My family and I were brought in by ambulance after a car accident. My brother was transferred out because of his severe injuries but my mother and I stayed here. The ER doctor didn't offer my mom the option of surgery after finding that her arm was broken, after being discharged and seeing a specialist elsewhere, they are saying it might be too late for surgery so my mom will have to play the long game and hope that everything heals well.
This same doctor also came in to assess me. I told him how I was feeling and he ordered blood work and a ct, along with this I told him I hit my head and it felt like there was a bump. He didn't do anything about this or even look at my head until I told a nurse that my head was bleeding. She looked at it and told me I needed staples to close the cut and stop the bleeding.
I waited 2 more hours for him to come in and do that. We loved our nurses here, they were attentive and charismatic. They treated us very well and we are grateful for that. The doctors on the other hand didn't seem to want to treat us. My mom saw multiple doctors during her 3 days here and all they talked about was discharge. Even only hours after our accident when she couldn't get out of bed. We were happy to leave because it didn't seem like we were very welcome.

My husband had gallbladder Cholelithiasis surgery yesterday. I would say ER dept needs more improvement they take too long to see the patient. When my husband moved to second floor. They really took care of him. Both Nurse brook and Rolando were very professional. Dr Chiu explained the procedure very well. Dr Ruth Rassel and dr Hussain did the procedure. Very satisfied. Attending physician dr Anagor has no role.

My mother had a pre scheduled procedure at Northbay. From the moment we walked in, staff asked if my mom would be better suited with a wheelchair, when they saw her walking in with her walker. A nurse came with a wheelchair, folded up the walker, and pushed her to her destination. I was allowed to accompany her, which I appreciated, because my mom has dementia.
They offered me the option to get her into her gown, as a familiar person, or they would assist. I appreciate having the option. Nurse Liz was very transparent, and explained everything she was doing, and explained the procedure to my mom in a way that was easy for her to understand. Everyone seemed so patient with my mom on this visit. Sometimes due to my moms dementia, she is ignored, but I appreciate when she is acknowledge and I'm sure she does too.

This is a horrible place. I was in a car accident in 2019. I've come to the hospital 8 times now to try to pay the bill. There refusing to accept the payment and there trying to charge me almost $15K more than the bill. All they did in the emergency room was 3 X Rays. Now I'm stuck taking them to court and suing them for damages.

This is for the ER department which I spent most of my weekend lol I just wanted to say this place has been nothing short of amazing. The nurses, the doctors, and the entire staff make you feel welcome. They're very attentive even when there's hundreds of things going on. I am not sure about the other comments about people who have a new partnership health plan. but that's my provider and they have been nothing but kind and I had no issues. I LOVE Dr. London! She is a godsend!

My review is regarding the labor and delivery unit and as well as the mother and newborn unit. Overall experience was good. The room we were in was clean and presentable. They have a pull out bed for a plus one guest. Adequate equipment although very outdated. You will have a mix of very attentive nurses and as well as some that seem like they don't like dealing with patients.
I won't say any names but one particular nurse working the evening shift in labor and delivery was very cocky and made both my partner and I uncomfortable during her shift. Also, my partner had pressed the call light button to receive help with care and someone picked up and said they'd send someone in within a few minutes. 15 minutes came then an hour passed and still no one to attend to my partner's needs.
I want to personally thank Dr Blair. He was very kind, informative, and made sure we had everything we needed. The nurse who was assigned to us and helped deliver our baby during the AM shift was attentive, helped with her pain contractions, and consistently checked in every other hour. All the nurses and CNA's in the mother and baby unit were AWESOME! Norma the CNA was very gentle with our newborn. Overall made us feel welcomed in that unit.

Having a baby during Covid is already a little scary, but having a baby ready to be born in minutes with no doctor around is even scarier. Nurses are really nice and helpful, but when you have no doctor around and you see your wife in pain and you can't do anything it's sad and painful to watch yourself. Even though it's "slow" the hospital should be well staffed at all time.

I'm not a patient of this hospital. Today I was a visitor. Isn't anyone concerned about the collection of personal information at the security check-in? To get a pass, you have to enter a full name, email, address and snap a photo. The guard spends all his time teaching ppl how to use the self service device. It would be faster if the guard simply asks for a driver license and punches it in himself.
What you going to do with our personal info? During the Covid-19 pandemic, I've been to nearly every hospital in the SF Bay Area. Only 2 other hospitals collect info. Mills Peninsula and Marin General. Everywhere else just waves them thru. The reason given is- if there's an outbreak, they will know who entered the facility at any given time.
And they can contact people. BTW, let me point out something: The temperature screener doesn't tell people to use the sanitizer as they come in. Then people touch the data entry screens at the check-in. If anyone is actually sick, you're spreading it at the security checkpoint.

Decent staff but this place is a total scam! The nurse that released me I specifically asked him "do I I owe them any money?" and he said "no your insurance covered it." I said "okay great so I won't get a bill in the mail?" and he said "no". They tried charging me $10,000 6 MONTHS AFTER MY VISIT! For a sprained wrist! all I got was a X-ray and splint that's it.
They even tried filing a false work mans comp case and wanted even more money! My insurance ended up settling it. Who ever is in their billing department they are trying to scam and file false fraudulent claims. Victimizing innocent people who are just trying to seek decent medical assistance. Come on $10K for a sprained wrist you got to be kidding?
I would never step foot in that place again. I don't recommend any one else seeks any medical assistance here. Unless you want to rack up a huge amount of debt. I couldn't even imagine if I didn't have insurance. I would have been totally screwed!

So many times I see reviews of folks who were unhappy. I thought it was important that I write this one. NorthBay wasn't my choice. The ambulance medic, who was great also, said it's where he would take his family. He was right. In the midst of this pandemic I can say I was very worried and of course had to go alone. The ER was amazing. I then had to stay over two nights and everyone, absolutely everyone was professional and kind. It's just so rare that you can't find a thing wrong and it couldn't have been at a more important time for me. Thanks to everyone that took such good care of me. No big deal, I just might owe you my life.

Ive had pseudo tumor cerebri for most of my life and is something ive learned to live with. I came to town to visit family and started to feel incredibly ill so i went to the nearest ER. I was placed in a dark room upon entrance due to light sensitivity and kept in dark quiet rooms the whole night. I had a Lumbar Puncture done in the ER, im petrified of getting a LP done because of past experiences but it felt so much better here than it did under an xray. Nurses and doctors were incredibly supportive despite the amount of work they had and wernt pushing me out of the room or forcing anything onto me. They told me to expect a headache afterwards and gave me lots of at home care instructions to get better soon.

Just created an anonymous profile on here to keep my dad's info somewhat private and write a review that is long overdue, but what better time than National Nurse's Day to write my review right?! I just want to first start by thanking all those involved in the care of my father, in early January, before all this Covid pandemonium started.
He unfortunately had a stroke and suffered much of the loss of motor function to the right side of his body. As you can imagine, this took quite a toll on my dad and our family. As we went in to see my dad everyday to be there for support, there was one nurse in particular that I wanted to send a very special shout out to. His name his Aaron and he works on the recovery unit next to the MRI building.
Although we encountered a number of amazing staff members, Aaron sticks out to myself and my family for our own reasons. I know we were not always easy to deal with during that frustrating time, and Aaron was always composed, empathetic, never left us in the dark, and always made us feel like our time was extremely valuable to him. But ultimately, the reason I chose to recognize him on National Nurse's Day, is for what he did after my dad was discharged from NorthBay to a rehab center in Napa.
On that day, he told my dad he'd try to visit him and check on his progress if that was okay. Lo and behold, two days later, on a Saturday, there was Aaron to the surprise of us all. He took time from his day off to visit my dad and offer words of encouragement. Aaron ended up spending the entire day with my dad and our family until visiting hours were over.
Oh gosh! I'm crying now, so let me wrap this up. Aaron, if you get to read this, I just want to say how incredibly grateful we are to you for being the nurse that you are, but more so, for just being the kind-hearted human being that you are, which isn't always easy to find these days. Your mom raised an amazing young man, and never change k. Happy National Nurse's Day. With love, from our family to yours, Amy

After an three hour wait in the ER to be seen, staff (nurses and MD) seemed disinterested, forgetful and rushed. I'm pretty sure our nurse violated HIPPA laws by leaving her chart open with every patients DX. No privacy given for who I'm with. Maybe a busy day perhaps? Definitely feels like the section 8 of an emergency room. The drive to Vacaville to go to Vaca Valley ER is way worth it. Vaca Valley is amazing so if you do not mind a 15 minute drive from Fairfield I beg you to go there. They are pretty awesome. What I will say that's positive about northbay is that the environmental services department (housekeeping) is pretty nice.

Went to this hospital for the first time today, as we just moved to the area. I was having chest pains. I waited in the waiting room for 7 hours. They took my vitals 3 times and took blood twice. Because my vitals were normal, the pain I was having in my chest wasn't sufficient enough to be seen by a doctor. Colds and coughs took priority. I completely appreciate people are sick and need to see the doctor.
But 7 hours of chest pains. Just before I finally walked out, some nurse said she was getting ready to call me back. Yet i still waited another 30 min and was still not being put in a room. John Muir is by far a much better facility. I will drive to concord tomorrow morning to receive adequate care. Very disappointed.

VERY UPSET with a CNA named German (pronounced Herman). He was assigned to my dad's room today. My dad underwent a 5-Coronary Artery Bypass surgery last week. He went back into surgery the next day because blood clots had developed in his lungs. I am greatful to the cardiology team that worked hard and checked on my dad continuously. Yesterday they moved my dad out of ICU and downtstairs on the mainfloor to recover.
The RNs specifically told us dad would get really good care where he was moved because the RNs there had help from the CNAs to clean the patients. On his first day there today, my dad asked if he can take a bath. German threw some cleaning supplies at my dad and left. My dad pressed the call button again. German came back and asked what does he want now?
My dad asked him what is he supposed to do with this. GERMAN said, clean yourself. What, are you an INVALID? My dad yelled at him to get out. My dad can not even get up on his own to pee, or get up in bed from his surgery. How can he clean himself? And how dare you call my dad an invalid after getting out of such a procedure. What the hell kind of CNAs are they hiring over there that they treat patients like that? GERMAN SHOULD BE FIRED FOR THAT! WHAT A WASTE OF HIS SCHOOLING. HE IS MILKING THE HOSPITALS TIME NOT WANTING TO DO THE WORK HE WAS HIRED TO DO. I hope to God the hospital takes this post seriously.

Since arriving here with family the care team has been amazing. Eugene RN- Thank you! Amanda ( Graduating)- Thank you! Aja- Thank you! I am simply impressed with the staff we had care for our family. They listen to your concerns and appreciate feedback, especially the positive testimony. Oh by the way, I am told, " if your family member's sharing a room with the same sex, it is advised if you want to stay the night, it should be of the same sex." Great Care here! Thanks!
