Gilford---Very nice place, friendly staff, waited less than 20 minutes and on a busy day. When my glasses came in, they adjusted them to my face perfectly!

I've been coming to Laconia Eye for a few years and have always experienced attentive receptionists, kind and competent assistants, and highly professionally eye doctors. My appointments have been on time and I have experienced nothing but top care at this center.

I just called to double check to see what time I was supposed to be there. And because I missed my appointment that was scheduled in February not in March i.can no longer be rescheduled. It's not like I miss the appointment on purpose. I really thought it was for March. Now I have no eye doctor. After 9 years of never missing an appointment.

I paid over $800 for a pair of glasses there. I was supposed to get them in 7-10 days. After 2 screw-ups either by the optician Maureen or the lab I finally got them almost a month later. When I checked the prescription that should have had ALL of my info on it I saw that the PD (pupillary disance) number wasn't on there. I called to get it and optician, Maureen, said they don't give that out because of "policy".

After messing up twice and making me wait so long the least she could have done is give me that number. All she did is make sure I never purchase anything there again. One star for lousy customer service.

I went here for the first time yesterday. A neighbor, who's an ER doctor, goes here for her eye care. I saw Dr. Feller and was extremely happy with his conservative approach to my mild cataracts. He's super relaxed and made me feel comfortable. I've found a new eye doctor and that gives me great peace of mind.

Wait times are ridiculous, expect to sit there for at least 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time to even see an assistant. Front desk is unfriendly and unwelcoming. Apart from poor managerial skills, the doctors seem unskilled. My lasik was done poorly and one eye didn't heal correctly. They couldn't figure out why, so they sent me to Boston.

They continue to be astonished when I tell them my eyes aren't working correctly. You would have a better time going elsewhere instead of wasting your time at such a lackluster facility.

I am so grateful someone referred me to this place. I have never had such thorough service, with such knowledgeable staff. I've worn glasses almost my whole 32 years, so I've been to my fair share of optometrists. The staff in my experience has always been nice and cheerful. Would totally recommend.

I did not want to even give 1 star. This would have been my first appointment and I drove over an hour to get there. Then waited for 45 minutes beyond my appointment time and finally I asked what was going on. The lady said they would be calling me soon. But that there were 2 people ahead of me. Like what the actual hell. I was scheduled for 10:30 and arrived at 10:15. After 30 minutes beyond my appointment and there are still 2 ahead if me. They need a new booking system. I left without being seen. Will find another doctor.

One star is too generous for this office. Brought my 9 year old son for an eye exam yesterday. He has autism and is mostly non verbal. He has lots of experience at doctors visits, has had two surgeries and even sits for dental cleanings like a champ. He is well behaved and calm and does great at visits. I did let the office know on three occasions what his condition was and never once was it questioned or made to be a possible issue. Dr. Savard refused to give my son an eye exam and told me how he does not want their office even taking on children under age 12.

He then began to explain to me like I was a child what an eye exam is. His demeanor with my son was standoffish from the beginning and he acted as if he already knew my son wouldn't sit for the exam so why bother. His frustration and poor bed side manner was immediately picked up on by my son. I could tell my son was very uncomfortable, and so was I.

He didn't even attempt to give the exam and instead walked us out to a receptionist and said that we need to go see a specialist who is better equipped to handle my son. That is a lie! Dr. Savard was the reason the exam did not take place, not my son. He didn't even take the time to say hello or get to know my son before dismissing him. Not the first time we have been discriminated against.

Then to make matters worse the woman who was supposed to check us out was so rude that I walked out of the office. Please parents beware of this place and bring your kids somewhere else. I noticed their reviews aren't stellar, wish I saw that first.
