We have ten Board Certified physicians who look forward to providing care for you. We value continuity of care and believe it is vital for the management of your health. Routine appointments are made with your physician. In the case of an urgent visit, or if your physician is not available you may be scheduled with another physician but you will return to your primary physician for any future visits or care.
We strive to see patients for urgent issues the same day or within 24 hours. There may be some urgent cases where you may be referred to another healthcare facility (such as an urgent care facility or the hospital).

Services
Patients with urgent problems who wish to be seen should call the office and visit with their nurse for scheduling an appointment or other directions. We prefer to not have walk in patients as our schedules are very busy and at times individuals can be left sitting for long periods of times. Again please call your nurse for further directions when you have an immediate request to be seen.
Please contact our office at (402) 421-3240 between the hours of 8:15 am and 4:00 pm. If you need to speak with your nurse please press 2, listen for your physician's name and follow the prompts. If you are in need of an appointment for anything other than a same day appointment, please press 6 for the appointment desk.
You can have a telemedicine appointment with one of the Lincoln Internal Medicine providers if you have a smart phone with text messaging or an email account. Dr. McMillan was my doctor for 20+ years and stuck by me through ups and downs, sickness and health, misery and death and all my thick and thins. She always greets you with a smile. She's honest and up front with you. She is a grade A team player. She treats her patients with dignity. I'm sorry she and her family couldn't move with us!

Dr. McMillan at LIMA is an especially good physician. Our family has been going to her for many years. She is an excellent communicator and gives good educational information in context with her recommendations. I'm always impressed with her knowledge as well. For patients who want to take an active role with their physician they'll be pleased with her.

Dr. Plachy is the most caring doctor I have ever been to. He takes the time to get to know you as well as his nurse, Jenni! Most of the staff are professional and polite, the phlebotomists are very fast and all kind. I have had only one unpleasant experience and that was with a different physician, in 20 years of being a patient there. My mother was also a patient there of Dr. Pace, also a kind and gentle man. I highly recommend LIMA!

If you don't do things exactly their way (which isn't always possible) they won't help you. Trying to get them to talk to my insurance company proved impossible after 2 weeks of fighting with them to get a prior authorization on a medication I'd been taking for 2 years, being told they would get right on it, nothing ever happened, and leaving a message for anyone but the nurse was about as much use as yelling at a stone. The doctors themselves aren't terrible I'd give them a 3, but the office itself is one of the worst I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Dr. Einspahr is wonderful! Hands down one of the best, if not THE best, internal medicine doctors in Lincoln. He's extremely intelligent and a very kind person. He always takes the time to answer all of my questions and is very thorough in addressing any and all health issues. I'm grateful to be under his care.
