In 1972, before the era of open MRIs, hip replacement, and arthroscopic surgery, Midwest Orthopaedic Institute brought the first orthopaedic physicians to DeKalb County. Since then, MOI has continued to recruit the finest orthopaedic specialists in the country. All of the orthopaedic specialists currently practicing at MOI are further distinguished by having completed fellowships in sub-specialties, placing them at the highest levels of their profession.These highly trained physicians anchor MOI's "Centers of Excellence, " which focus respectively on the areas of Foot and Ankle, Hip and Knee, Shoulder and Elbow, Hand and Wrist, Sports Injuries, and Joint Replacement.
Midwest Orthopaedic Institute is a regional referral center for the finest orthopaedic care. Physicians send their patients with challenging orthopaedic needs to our specialty Centers of Excellence, rather than sending them to Chicago or Madison. We are privileged to serve our neighbors and friends and honored to provide care to patients referred to us from outside this area.
