Services
Flint Medical Laboratory can handle all anatomic pathology specimens and cytology materials. We specialize in skin biopsies, prostate biopsies, breast biopsies, and gynecological and gastrointestinal material. We also interpret fine needle aspiration biopsies. Some examples are provided below. Malignant melanoma is diagnosed by up-to-date criteria, with comprehensive and comprehensible reporting. We welcome biopsies from dermatology specialists, as well as from those involved in the primary care fields.
Nader Bassily, PhD, MD is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He completed a two year fellowship in urologic and prostate pathology at the University of Michigan. Weimin Liu, MD, PhD trained at Yale University, and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. In addition, he is fellowship-trained and board certified in the subspecialty of hematopathology.
Our laboratory is located in Flint, Michigan at 3490 Calkins Road, near the intersection with Beecher Road. We are conveniently located near I-75, US23 and I-69, facilitating our courier pickup and delivery service throughout the greater Flint area, including service to Lapeer and Shiawassee counties.
