In fairness my mother did not get into see him. After the office switching her appointment 3 times in the week before, they settled on a time. Because of the prior switching, her health aide had to bring her rather early. 35 minutes or so. Well they would not let my very elderly, vaccinated and masked parents sit and wait. So they limped downstairs and waited for me to gather them.
My mother did not want an unkind man touching her after that. Furthermore when I tried to connect with them I arrived to the office 25 minutes before her allotted appointment time, one of the office ladies told me the nurse took them away and they were coming back at 1. This was indeed a falsitude. They were actually kicked out and told they could not be there. For shame. What a mean bunch!

I have talked with several doctors, but this call was different. We had a telecall with Dr. Zbar Ross to consult on a potential facial cosmetic surgery for a benign cyst removal. First impressions, he was extremely rude, didn't listen, and at one point told us for no particular reason when asked about scarring from the surgery that he didn't lie, when we didn't think a doctor would lie.
We wanted to know if there would be a scar, and that we'd like it to be minimal as this was a request for cosmetic surgery. My mother has had prior surgery where the scar is unnoticeable. Why I say it was different? He told us that there were much less fortunately with the pandemic, and basically told us that we wouldn't be able to handle the surgery requirements.
He even asked what country the patient is from for no reason. My mother has an accent. When she answered that she's lived her over 70 years, he didn't listen and cut her off. He was using terms like he didn't think she was capable for putting cream on her face without looking, consulting, or knowing her. He based it on her age on the form. I can't say if his surgery is good or not, I can say he's the rudest doctor. STAY AWAY. STAY AWAY.

Dr Zbar is incredible. I have been trying to have a cyst removed for almost two years that was on my temple. Two plastic surgeons later and two dermatologists later and one ENT. finally a doctor confident enough that he can take the cyst off with ease. I had the utmost confidence in him and that I would be taken care of in the best way. The staff is so easy to work with and surgery center at Chilton Memorial was amazing. I highly recommend Dr Zbar.

I was scheduled for neck surgery at Chilton Medical Center, The Hospital itself is clean and organized. The staff is friendly and Professional. They go above and beyond. I was blown away by their expertise. Dr. ZBar (who is awesome with a capital A) walked into the room and put my mind at ease instantly. I don't know if it was his friendly personality with me or how I could see his staff loved working with him, or the maybe it was the cool music playing in the room. : ) All I can say is my mind was at ease as I was ready to have my procedure.
He took a golfball sized tumor out of my neck. Now one month later, you can hardly tell there is a scar there. Communicated with me to see how I was doing and how I was healing. A true professional. As good of an experience that it could of been. Dr. ZBar and Chilton Medical Center I highly recommend! Thank you!

If you want horrible scars after your surgery go see Dr. Zbar. He did a terrible job with my breast reduction surgery in 2013. Until this day, my breast get numbed around the scars. He never gave me a size of where he was going to leave me at. He claimed he took out 2 lbs out of each breast but I still used the same size bra after the reduction, only somewhat of a difference.
He totally took out the drains in the hospital and left the wounds open claiming that they would close on their own. I was definitely butchered instead of treated by plastic surgeon that would try his best not to scar as much as he did. Also my breasts are not pointing where they should, if you know what I mean. I need to get another surgery, eventually for all the scarring and a true reduction. It took a lot for me to post this as I was traumatized and can't even look at myself in the mirror. Deserves 0 stars.

Long post but important to read. It has been a year since I had a back lipoma removed by Dr Zbar. I normally never write reviews, but even a year later looking at my scar makes me so angry. I didn't have a good feeling from Zbar since our first appointment, even though he came as a referral to me. He was condescending and talked down to me, and said he would like my parents to be involved. Excuse me?
I was 23, professionally employed and making this decision about my body on my own. The real problem came about 1 month after my surgery. I could tell the scar was not healing correctly and I called Zbar to tell him that it seemed open on one side and small amounts of blood were coming out. He was extremely nasty on the phone and told me that would be "extremely rare".
I had to insist that something was wrong and he passive aggressively agreed to have me in for an appointment. He complained that I was concerned about the scar even though I had not finished the after surgery care. At the appointment he apologized because my stitches in fact had broken and I needed to go back to the original after surgery care steps.
I told him I was disappointed that I could not get proper advice over the phone and that he made me feel like I was overreacting. I'm sure I would have come in for an appointment earlier had he taken me seriously, and also taken the right steps to care for my scar. Instead he told me to continue the normal treatment and this ultimately further delayed my healing. Now, my scar is much fatter on one side where the stitches had come out.
Extremely disappointing considering I went to a plastic surgeon to get the most minimal scarring. Zbars ego got in the way of his practice, and I'm sure I won't be the only one that happens to. He was also rude to my mom right before my surgery. She asked about scar care and he barked that he had already explained that to me. Don't underestimate the value of good bedside manners. I ignored it considering he was a referral and he had many awards and a good education. Big mistake!

I saw Dr Ross Zbar because of a skin cancer of my nose. He is an artist. He was great at explaining the disease and treatment. He reviewed everything that I could expect. His professionalism and expertise is obvious. He is well trained and has a ton of experience. The surgery went just as planned. My scar is barely noticeable. He is outstanding. I highly recommend him. His staff is really nice and supportive too. In today's world of rushed docs, he spends the needed time to make you comfortable.

I do appreciate not having to wait too long in the waiting room nor in the exam room. I was in and out in a short time. Dr. Zbar was kind, compassionate, and did not force treatment of any kind. He laid out my options ( on removing two moles on my face) and asked how I felt, and listened to all my concerns. I left feeling confident in him. After a week on considerably thinking it through I decided to go with Dr. Zbar out of all the plastic surgeons I had seen. Totaling three.
During the procedure he took his time and wow he is a perfectionist! He made sure it was perfect. And I as soooo very please with my results! No scaring whatsoever! I was so nervous especially it was my face he was working on. I would highly recommend this physician/surgeon and his amazing staff! A+++

I saw doctor Zbar for a consultation in Mid-July. He was very informative and asked me to get a CT scan so he could fully evaluate my situation. I went for the CT scan and made a follow up appointment with the Doctor. When I walked in for the follow up appointment to review my CT scan payment was demanded from me for the first appointment. I explained that I never received a statement and asked for a chance to review it against my EOB.
They told me no, payment was due then. In addition, I was never informed that payment of the consultation fee was due in full before being able to see the doctor for the follow up. It would be completely fair if they had articulated their payment policy however they did not at any time inform me of what I owed or when payment was due. I explained I didn't believe that it was fair to demand full payment given I didn't have a chance to review the documents.
They made me wait 45 minutes past my appointment time and took other patients before saying if I didn't pay I wouldn't see the doctor. I had no issue with paying but wanted the opportunity to review the paperwork. I was not seen by the doctor and left after wasting time there. Margaret and Rosie the office staff were accusatory and made me feel like a criminal including saying that "I know your type." While the doctor may be skilled his office staff and policies are inflexible, unclear, rude and lacking common courtesy.

I was referred to Dr. Zbar by my general physician who stated he left him with almost an invisible scar. I had a mass in my right wrist which needed to be surgically removed. Dr. Zbar was very straight forward at my initial appointment which is what I like because I don't need a super friendly doctor who likes to small talk. However, the day of the surgery he was not willing to answer my questions, had terrible bed side manner, and did not double check with me prior to my release. He also left me with the ugliest scar. I would not recommend this doctor and that is why I saw a different doctor for my breast reduction.

Several years ago he removed a mass in my wrist, his bed side manner was terrible, and I have the ugliest scar. For a plastic surgeon I thought he would have given me a nice sutra but he didn't. Highly disappointed. He only gets two stars because his office was pretty nice and he completed the surgery on the date I requested.
