Rushed into spear to take my roommate with a nut allergy, we are rushing in and the doors are locked, this one lady sees us walks away and grabs us masks instead of rushing over to help. She was on the phone with her mom, so she could hear everything going on, and the doctor was very rude telling her to put it down when she wasn't even talking to her yet. Instead of checking her out first tvs asked her 15 minutes worth of questions. If u want something done do it yourself

Had a sternum rub by an ER doctor, not exactly on my sternum, rather on my upper chest and left with pretty nasty big bruising and pain 3 days later. Had lots of sternum rubs and usually left with little to no bruising or pain. They seemed to want to intubate me and send me off just so they didn't have to deal with me. However, they did end up admitting me to their ICU.
They gave me boatloads of fluids that I didn't need. And would not let me get out of bed by myself. So when I needed to pee every 15 minutes, I was supposed to call for them. They typically took a good 5 minutes to arrive (remember this is ICU level care) and when they came they were irritable that I was calling. Sometimes when I'd ask them for something, they would forget snd just not come back.
My first night there, they couldn't give me my night meds until nearly 4 AM, because none of them could figure out the "new computer system" and then they just blatantly forgot for an hour or two. Their food serving sizes is also that of maybe a toddler meal.

Best ER around! From the moment I arrived, until I walked out the door, I was treated with the most caring professional team! The ER nurses are amazing! The teamwork was wonderful! Dr. Andrew Seefeld, the ER Doctor, is one incredible man. While I was there, he had a full ER and never left anyone waiting for a long period of time. People don't realize, how many hats an ER doctor has.
Just while I was there, he was an orthopedic doctor, on top of every other doctor you can think of! There were many patients with injuries from falling on the ice. I was the only one there with a different issue. He helped me, when my own doctor didn't listen to me. I am totally impressed with the way, Dr. Seefeld ran his ER, along with an awesome team! Thank you all so much!

Don't go here for a Covid test. Especially if it's for a child. Came out completely rude, didn't even say hi to my daughter( 2 years old) and was very aggressive shoving the swab up her nose and going very far in. I asked her why she needed to be so aggressive and she replied " just doing my job". My daughter was balling her eyes out. Do not recommend. Plymouth pediatrics however is very gentle with littles for Covid test and will also let you do it.

I felt compelled to write a review of my experience after reading so many horrendous reviews from others. I'll admit I was a bit worried after reading those, but thankfully my experience here at Speare was excellent. I didn't wait long, had courteous and attentive care, and was asked by multiple staff if I had any more questions they could answer about my treatment. 5 stars from me!

What a cluster of errors! I have no confidence in this place! Due to MULTIPLE errors, incompetent staff, lack of follow-up, and inaccuracies from nurses, surgeon, support staff.my procedure did not get done. The hospital Dir. finally called me (4pm Dec. 23rd) after I told a supervising nurse that I was not going to waste my time completing another of their surveys (her suggestion) because no one responded to my first one that provided ALL details AND my name & # months prior.
Since I was headed into another appt. when the Dir. called me he said he would call me the following week. It's now 3 weeks later, and 'crickets.' I understand they are overworked, & short-staffed, but when a simple standard process can't be managed, that's concerning, not to mention the Dir. himself not doing what he said he would. (Perhaps he is the crux of the dropped balls occurring at Spear Memorial?)

First: i had an appointment and waited for over 30 minutes after my appointment time and when i went to check they told me "they didn't notice i was there so didn't call me"? how is that even proper hospital protocol? second: my friend went in yesterday because she had a car accident through emergency and didn't give her meds at all? and after they told her she had a bad concussion just let her walk out? not even ask if she had anyone to take her?
I just dislike the attention of this hospital towards its patients. also some of the nurses are just rude for no reason, if u don't have patience don't work at a hospital. retire.

The most caring and professional staff I've meant while having my last operation. Had the same surgery at another hospital and had pain for Months. This hospital had minimal pain. And had cherry nurses. At the other hospital u had to wait til they were good and ready and nurses hanging around nurses stations as u had diarrhea. Spears I'd give them a 10 star if I could.

I go to the Speare Oncology Infusion Center every week for my infusion. The entire team of nurses are simply the best. They are always cheerful, patient, and understanding. They love their work and approach each patient like a family member. Being a palliative care patient is a lot of work and it makes life so much easier and pleasant when you trust your nursing team. Everyone here make my infusion day fly by. I can't recommend the entire team highly enough. Thanks everybody!

This hospital continues to bill me for services I did not receive. Despite having produced evidence supporting my claim, the financial dept. has turned over my account to a collection agency who in turn has reported an unpaid balance that now appears on my credit report. I have offered to pay a significant portion of the disputed amount just to clear it up, but, the hospital's patient accounting dept. has been unresponsive. I find Speare Memorial's callouss attitude towards patients unprofessional and disturbing.
