said no that she was making that decision herself.
When I told her that she needs to speak with the doctors she told me that she will speak to them when she can, but she wasn't going to give my mother that med, I then told her that I will be filing a complaint with her supervisor and the doctors. I also told her that I am the patient daughter and caretaker. Nurse Ruth then said that she wasnt talking to me about my mother care, I inform her that she can't change or stop a medication with out a doctor's order, also told her that I will be calling the providers myself if she didnt give mom her meds as order by the doctors, she then gave mom her meds.
Due to that her supervisor is not on duty tonight I will file a formal complaint with her supervisor first thing in the morning and the providers as well. As long as my mother is in this hospital I don't want this nurse Ruth anywhere near my mother. We have no problems with the other nurses on this floor. This nurse just same to thank that she can with hold or change meds without a provider's order. This is unprofessional, plus she is rude.

Horrible experience, I got in at 9pm left at 1am they started helping others while I was sitting in pain the entire time, the nurse took forever to give me a update, she sat there and watched me struggle the whole time. The lady with the Black Hair at Checkout treated me poorly, I had the Flu they could have treated me.

If I could give this hospital a negative 1000 I would. Your loved ones can complain about symptoms and they will be ignored by the doctors and nurses of this "business". My auntie went to this hospital (4/21) just to receive inadequate and unethical services. She was not given proper care FROM St Francis and then later the same day she died at Baptist EAST.
I keep thinking if someone had just listened with empathy then she Would be here. I'm waiting on a patient advocate but this is a warning to you all! Black families. Your love ones will not receive adequate care here. They WILL NOT ASSIST IN KEEPING YOUR LOVE ONES ALIVE! if you hate your job then get out the medical field because your hurting more than you assisting

I came here this hospital around, or near a month or so, I am going for some treatment from radiation oncology and a white female and white male staffs seen to be racist to me, but I read some comments about this hospital make feel uncomfortable and kind of related their comments concerns, I'm a hard of hearing, it not that I can't hear them talking, just feel little uncomfortable with white staffs, as I'm a black man.
This female supposed to give me information before appointment someway she not clear to me, that when I felt uncomfortable be around them, I mean sometimes my guts try to tell me. I may want to transfer another hospital where I can be safe and comfortable.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The staff is rude and unprofessional especially Miss. Sabrina. I called to check on my son and before transferring me as I requested, I got to hear her speak bad about me to another coworker. They have little to no communication muchless return your calls. I would hear from my son regarding his discharge date never once from the hospital or staff. This place is a disgrace regarding mental health. If I could give negative stars I would

I was taken to st. Frances recently with a vascular occlusion the staff and hospital was easy to deal with however I would not recommend anyone with serious pain trying to get comfortable stay away they're to worried about there logic than listening to the patient there pain management really sucks I had to stay four days was almost comfortable for one will not recommend anyone for that reason and I'm an easy going guy that don't expect anything. But can't handle the seriousness of my diagnosis and the pain that comes with it

I just want to thank the staff of the 5 Thompson building, from the moment I walked through the door you could feel that the staff cared. Usually when you go to hospitals people are very short with you, they rarely speak, and they never smile. As soon as I walked through the doors I saw beautiful smiling faces. My mom had an out patient procedure that ended with an overnight stay, and I'm telling you she was treated so well.
It almost made us feel as if we were the only patients on that floor even though you could see clearly see the taking care of other patients. When explained what was going on so that you would understand, and they made sure to ask if you understood. The nurses were very attentive, funny, but most of all caring. We've never seen this type of care before, especially not from a hospital.
I think some people can agree when you say hospital you don't want to come at all. Now she keeps saying if I have to come back send me to 5 Thompson. Here are some special people with extremely pleasant attitudes and smiling faces; Jamila Walker, Mandy Mason, Violeta CNA, Aaron Smith, Mgr., Terry in outpatient therapy, Ms. Christine in outpatient, but most of all Dr. Daz and his team.
My mom feels so much better about coming to the hospital, and I feel the whole experience was handled with so much professionalism. I had the opportunity to watch the communication that Jamila and her team displayed with each other and I see why the shift ran so smoothly. They felt like a tight knit family, and for Aaron to stop what was doing to have a conversation with us was awesome. If I could give gold stars I would, but since I can't I just want to say thank you for caring for my mom the way you did.

This is NOT a good hospital. I have been in tears since my spouse has been here. I wish/hope/pray I could get him to another hospital and SOON! #ihateithere 1-24. My rating is still the same NOT a good hospital. They do not reach out to you, I believe the reply is a tactic they use for people reading the bad reviews to say they're concerned. NOT TRUE.MORE TEARS #ihateithere 1-26- I did recieved a call from the Supervisor over ICU and it helped to talk to someone in charge.
He apologized and said he was new to to this position, but he would work on the communication of the staff. I was upset because it was hard to get simple information. Today is a brand new day, I now know what is going with my spouse. I hope they keep this practice up! #feelingalittlebetter

If you have a loved one in this hospital please transfer them to another hospital because this hospital will kill them. First my aunt and now my precious friend. Had I known about her being their sooner I would have been able to get her out of there. I worked there and I know it's a death trap! This place should be Shut Down Now!

I went into this hospital for surgery and stayed a week. Given their history of contributing to and/or causing the deaths of my mother and grandmother, . the ONLY reason I agreed to have surgery here is because of the trust I had in my surgeon. This was almost a Death Wish for me. The day after surgery when the Occupational Therapist, "Margaret Ann" was attempting to get me out to walk, my blood pressure dropped dangerously low and even though I told her I was about to 'pass out' and could barely breathe, she intentionally kept taunting me to keep going until a passing doctor stopped her.
When I declined her services after the mistreatment, she even threatened me. Once back in my room the nurse checked my vitals finding that my blood pressure was at a very dangerous (low) level. Over the the next few days, I was left in urine soaked sheets and when I was able to go to the bathroom the nurse insisted on taking my vitals while I was on the toilet.
I was never given the opportunity to wash my hands and my room was only lightly cleaned one time the entire week. The bathroom, soaked in urine was NEVER cleaned. There is so much more but needless to say I was blessed to get out of there alive with rashes on my entire backside and legs. I filed a written complaint with the hospital CEO and the Risk Manager.
After not getting accountability or apology from either of them, a complaint was filed with Kepro, Medicare and my insurance carrier. After seeing all the other Negative Reviews that happened about the same time, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and speaking to an attorney because as terrible as this was there was definitely more to this story.
This place should not be in the business of providing medical care to human beings. If others don't want us to blame the staff because they are not treated well, then in my opinion, this is also the hospital management's fault and they should be held accountable. When you habitually mistreat people, Karma comes to life.
