From the moment your baby was born, you've wanted nothing but the best for your child. Yet all too often, visits to the pediatrician are rushed and impersonal, leaving you with unanswered questions and feeling more like a number than a human. I have always received the best care for my kids. Not only is [Dr Lori] knowledgeable and experienced, but she always takes time to answer all the questions (and I sure had a lot of them as a new mom!). I have never felt rushed at any appointment and she always makes the kids feel comfortable.
Services
I've always known that I wanted my career to focus on helping kids. After graduating from University of Rochester, I taught high school math in New Orleans with Teach for America. In working with teens, I discovered how important it is to me to listen and raise up their voices. Since teaching, I graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professionals and I have been practicing as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
As of Summer 2018, we are proud to be working with New England Mothers First! working in our office: Wednesdays - Fridays, 9am - 4pm! Offers 7 independent Nurse Practitioners dedicated exclusively to expertise lactation consulting & problematic infant feeding. Offers compassionate, multilingual, accepting and respectful visits in a common sense way with in-between visits support by email.

I found this office when looking for a pediatrician to pierce my daughters ears. From the minute I picked up the phone to make the appointment, to the time my appointment was over, I was nothing but amazed at the quality, care and professionalism of the staff. The women who answered my initial phone call went above and beyond being sure to answer any and all questions I had, to booking an appointment at a time that worked best for us, and providing excellent customer service.
We traveled about 45 minutes to the office, and we were blown away by the office. The office was clean, welcoming and most of all friendly. Checking in was a breeze! We selected my daughters earrings and we were almost immediately called back by Rosa, the lovely nurse! She applied the numbing cream ensuring I was informed and understood what and why she was doing what she was.
She was excellent! Then while the cream started working we waited (for not too long!) in the very cool treatment room. Lots and lots for the kids to look at, adults too! We then met Dr. Friedburg and he was so welcoming. He spent time going over aftercare instructions, answering any questions I had, explaining the procedure, and making sure my daughter and I were comfortable throughout the entire appointment.
He then took his time ensuring the placement would be even, and having me double check. He was very patient and extremely kind throughout the entire visit. To wrap up this lengthy review I'll end by saying I wish we lived closer to the office to be able to see them for regular visits! The office is great and we can't thank them enough for such a wonderful, welcoming experience.

Our midwife was a friend of Dr. Wallace and my wife and I are so glad we chose her to be our daughter's dr. She listens and reflects on my wife's Brazilian culture. Answers our messages on the app quickly and with details. She follows our lead on our parenting style and offers guidance to that, not just blanket statements. When we call there is never a long wait, we can get in touch with a nurse quickly after hours. I always trust that they will be there for all of us as we navigate being first time parents.

Can't say enough good things about this practice! Dr. Friedberg has been incredible with our now-toddler since birth. We have never felt the slightest bit rushed in our appointments, and he has spent generous time counseling us -- both in person and on the phone -- through some very challenging times with our toddler. He's also very fast in replying on Patient Gateway! We've seen other doctors in this practice as well and they're all fantastic.

I took my 14 year old twins for their annual physical, and my son for an ADHD med check, and once again was completely blown away by the quality of care and the expertise of the doctors at this practice. Dr. Friedberg was so comprehensive and reviewed the twins medical, social, and mental well-being, speaking to them about nutrition, activity, the dangers of vaping, as well as health issues.
He connects well with teens and it was awesome to see the twins take responsibility for their own health! Dr. Lori Gara-Mathews handled my son's medicine check in and gave us great advice on handling my son's disability with the school, ideas on how to adjust his meds based on school feedback, and general insight into how to help him meet his potential. Over the years, Dr. Gara-Mathews basically saved our sanity by helping me get on top of my son's medical needs. I can't say enough about this practice. Highly Recommend.

Dr. Gara, Dr. Friedberg and their whole pediatric office staff are, in a word, "amazing". They are everything you hope for in a pediatric group: extremely knowledgeable, straightforward, compassionate and thorough. All of that, with a sense of humor. :) They truly care about their patients, and it shows. My 3 children (11, 8, and 3) have been under her care since my oldest was born, and I would never dream of leaving (despite the 45 minute ride). We LOVE you guys!
