Very unprofessional! I was prescribed a medication by Dr. Mackey for something totally unrelated to what I went in for. I noticed this after I paid for the prescription at CVS. I immediately called Dr. Mackey's office and explained the issue. They took my info and told me they would have Dr. Mackey or his nurse to give me a call back. I never received a call back.

This visit was a waste of time and money. And let me add that during this visit none of the staff or Dr. Mackey wore a mask. And when Dr. Mackey examined my skin, he didn't wear gloves.

Very nice Physician. However, all meds he has given does not work I currently have folliculitis in facial area and scalp and nothing works that he has given. Waste of money for me

The doctor and staff were not masked! When I went to my appointment in December 2020, during one of the peaks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the nurses, medical staff, and Dr. Mackey did not have masks on. At this time, our state was under a mask mandate. There is also signage throughout Jackson Hospital stating that masks are required. I saw other doctors and nurses with masks on throughout the hospitals campus. This is inexcusable and grossly negligent. Please take care of yourselves. Protect yourself, your family, and the ones you love. Wear a mask.

Visited Dr Mackey and his staff today as a new patient. Outstanding experience! Dr Mackey and his staff were absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this dermatologist to anyone.

I went in back in April and um even though the staff and doc were friendly. I didn't like the way he rushes in and doesn't take the time to hear out his patients concerns. Didnt do no blood work or biopsy just gave me meds and thats about it. Went in to a different dermatologist and they actually heard me took blood and a biopsy to find out exactly what I have and not just a guess!

I'm extremely upset- used to be a great dr/dermatologist to use- but this last visit has shown true colors. When visiting I was informed I had to pay out because my deductible had not been reached. Ended up paying almost 400$ for services (over half of which a relative had to use a credit card over the phone to pay so I could be seen/treated). Now I am being harassed and being threatened to be sent to creditors and told I owe approx 140$ more. seriously?!

I was very dissatisfied with the service I received. I waited over an hour in the waiting room. I finally made it to the back and the doctor was in the room for less than 5 minutes. He coughs in both of his hands and proceeded to shake mine. VERY UNSANITARY! After that I was DONE! It was a total waste of time. I won't be going back!

Not happy with the service I've had a pervious biopsy done by another dermatologist which no longer accepts my insurance my doctor referred me to this doctor. Walk in ask why I'm here! Really! Have you not review the notes from my doctor. Basically brushed off everything my doctor is concerned about in less than 2 minutes. Will not go back asking my doctor to refer me to Birmingham.

Worst Dr ever and his staff is rude and unorganized. His office closed due to weather and i was called by someone from the office who gave me the wrong medical information and then stated that they should not have been giving me information cause she was not the nurse. If the doctor gives you a phone number in the exam room dont think its a number you can reach him after hours cause its not. Try the number and see. His office never gets back with you after hours. Montgomery has better doctors so look elsewhere.

I didn't like the way he just waved my sons eczema off. Talking about his kids have the same thing. He did give me his cell number and was nice. But I drove 2 hours just to see him and he acted like there wasn't a problem with my sons skin when he couldn't sleep from his skin itching. I won't be going back
