Our practice is a specialty eye practice limited to treatment of diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. Patients that are new to our practice will have a comprehensive consultation as well as possible additional testing ordered by the doctor. The length of your appointment can vary based on the severity and complexity of your eye condition.

Patients with HMO insurances are required to have their referrals from their Primary Care Providers prior to their visit. Everyone at this office are professional and friendly. I had a torn retina and Dr. Ranchod used laser surgery to repair it. It only took 5 minutes! Dr. Ranchod explains everything he is doing and makes you feel at ease. I was very nervous going in but by the time I left I was so comfortable. Have to thank everyone at the office for their assistance, especially Matt! I would highly recommend Dr. Ranchod.

The office staff was polite and respectful. The doctor seemed to really care about what was happening to my eyes. What I really like is that he consults with the other doctors that are working with me. He bases the next steps on what they have recommended also. That is the best kind of care. When the ophthalmologist suspected there was trouble with my retina he called doctor Rancher. Office at Bay Area retinal specialists to see if dr. Richard could get me in to be seen. Dr. Blanchard responded promptly got me an appointment later scheduled me for surgery all within about 8 days. I am appreciative of his professionalism and the staff being kind and courteous. I hope my vision is restored 2 better than what it was in the near future pause. I recommend Bay Area retinal specialist for your eye care needs.

My dad had consulted Dr. Ranchod at the Fremont branch. The treatment was very good and the Dr. was very friendly, approachable and professional. Also, the person who did the scanning of the eyes was very professional. And, all the other staff in the hospital including the front office staff was very friendly and approachable. I would definitely refer BARA to my friends.
