Dr. Tauro superb from beginning to end. He is one of the first doctors I have ever went to that was so very honest. Dr. Tauro definetly is not one of those doctors ready to see "dollars". When I went to Dr. Tauro for the first time I was impressed. He listened to my problem sends me for a MRI. Second visit with Dr. Tauro thoroughly explained my injury that showed up on the MRI.
He suggested several ways we can try to go about it before mentioning surgery in fact that was the last alternative unfortunately I had to have surgery. Dr. Tauro has great bed side manners. I truly love Dr. Tauro as well as his staff. Judy, Kay and Donna the most friendliest and professional workers I have ever come across. Oh and by the way if candy or donuts happen to be in the office during one of my visits the goodies are always offered to me. Last but not least Dr. Tauro wears the nicest Hawaiian shirts ever LOL! I'm glad I found You Dr. Tauro!

Very disappointed especially with the office manager Donna. Lack of emotion, courtesy and professionalism. I had only two visits, the first one was good, the follow up four weeks later was a disappointment!. The Doctor was rushing, impatient, no eye contact and short with me. Showed no emotion when I was asking questions in regards to a potential surgery That I needed to repair a tear in my rotator cuff.
When he left the room to prep for a Cortizone injection in my elbow, I mentioned to the nurse that I was upset, her response was, to his defense it's been a busy day. I told her no excuse I was very disappointed left there feeling that I had made a mistake with this doctor and staff. Decided to cancel I surgery.

I received surgery on my right quadricep from Dr. Tauro and it went perfectly. Surgery was done at Toms River Surgery Center. The entire staff there and Dr. Tauro did an amazing job with the surgery and everything went smooth. Doctor Tauro's staff at his office is also full of down to earth, amazing people. They're all very polite, courteous and understanding when it comes to scheduling and billing.
I have absolutely no complaints about the entire process with Dr. Tauro and his staff. I am very appreciative of everything they have done for me and in awe that after 6 months post op I am back to playing soccer again. Truly amazing and humbling to get the care and respect from a team that truly wants you to get back to 100% in the quickest and safest way possible.
Thank you so much for everything and I hope this review guides people to a great doctor in Tauro and his team. I am 28 years old and to be back to myself after just 6 months is an awesome feeling.

My experience with Dr. Tauro from beginning to end was superior! From the first visit, he explained his thinking and plan. I followed up with him after PT and MRI and was told surgery for rotator cuff repair was necessary. Office staff helped with the process, and I was prepared for each step of surgery, post op, PT, and visits. Even my physical therapists love working with Dr Tauro because he's very explicit with his instructions. I knew I was in capable hands and am glad I had the surgery!

I had total (left) knee replacement December 2016. Dr. Joe and his entire team did a fantastic job. I have no complaints regarding the surgery, prep, or after care. I am comparing this to the (right) knee replacement I'd had 5 years earlier in Florida. I was able to be released home the following day. Was pretty much grounded due to weather at the time but shortly thereafter I got one of those rolling walkers so my dog and I could resume our normal routine.
We must have looked funny, traversing the neighborhood as I had attached lights and a bicycle bell to the walker but we began with a half mile, then a mile, then two, then 3. By the time we were back up to our regular 5 miles a day I was able to park the walker and do our thing unaided. My little papillon, Cooper, was happy about that! Physical therapy/rehab was arranged for close to where I live.
Pain management was appropriate to total knee replacement surgery. Pre-op testing was especially thorough, follow up was outstanding. Maybe I should mention that I'm a 225 lb. male and was 67 at the time of surgery. Now at 13 1/2 months post surgery I've long since (happily) resumed all regular activities. If I needed joint surgery I wouldn't hesitate to go with Dr. Tauro again and, given high marks, I have recommended him to a number of friends and close associates in the last year. I should note that he was recommended to me by a friend that I play beach and indoor volleyball with regularly. David R.

The worst medical experience I ever had. The surgi center he uses was dark and gloomy.( They wouldn't even let my wife come back with me before the scheduled surgery. ) I went in for rotator cuff repair and almost died on the table, due to a anesthesiologist mistake with nerve block needle (put it in wrong place). I went into maybe the worst ER in the country, (judging by reviews, and friends of mine that had relatives die there).
I should have did research on this, in case a complication occurred. My Fault. To pour salt on the wound, Tauro never followed up to see how I was doing, and Tauro's office is now badgering me for a couple hundred dollars bill, from the appointment right before scheduled surgery. Guess its just business. Not ethics. Please be careful if you choose this Doctor for any surgery. I'd give this 0 stars -but the review needed one star to post. Patient Beware!
