Bad experience with the visit on 1/17/2022. The waiting time was almost 2 hour but it didn't worth the wait. The doctor was rough with her eye exam.it felt like she dug her nails in my eyelids to keep my eyes opened, it hurts! And she kept saying 'keep your eyes opened Madm'. That is totally unacceptable! As a Labor and Delivery nurse for 37 years, I never called my patient 'Madm'.
I never raised my voice during uncomfortable vaginal exams. She told me my problem is due to aging but see her in a month. I would never go back to her! This review doesn't reflect other doctors in the practice.

Dr Hahn was excellent, confident and knowledgeable. His assistant was kind, matter of fact and very understanding on why I was involuntarily cringing (and being annoying) each time anyone would put anything in my eye. I wish I can remember her name. Jim, who took pictures of my eyes was patient and made sure to sanitize the machine before using it on me.
The nurse(?) who first assessed me was professional. Everyone in the office seemed nice. The waiting area needed a bit dusting and wiping up but it wasn't crowded. Wait was acceptable, about 15 mins. The paperwork was a bit redundant. I filled out the same forms and questionnaires, HIPAA, insurance and emergency contact etc that the online system asked me to do prior. Other than that I think patient care is excellent.

The doctors here are just outstanding! They have saved me and my eyes many times over from serious damage. The one issue I have is the wait time that they are honest about in posting a sign of 2-2.5 hours wait time so advice is to know this before so you are not frustrated. Also the waiting room yesterday was packed and in these Covid times (still) not good - they do have chairs in the hallway but wish they could control their flow and peak times better. But for these doctors and their lovely staff of professionals the wait is well worth it! So medically a 10+++++ but operationally they should look at their process.

While we have been satisfied with the medical procedures we have a serious problem with the office procedures. We have been receiving as many as five calls per day ( 10 to 15 calls in a week) prompting us to make an appointment. In many cases, when I answer I am told it is a call from NJ Retina and there is no message. It really borders on harassment.

Probably the best eye clinic I've ever been to. It's spacious inside in the lobby and even more spacious once past the hallway - never seen so many examination rooms in an eye doctor office before. That's because this seems to be a co-op of many ophthalmologists. Lobby has proper social distancing protocol along with temperature checks and front staff were courteous and professional.
After feeling out the forms and waiting for a good 10-15 minutes in total, a check-in staff brought me into a room and she did basic tests and asked me questions - though I wished they simply looked at the patient chart I had just filled out because the questions were pretty much identical. When Dr. Paul Hahn saw me after yet another assistant brought me into another examination room and asked me some questions, he was efficient and went on diagnosing my eyes for a good while- like 15 minutes, after waiting for a bit for my pupils to dilate.
I had several questions which he answered patiently all at once at the end of the examination. He asked me to return in a month to check the condition. It felt like over an hour but when done I just walked out and noticed it had been exactly one hour including the wait in the beginning. Overall, it was a pleasant and helpful visit- one I won't mind returning to and recommending to others. I just hope they can streamline their check in processes 15-20% so they would be more efficient.
