Services
The Physicians and research staff at Nebraska Pulmonary Specialties have a strong commitment to clinical research. A clinical research trial is a scientific study that tests the effectiveness of a new medical treatment, medication or device with volunteer patients. Patient volunteers receive these investigational treatments under close supervision of a physician, our research coordinators and the sponsor of the clinical trial.
We are an American College of Radiology accredited facility. This means we meet national standards for CT imaging. We have a state of the art 64 slice CT scanner, professionally trained technologists with more than 14 years experience, together with 9 board certified Radiologists with a combined 96 years experience.
Pulmonary function tests are breathing tests to find out how well you move air in and out of your lungs (spirometry), the size of your lungs (body plethysmography), and how well oxygen enters your body (diffusion capacity). The spirometry is occasionally performed both before and after receiving an inhaled medication. The purpose of such testing is to determine your responsiveness to medication, which may affect the diagnosis and treatment options.
Our physicians are committed to rural medicine, and as such, have established relationships with numerous facilities across Nebraska and Iowa. Our goal is to meet your needs, and so we have developed programs that range from in-person visits to telemedicine visits for fifteen locations (and growing.)

I have been seeing Dr. Hopkins for a few years and I also see LaDeana. I love everyone at the Omaha office. They are all kind and Dr. Hopkins and LaDeana are fantastic. I saw a different pulmonologist before Dr. Hopkins and I am so glad I made the switch. He has helped my lungs and breathing tremendously. I would highly recommend Dr. Hopkins to anyone.

I had a sleep study done last month and still haven't been given my results from Dr. Barry. I have called multiple times and have had no luck getting my results. I was ordered the sleep study because I am so fatigued that I have a hard time staying awake whenever I sit for more than 10 mins, this includes behind the wheel, but nobody seems to care if I fall asleep and drive into oncoming traffic. terrible experience. Update, still garbage!
I was finally given the results of my study (they were sent by snail mail , and post marked 4 days before this review was posted, yet the nursing staff said they had no info) and I was told I need to do an in lab study, followed by a nap study. This office sent the wrong orders to the sleep lab, and it took me showing up for my appt a month later before anybody realized the mistake.
So now I have to wait YET ANOTHER month to actually get the studies done that I need! I was referred to this office in July, and it is now nov, and will be dec before the tests are done. when a patient is literally saying they are dozing while driving, that is WAY TOO LONG! Really wishing I had been referred elsewhere.

I've been seeing Dr. Miller here for decades. She has always provided compassionate, thorough, expert care. The staff is so helpful, especially as I live out of town. They are so caring and willing to go the extra mile to explore new avenues of treatment. This all means a lot when you have breathing issues. Highly recommend.

My husband saw Dr. Maslonka back in January and he was wonderful. However, he had a sleep titration test done and it was read by Dr. Fiedler who verbally ordered O2 from AHP! AHP sent the order back to be signed so they could submit it to insurance. This was time sensitive and due to his negligence and not signing an order after 2 1/2 weeks had passed the O2 was denied.
We wondered what was taking so long and after calls to AHP, our insurance company, and the office he was told he'd have to repeat the test! Our insurance company said to have the Dr. call them to get it authorized and they didn't do it! No one ever answers the calls and it takes longer than 24 hours to get a call back. After leaving many voicemails they have managed to call my husband one time only to tell him again he had to repeat the test!
Who's paying for this to be repeated and also cover his wages to take more time off work? Because of Dr. Fiedlers Incompetency as a healthcare provider my husbands health could ultimately be effected!

Dr. RYAN Martin has been my pulmonologist for yrs. He is incredibly thoughtful and patient. Never rushes you out of your appt. Clearly sits with you and explains everything to you clearly. Let's you ask questions and gives solid truthful answers. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on all new procedures. He truly cares about his patients and their treatment and well being. The staff is quick and efficient and very nice and comforting. I highly recommend this office and Dr. Martin. I can't give enough stars.

Staff to patient follow up is horrible. I've had tests completed that I do not know what the results are. When I asked to get them, was told that they thought I had already been talked to about them. I was then promised another call to receive them and no call. Had concerns with my medication also and no call.

In the beginning I thought this place was great. I had a virtual appointment 3 weeks ago. Dr. Said she would call AHP to change my script. Still hasn't. I have left 3 messages with no results. Will b calling my primary for a new referral. Update. i was reached out to and while on the phone with AHP after speaking with NP, they received a fax for my needs.

No one ever picks up the phone and trying to get them to call back takes forever, sometimes you have call and leave several messages. My husband needs his meds and the pharmacy trying to contact them and just getting nowhere for weeks. I guess your patients health is not that important. And just choose another office.
