Our diverse and talented team members speak 28 different languages, and at least 40 staff are trained medical interpreters.
Lowell Community Health Center was founded in 1970 to make sure that everyone in Greater Lowell has access to quality and culturally responsive health care. Your gift will help us continue to honor the values of health equity and inclusion that inspired the Health Center movement more than five decades ago.
You will find that all of our providers at Lowell Community Health Center are highly trained and Board Certified. Many are multi-lingual. When you become a patient, you can trust that you will receive exactly the care you need, with medical interpretation provided to anyone who needs it. As part of your care team, we have many helpful nurses, medical assistants, and others on staff to assure you receive the best possible care.
The Health Center has served the communities of Greater Lowell since 1970. In addition to providing comprehensive primary health care, dental services, and eye care, we also offer many specialty services. No one is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Health Center patients may choose a primary care physician, nurse practitioner, or certified nurse midwife from our team of board-certified medical providers. We integrate behavioral health services within primary care, and patients can schedule visits with our certified mental health professionals.

1 star only because it is a community center! Customer service is the worst, I was very nice and patient with them but they were talking to me as if I was stupid. Tried to make an appointment and was very adamant about the time I am available and tells me they could accommodate, went in for the appointment and was told I did not have an appointment!

If you care about your well being or child's well being, I do not recommend this place. It seems as staff are not well trained and they are only there for the pay! If you work at a community center and are only there for the pay don't work at a community center! PLEASE DO BETTER FOR THE COMMUNITY!

This place is the literally the worst office I Have ever been to. My surgery got canceled because they're dental department will not answer the phone will not call back and keeps sending the wrong referral. If I have a nap practice case can someone let me know? I have had multiple infections and extra bone loss in my mouth because of such a long delay in my surgery because of meds ups by this place

Worst clinic I've been going, keep changing my appointments my doctor If i an call it like that never saw me. And whe I have an appointment they canceled. I don't even know why masshealth are paying those people called dr. at this place they never available.

LITERALLY THE WORST PLACE EVER, makes sense why there star reviews are so low. Bad workers, horrible management and a waist of time. You can have an app set at 11 and you'd be in the waiting room until 1pm. went because i was sick with covid/flu symptoms, they took a test for me and it was negative, and ended up with "you probably have the flu" and my app was dismissed, like wdym "probably"? they didn't even bother taking other tests to figure out what i had they just did the covid test and when i asked for a school note they only dismissed ONE DAY, thinking i can feel brand new the next. Hate this place, it's disgusting and they have horrible rude people. Go at your own risk

Actually terrible service don't even know how they are still in business. I came for an appointment and waited 2 hours to be let in like always but they put me in a back room and say they'll be back in 5 minutes. And hour and a half later I walk out and they completely forgot I was in the room, they were eating their lunch. Honestly so disrespectful and the workers act like they do not care for their jobs at all. Definitely don't recommend going here

Since two years my wife want to fix her teeth in the Community Health Center but the Dental department does not want to fix her teeth, always the Doctor said sorry your teeth need a lot work please make appointment in another Place. She went to another place the same day It's was took only 90 minutes fixed her teeth, Compare 2 years to 90 minutes.

I only come here for OBGYN, she is great, very helpful and kind, so 2 stars are because of her. After an upsetting and unsettling experience with a pcp, who was incredibly judgmental and lacked severely in interpersonal skills, I refuse to come here for primary care. I have a medical card prescribed by an NP. I have found effective use in 6:1 CBD for sleep and anxiety management after trying otc meds for some time.

What I like most is that I am not dependent on it, and don't become irritable like I did with otc meds, esp if I wanted to skip a few days. I thoroughly explained everything, thought it was all fine until she gave me a call back later after my appointment to convince me out of having one. I wasn't expecting her call, did not have time for it, but she strongly insisted I hear what she had to say.

Thanks for "educating" me on things I was already educated and very aware of. She shammed me and thought she knew what was best FOR ME. Everything I was told meant nothing as someone with no history of substance abuse or chronic health issues. I politely told her to stop wasting our time, but she wouldn't let up. I interjected and immediately hung up, the most frustrating experience I've had with any doctor. Their website's description emphasizes "kind and nonjudgmental" treatments. Sad they don't make sure ALL doctors embody that, especially pcps.

I have been going to this clinic for 9 years. Everything was great until last September. No in person visits only telehealth. I have told them many times my phone does not support video calls yet that's all they offer. Just wish the lies would stop and I could get answers to my medical questions.

If I could give my review 0 stars, I would. Today I went to see OBGYN Peter Kuhlmann in Family Planning. I went there to discuss further steps in treatment for my PCOS which I have been diagnosed with now for about 4 years. First off, I arrived to my appointment on time and sat around and waited majority of my time here. Second, when I was explaining to him that I was looking to further my treatment for my PCOS he wasn't really listening to my concerns or taking me seriously.

I would give very clear, direct answers and he would trail off and talk about things un-related to my concerns and talk over me. Third, he kept saying my weight is the reason for my PCOS which is not true. I had to explain I was diagnosed years ago and when I was first diagnosed I was not considered over weight. My weight was normal at the time of my diagnosis.

If he had taken the two seconds to go back and look at my file he would've seen that. I felt for the amount of time I waited the appointment was very rushed. Office was definitely over booked. Comical to have 6 feet markers for social distancing but the office is over flooding with patients. Last but not least, he ordered an excessive amount of labs and some don't even pertain to the reason of todays visit. Lots of concerns and i don't feel I got any help or the answers I need.

So apparently a single mother with no vehicle waiting with her toddler for their ride home from an appointment was unable to sit according to the rude door greeters. They have also misplaced all my sons documents and the telehealth nurse was extremely rude an invasive she had no solutions for my concerns. After this rating his documents were unable to be located like really how convenient. I would really enjoy speaking with the Director of this establishment for the lack that lies within their employees an establishment.
