From Dr. Tom Ritter's creation of the practice over 30 years ago, our mission has been to provide patients with excellent eye health and vision care in a caring and friendly environment. We continue to maintain a warm atmosphere in our offices and have always believed that our patients are to be treated like family.
At Ritter-Hagee Doctors Of Optometry, our doctors and our entire Cincinnati optometry team are committed to providing advanced vision care in a professional and comfortable environment. As an optometrist in Cincinnati, our primary eye care service includes a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function.
Our two offices are conveniently located for anyone living or working in the Greater Cincinnati area. The Blue Ash office is just minutes away from I-71, Ronald Reagan Highway, or I-275. It is less than one mile from Cincinnati Eye Institute as well. We are located behind Parker's Blue Ash Grill on the corner of Reed Hartman Highway and Cooper Road.
Originally from Lima, Ohio, received both her undergraduate and optometry degrees from The Ohio State University. He was born and raised in the Blue Ash and Montgomery area and attended Sycamore High School. Dr. Natalie McKee became the newest addition to our team of doctors when she joined the practice in July of 2013.

Called to make sure that they accepted my insurance before setting up a vision check-up. The lady who answered had a huge attitude and would not give me a straight response on my question. She acted like I didn't know how insurance worked and her condescending tone was very off-putting. Nobody calls an optometry place to get an unsolicited lecture on how insurance works, there are a ton of other places nearby don't come here.

I was referred to Ritter and Hagee by a current client of theirs. In the past, I was a loyal customer of a major eyeglass chain for over 40 years. I will only wear rimless eyeglasses and every year when I would visit this chain, their selection of rimless glasses kept getting smaller and smaller to the point that I would settle for a new pair of very expensive glasses.
The last time I went in recently to get a new pair of glasses their selection was almost non existent. Ritter and Hagee on the other hand, had a great selection of lightweight rimless glasses for me to choose from. The staff was extremely patient, courteous and very helpful coupled with very competitive pricing. I went in with some trepidation, but left with a great pair of glasses. Thank you Jay and the entire Ritter and Hagee team. My expectations were not only met, they were exceeded in every way!

I had been to several Eye Doctors before seeing Dr. Danny at Ritter & Hagee. Previously I was not given prescriptions that fit my needs. With Dr. Danny and his staff I had a complete and thorough exam and "finally" my glasses are perfect! I am so pleased with the service, the staff is so nice here, I highly recommend anyone looking for a good Eye Doctor to go to Ritter & Haggee.

Fantastic team from the front desk to the optometrists! Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They have all of the most cutting edge equipment and practices, and stock top of the line eye ware and contact lense options. I have been coming here for years regardless of where I have lived in the Cincinnati area. I highly recommend Ritter & Hagee for all of your vision care needs.

Dr Hagee is professional and thorough. He always takes time to ask how my vision is and listens to any issues I have and addresses them. My prescriptions for contacts and glasses have always been perfect. His staff is always friendly and very efficient. I highly recommend this group for your family's eye care.

The optometrists are fine. But be very careful to pay attention when they present you with the options as you pick out glasses. They will try to steer you towards more expensive options, and they will encourage you to make selections which may not be covered by your insurance. I feel I was ripped off at my recent visit. I will not return.

The doctor we saw was amazing she took her time and really made sure prescriptions were accurate. They were very patient with my anxious child who was upset with the entire eye doctor appointment. The doctor gave each child her entire attention and talked them through the appointment. One child needed glasses, another was boarder line, and the other didn't need glasses.
The doctors and assistants get 5 stars. We are off to try glasses and this is where everything goes downhill. Since this was our first time there we needed time to look around since my child has difficulty making decisions we needed space. The woman helping us was NOT personable AT ALL. She seemed either bored or disappointed in her job which is fine whatever. we finally settle on frames.
She comes up with a price of over $300! Uhm no, no way at all, my spouse's multi focal extra lightweight super lenses are under $200. There is no way these are over $300 not for simple lenses and frames. She keeps on insisting this is the price after much nagging she finally realizes that NO she has not applied our medical insurance or our vision insurance. Tells us the frames will be ready in a week if we have not heard from them to call.
I call to see if the glasses are in and of course they aren't. Why you may wonder because she "forgets" to order the frames. We finally get the glasses child wears them and of course within a few months breaks them so we have to use the warranty to replace them. the frames should be in within a week. I hear nothing of course because that might actually be good customer service.
I give 2 weeks because of the snow storms and hear nothing. I call and they are not sure about where the frames might be and will call me back. oookkkaayyyy. Yeah them they call and tell me that they did not put my child's name on the order so it got absorbed into their stock but the frames are in and we can come in anytime. Spouse takes the child in and the glasses are NOT the ones we had ordered they try to give him a completely different color. Are you kidding me. are you completely kidding me?!?!
So spouse looks to see if the ones we originally ordered are on the shelf they are not but a different color are and thankfully INSISTS they use the color closer to what was originally ordered. The fact that a lot of persuading had to be used to switch the frames and get the kid what was ordered is disheartening. The fact they didn't call to let me know that the original frames were discontinued and give us other options was disappointing.
The fact they charged us for such an unprofessional experience is rather expected because please let me give you $20 to not live up to expectations and be indifferent to your client's needs. Honestly I am so disappointed by this place we will never ever use them to buy glasses again.

Dr. Hagee & his team have taken care of my family's vision for over 20 years; 5 family members in glasses/contacts and 2 with Lasik. Outstanding providers!
