Fit-N-Wise Bariatric Solutions I started struggling with PCOS symptoms at the age of 24, gaining 90lbs by the time I turned 28. Being a teenager, everyone just assumes you overeat and have no discipline and that your family is irresponsible. None of this was true. I was an athlete and all of the running, jumping and pouncing that sports entail was doing major damage to my hips, knees, and feet. I have so much more energy and enjoy hanging out with friends. They have this entire process so well planned and running smoothly - with their patients in mind!

Staff not pleasant at all when you called it's like you're bothering them. I took an important test and the results came back but instead of them calling me to Explain the results they emailed me instead, The only reason I'll Continue to deal with them because Dr. Islam is nice and very professional

I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Heath Smith and his team at My Bariatric Solutions! They are a highly skilled medical staff with the utmost professionalism. They treat every patient with compassion and grace. Patients are given all the support and educational materials needed to be successful before and after surgery. You will not find another bariatric team that provides full-service care.

Their team makes the entire process easy. They provide education and nutritional support from day one and throughout your weight loss journey. They are the BEST! #mybariatricsolutions #gastricsleeve #gastricbypass

Best decision I've made. The one regret I have is not having surgery earlier. Everyone at the Fort Worth location is very nice and responsive to my almost daily emails. Everyone at Wise County Hospital was excellent and caring.

The entire staff at My Bariatric was very nice and helpful. Was due to have gastric sleeve in mid April 2020 but due to COVID-19 it was rescheduled for 5/5/20. After surgery I received calls and emails from staff checking on me I even got a card from WISE hospital checking in on me.

I just requested to be contacted to get some information about the process and financing options Someone contacted me by the name of Gabrielle, she was so slow responding to my questions and pausing like she was busy with something else and getting irritated by me asking about the hospital name and if I would be admitted a day before After asking her 3 times about the process and not getting a full answer I gave up and was like you know what I don't want this done and hanged up! I defiantly will not want to have my surgery done at a place where I will be treated like that!

MBS has changed my life! I had VSG on 11-13-2020. I am down 45 lbs and my knees/back are already feeling better. They fixed my hiatal hernia and I haven't had reflux at all. Dr Islam has the best bed side manner and she actually cares for her pts. The whole office has been so helpful and caring. They never once made me feel uncomfortable or ignorant of what was going on. Tha k you MBS for changing my life!

Staff over the phone was nice. Unfortunately, I didn't even make it to my consultation because, you guessed it, insurance and money. Hospitals and clinics alike always tout that they care for patients. At the end of the day, it all come down to profits and reviews, no patient welfare. I will admit, I appreciate them calling me to let me know ahead of time instead of wasting my drive to go up there.

But where are the days where, "This patient can't afford it, but needs it? We have to do something here." I am in a weird spot in my life. My diet isn't obese in nature as some folks would expect. When being a gym rat, I would plateau out at 20-30 lbs lost and my body would stop. I had a knee surgery but because of my weight, cannot exercise and put my that kind of stress on my knees without doing more damage.

Point is, because of money, I am not able to move forward. My kids, my wife, and myself were becoming increasingly excited that I might finally be able to get this surgery done (as my wife has a coworker who had had this procedure done and it was a total transformation for that person). It is sad that I cannot have this happen because of money. This is not me trying to give the clinic a bad rap or anything like that. Im just stuck in a spot where I need help and there is no help to be found.

I sure hope our medical system changes for the better. Because at the end of the day, it's all about money when it should be about the patient. Should something change, I will update my review as well. Thank you.

I do have some of the concerns as a previous person posted. I have recently gone through something similar, like being told I could have been diagnosed with cancer from a imaging test. I called back right after getting the call spoke to the nurse (i think). She stated I needed to have CT due to a mass found, I was frantic, I asked her to make the appointment for me (apt same day), she called back.

I went to the office in Keller again for CT, first thing I was hit with was a charge of over $600. I was upset to say the least because I did not know I would have to pay this up front, and felt she could have given me different options, delivery was very poor by the person who called me. When I heard cancer everything else was a blur, my co-workers had to comfort me becuz I was rattled that much.

I felt taken advantage of I spent money I did not have, but I needed to find out what was going on (she could have said check with you insurance or something). When I spoke to her after the testing and advise her of the financial hardship, it was like it did not matter, " I do not handle that", was her reply. Then the sleep apnea machine is another situation, I was told I would have to pay around $140 a couple weeks ago (was fine with that), today they call now I have to pay over $500.

This was unacceptable to say the least! I only came to this place because someone at work advised, I should have considered other facilities before making my decision. also, I was told I had to have the sleep test and a $500 deductible I would have to pay, then I called my insurance and they worked things out, I did not have to pay the $500. I should have composed myself better when she said I had to do the CT test "STAT".

I have put alot into this, and feeling disappointed and I have not had the surgery yet. I am going to check on some things before I spend anymore money on things and see about getting some other things looked into as well. Hopefully, this last go round will be the last thing and I can regain confidence in my choice for selecting this facility. I can say the young men who conducted the sleep test were excellent, they were information, kind, patient, very professional, knew their jobs, answered any question, and concerns. They were FABULOUS! I will rate a 2 star for now and update later on.

Not impressed, I think this office is just looking for the easy money. I don't think they really care about helping people. I understand that you cant help everyone but the least you could do is show some compassion, and leave no stone unturned so the patient feels like you did everything possible. My experience with this office is that since I did not fit into the easy money box, and could not afford the deductible they did not have time to talk to me.

I have hit my deductible for the year, and if the surgery was completed this year it would only cost 2k out of my pocket. But since people at this office assumed my insurance required 6 months of doctor monitored dieting, and could not be completed till next year it would cost 7k out of my pocket. When I told the doctor if I could not get it done this year I would not be able to afford it she just kind of shrugged and said "Well!. then what are we going to do here!".

Then the finical advisor attitude was that of (if you cant afford it then get out of my office). this is not what she said but its how she acted. she really didn't offer any other solutions or compassion. Currently I am working with another office that has verified my insurance does not require a doctor sign off on a diet for 6 months.
