Just sat in emergency for 2.5 hours not 1 dr nurse or medtech came to check on me. No one offered me ice for my knee that was the 4 times its regular size. Xray did come and go. after 2 hrs i hit the call button I told them to call me with the results as they didn't even know I existed. She said she would get the dr waited another 30 minutes and walked out than they wanted my crutches that I came in with! If you want to be ignored than this is the place to go.

Falsified my records. They also lost my baby's birth certificate paperwork and didn't tell me until a month later when I've been expecting a birth certificate in the mail. Had to refill everything out. I can't believe that I had to deal with all of this and how much I was disrespected on so many levels by staff, in the maternity ward of all places. No excuses.

We waited for hours to be released from the ER after our child was treated. I waved at a coordinator lady to get her attention so I could ask her what was taking so long. She yelled from across the hall that she was busy with other patients. She never came to talk to us. We finally got the attention of a nurse who got the doctor to release our child. Because of that rude coordinator lady, we decided never to go back to this hospital. Ever.

Well this use to be my go to hospital for everything but after I left my very expensive earrings there yesterday in the room I was in and no one can seem to figure out where they went I'll never go back there. They pretty much told me it beat for my earrings that cost 2 grand. It's not like another patient went into that room right after me they have to clean it so whoever walked in that room to clean it up has my earrings and they aren't even willing to look at the cameras. Told me because I signed a consent form that they weren't responsible for my belongings no they aren't but they are responsible for there employees. I'm so sick to my stomach over thus. Whoever cleans there e.r room is thief. Fair warning.

5 1/2 hours and still waiting to be seen. I was told that the Dr. decides on what order people are seen. Really? My husband has been sitting here in pain. Just because he's not crying or complaining every 2 seconds he's forced to wait? This is the absolute WORST hospital I have ever been to. This is ridiculous. I will NEVER come back and warn everyone I know to stay clear.

The treatment of my father, or lack there of, is making me insane. We haven't spoken with a doctor in 2 days. It takes 40 minutes for a nurse to respond to a call bell. I realize that hospital workers are spread thin, absolutely, but he's wasting away without a clue about what his treatment plan is, and that's unacceptable.

ER Receptionist is the Most Unprofessional. She is Short, Rude and Clearly Doesn't Belong in a Healthcare Setting (No Healthcare Degree/Experience). Has Repeatedly Said "I Won't Do This or That, and It's Above My Pay Grade" Clearly Caring About People is Above Your Pay Grade Too. Clearly GVH Doesn't Care About Hiring Competent Personnel, They'll Hire Any Kind of Trash Available.
During a Previous Incident of Waiting Over 3 Hours In the Waiting Room with Cardiac Symptoms (Apparently Elderly Patients Don't Matter Over Criminals, Children, Non Urgent Cases). Even During a Emergent Visit, The Doctors/Nurses Don't Seem to Be In A Rush/Hurry to Help. (Especially During COVID) (Opinions Provided by a Medical Professional)

I don't understand all these bad reviews. The hospital is understaffed just like everywhere else thanks to your elected officials. Do not blame them for your wait. They are literally trying to do the best they can. Both my Mother and Father were treated here over the last few weeks. They were nothing but caring and attentive. Sure waiting times where a bit long. but, once in they were properly treated and taken care of. Honestly some of the best nurses I have met over the years.

I am only giving this a one star because the second doctor to help me was actually very nice. I came here with a sever ear infection and the doctor barley looked at my ear and sent me on my way with medicine. 2 days later I returned because my symptoms had gotten much worse. I was in the ER for 9 hours. 9! I was in horrible pain and crying and about to pass out and anytime my boyfriend had asked the lady's upfront how much longer she said we can't help you, or I can't tell you that.
She was rude and unprofessional and didn't help us but had time to chat with a friend for about 30 minutes in the waiting area. Over half the people there has Covid (I was told) so if you didn't have it you most likely will now. This place is absolutely horrible. I wouldn't recommend it even if you were dying. This is just one of many horror stories I have about this place.
I would recommend any other hospital besides this one. However the doctor I had the second time and the nurses were really nice. The lady's up front though gotta go. That's not an attitude you want when you are in excruciating pain. They seem like they don't care if you were dying, I'm pretty sure if I was dying they would just say oh I don't know can't help.

Ignorant staff, nurses are borderline clueless, doctors are bottom of the barrel. Scary to think these people are in control of saving lives. Brought my 15 month old son to this hospitals er. We received absolutely no help and after spending 6 hours at this hospital received no answers regarding my sons condition. My wife and I just picked up our son and walked out of the grand view ER and went straight to CHOP in the city where we received top notch care for our son. Grandview is a bottom of the barrel hospital with bottom of the barrel staff. Asking the staff great questions regarding our situation was like we were bothering them.
I wouldn't recommend going to this hospital for a minor scratch. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR HELP. IF YOU DO YOU WILL REGRET YOUR DECISION AND WILL JUST WASTE YOUR TIME.

I had an infection in my leg that antibiotics from my family DR was not clearing up after 5 days. It was strange because there was no break in the skin, just a very sore area below the skin. I was referred to DR. Scaff of the Grandview surgery group and got an appointment at 10:30 Am the next day. Dr. Scaff said I needed IV antibiotics and possibly surgery to drain the wound (cellulitis).
He admitted me to the hospital within the hour (noon) and the care was great. I got a cat scan and blood work and a member of DR Scaff's team ( DR. Kelly) said the infection was deep and I needed surgery to drain the wound. Dr. Kelly operated on me at 6PM the same day and they placed me on IV multiple antibiotics. My blood chemistry was closely monitored along with my vitals.
The nursing staff was very diligent on assuring my IV antibiotics were rotated on time while my blood chemistry styed within limits and my BP meds were administered on time. The infection started slowly clearing up immediately and I was released from the hospital on the 3rd day. As far as my care, I rate them top notch. I also have had experience with their emergency room and their care was faster and as good as any other emergency room I have visited.

I was really skeptical yesterday to go get my surgery done at this hospital due to the rating and reviews. I myself was treated completely different I couldn't ask for more. The doctor and nurses on the second floor were I had my surgery done were professional and very compassionate with me. I was treated with respect! After surgery I was taking to the pediatrician floor for observation for 4 hours or more and I couldn't thank enough the wonderful nurse and aide who took care of me Val and Diane were very professional and caring they helped me so much and we're so kind to me and my family.
We need more people in this world like Val and Diane who treat people with dignity and respect and overall compassion. God bless everyone who was involved with my surgery thank you to my wonderful GYN Dr kraner he is so kind and professional! Thank you very much!

HORRIBLE HOSPITAL! They care more about their stupid restrictions than they do about people! So sick of this place! Was kicked out by the administrator because i came a little earlier than visitor hours to bring my husband's a decent breakfast and get him ready to go home. Was told to wait in the lobby until 11. What was i hurting? It's their fault that's he's dying of cancer because of all their restrictions over the last year.

My son had surgery (appendectomy) here and the nurses and surgeon were amazing while we were there. They took care of my son and were very patient with me and him. Dr. Scaff was very personable and took good care of my son. The nurses were attentive and friendly. I was impressed by how clean and calm the hospital environment was. I am a nursing student and a CNA so I knew what to look for. Dr. Scaff and the nurses took interest in talking with me about my son and my future nursing career. It was a nice experience. I may end up working for Grandview some day.

Well, i went there on january 17, 2021 because i had broken my l3 vertebrae walking out of a laundromat. at the end of the visit the only thing that they did was to say that it was only 30% broken and the doctor is not going to do anything about that. that was all. nothing else. they could have at least asked me if i am having trouble walking with my broken back and i would have said yeees! did they even say that maybe i might need a walker. i swear.

This place sucks as they years go on I was born in this hospital and is so bad that I don't want my own child born in it I come in with my girlfriend after having really bad back pain and granit she is 6 months pregnant. I wasn't allowed in the same room with her and not only that it takes the nurses and doctor almost 2 hours to figure out why her back is hurting the way it was. It's funny cause as I was sitting in the waiting room for her to get back I watched a family of 4 pile into one room. Am I in the wrong to be pissed that I can't be in the same room as my girlfriend and my child.

So I called trying to reach a patient that was admitted YESTERDAY and the woman that answered the phone couldn't find the patient in the system and she was very short with me and unpleasant. She acted like I was bothering her. I gave her the room number and last name and she still couldn't find the patient! I remembered the patient had a cell phone so I ended up calling the cell phone to reach the patient.
The patient did not move rooms at all so I don't know why the lady answering the phone can't do her job correctly! Maybe they should hire someone who knows how to do their job correctly and pleasantly.

Went to the Er New Years eve, the time in was fast and my wife was taken right away, infection in jaw Dr prescribed antibiotic ruled out wisdom teeth, saw slight blotches may be on set of shingles did ekg just to make sure nothing else was going on. Recommended to see family Dr asap. Satisfied! Saw family Dr after new years day. and she determined shingles on side of face prescribed the proper treatment.
In the process 1 day later my wife got Bels Palsy. Face drooped and we headed to the ER. Let me tell you, the Nurse treat her to the upmost of seriousness, took her right away, the Dr checked everthing to rule out symptoms other than shingles, I always had a negative to say in the past, but these 2 experiences have been so positive, thank you Dr Slagel & Dr O'Shura. for your Help, we left here with the upmost confidence, This place has come a long way to reach this level of service, Thank you Staff, Walter Schilling.

I recently staggered in to the ER at 3AM with what turned out to be a kidney stone. Having done the same 21 years ago with a ruptured Diverticulum, I had feared more of the same. 5 stars for the service and for being granted an 80% financial aid discount with no argument after filing basic information. They ran the CT scan, looked in in me while I waited (an ER is an ER and some people are bleeding), and had me out by 6AM with the meds I needed to get through the next several days without discomfort (thanking them especially for the antinausea sublinguals, which cut the pain by at least 90% in a few minutes).

The care center in Kulpsville is a joke. Urgent Care? Hardly. We have had experience with other clinics in the past, and always had to wait a long time. We decided to go here because you could actually make an appointment. We showed up 10 minutes prior to the appointment per the confirmation text. We were taken in to the exam room promptly, the 1st tech took the weight and blood pressure.
One half hour later a nurse came in to review that information and asked what were the symptoms and complaint. More than a half hour later the doctor finally came in asked the same questions the nurse did and a few more. She spent about 5 minutes with me, you could see she was in a hurry, gave a prescription and left. Never again

I gave birth here and it was the absolute worst experience ever. One, the nurses did not listen to anything i was saying. They did not call the doctor in to deliver my baby until i was already pushing and the doctor kept walking out of the room while i was pushing. Two, they did not allow me to put my son's father on the birth certificate because we were not married.
I have never heard of this. That is BS. Third, they tried to get me to put my son's father on child support while he was sleeping. Shady as hell! I felt like a prisoner in that hospital. I was so happy to leave. Home births from here on out.

Harleysville Outpatient Center - Woman who checked me in at 7am asked me why I was there and if I had an scheduled appointment. When I asked her if she didn't see me scheduled, she said everyone is asked that, and immediately became annoyed. I listened to the questions she asked the next few and do you have an appointment was not one of them. The technician was also not friendly. I've never seen folks who were so miserable at 7am. Won't be going back here for imaging.

3/20/2018: Financial assistance office person, Ronnie, (Sp.?) is incredibly short, aggressive and rude. You feel ashamed for even calling to ask if you can make payments on your bill. You feel even more ashamed for asking about financial assistance - though they are "proud to offer it to their patients" per their website. I was very nice throughout the call, but hung up feeling terrible for being poor and needing emergency medical care.
Will never go here again. UPDATE: I called today 3/23 and spoke with Craig. Extremely kind, very helpful and he set up a monthly payment that completely fit my budget. He was so kind. I am revising my review that not all are bad, but that woman Ronnie is awful and should never ever be put in a customer service position. FYI my care was OK - took forever but they got me feeling better and to the right person for follow up. Overall satisfied.

Well, somethings never change! In the year 1951,, my mother went there to have me, I had no say in the mater of which hospital, this is what happened. After three days of labor, and a whole seven minutes before we both kicked the bucket, they did a C-section. My father said the doctor came out to him covered in my mother's blood, leaned up against the wall, lit a cigar, and said, Nothing like a good smoke after a normal delivery.
My dad, a very calm man, normally, took the doctor into the delivery room, and yelled, where's my child? The doc was half plastered!, Needless to say, with all the yelling, I started crying again, daddy pushed the nurses out of the way, took me in his arms, and gave me my name Mary Kathleen. My mother slept for sixteen hours. I think they gave her to much to put her to sleep.
We left the next day for Home. My great grandmother knew what to do. Even took out mothers stitches, all thirty-three of them! Nothing changes, at least not at Ungrand view hospital.

This place was quick and efficient first time me and my boyfriend came here. He had a physicians assistant treat him. That man was nice very thorough and quick. 2nd time we attempted an Allentown hospital it was a zoo. So we left. Then we came here to Grandview at least they took us back and did some testing, we were waiting for blood results. It took us about 3.5 hours was a long night. But worth it for the care received.
