Between the ages of 17-25 the last 4 teeth appear in your mouth, which are known as "wisdom teeth" because of their late eruption. Modern diets have rendered them less useful and usually problematic. Wisdom teeth are prone to disease and often becoming impacted. Since about 85% of wisdom teeth eventually become candidates for removal, Red Rock OMSC wants you to know, we're ready to help.
At Red Rock Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Centre in Las Vegas, we understand that it's human nature to avoid dental procedures. We just don't like pain, and the idea of dental procedures can cause a great deal of anxiety. So we hold out as long as we can even though our inner voice is telling us just the opposite.
TMJ stands for Temporomandibular (TMJ). It's the small joint where your jaw meets your skull. The TMJ makes life much easier for most of us. For others, troublesome, difficulties with it are actually just called TMJ too. Frequently it's excruciatingly painful. Went there for an emergency referred by another dentist. I sat in the waiting room in tears. Only to go back after being poked and prodded and put in more pain for the doctor to tell me there was anything he could do for me. I thought he was a surgeon. I guess not. Dr. Deegan is not a very good doctor. They called me in a prescription I needed to change the pharmacy and they refused to change the pharmacy. So I had to go to an entirely different doctor to try to get some antibiotics. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could give them less than one star I would

I absolutely love these guys moved herE from Cleveland Ohio, n my first month they pulled nine of my teeth Four of which were wisdom. yes nine and When I say I was back at wrk within two days! The recovery was amazing Julia is the best when it comes to communication, which is Key! I LOVE THEM AND WILL BE BACK!

This is my first time leaving a review on Google, but I had to leave a review for this surgery centre. My husband and I have both been here before. We both got all 4 of our wisdom teeth taken out. He did it a year prior to me. My husband experienced pain but he was able to work the next day (10hr shift). He recovered fine. I just got my surgery done this morning.
I was so anxious and scared. However, everyone there was so kind and reassuring that it'll be okay. They did it in subtle ways that did not make me stress. Now it's night time and I feel completely normal. I did not experience much pain today. I briefly did for 2 minutes three different times. HOWEVER, it was a pain of 1/10 with 1 being the least pain possible.
My husband bleed more than me, but I BARELY BLEED! I didn't even have gauze in my mouth after my surgery and didn't really need it. My husband did. My husband's experience was good but mine was perfect! It couldn't have been better. Thank you so much to everyone at this surgery centre! Dr. Degen is amazing! I would recommend this place to everyone I know even if it's randomly! They truly care about your patients. Please take my word and come here! :)

"No pain, no gain!" Before the surgery, I was very very very nervous and scared. I wanted to back out, but knew it had to be done. Everything was quick and pain-free. One minute I was looking up at the ceiling. Then, all of a sudden, one of the surgical staff members was tapping me to wake up. I couldn't believe it - felt like only 5 minutes had gone by.
Not only was the surgery flawless, but the recovery was incredible. My friends and family keep commenting that it seems like nothing happened - my face isn't swollen, I'm not in pain, etc. 10/10 would 100% recommend to family and friends. Dr. Degen and his staff are amazing. I will definitely come back if/when I have any oral surgical needs.

They did a great job removing my son's wisdom teeth. I thought it would take much longer but they had them out very quick. My son was very happy with the service and care he received from Dr Degan. Everyone that we dealt with from the front end staff, assistants, etc., were all great to deal with. My son was even able to go on his HS Disney trip two days later with no problems.

I flew to Vegas to see Dr. Degen on a recommendation to get my wisdom teeth taken out. I had a truly amazing experience. He was warm, caring, and very thorough. I experienced no pain or swelling even though I had a complicated extraction. I didn't even need to take any of the pain medication that he prescribed. I was having New Years dinner with my family the day of the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Degen and his team to take care of any oral surgery needs that you have!

I personally have never experienced excessive wait time, staff is very nice and knowledgeable, Dr. Degen is an amazing surgeon, I was terrified of getting my implant done under IV sedation (I am one of the weirdos who need to see and know what is going on whenever I get any dental procedures done) but he made very easy. I give this place five stars and if for any reason I need to get an oral surgery again, I will definitely go back to Dr. Degen!

First of all, let me start off by telling you that I wouldn't have gotten my wisdom teeth if I didn't have to. I was too scared! Thankfully, Dr. Degen and his staff did everything they could to calm my nerves and anxiety. They played music I like to calm me down and explained every step of the procedure. I felt like I was in a hospital for a check up or something, because they went above and beyond to ensure I was healthy enough to undergo the procedure without any potential risks or hazards.
Everything started as a casual conversation about myself and things I like. Then, they prepped everything. Next thing I knew, I woke up and everything was done. It was as if everything happened at the blink of an eye. No pain or swelling. I cannot recommend this facility and staff enough. I make sure to tell all my family and friends about Dr. Degen's clinic whenever possible. I don't have any more wisdom teeth, but I'll definitely go back for any of my future oral surgery needs. This place is incredible. It's a combination of a dental office and a hospital/clinic. I visited Dr. Degen and his team, because I needed all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. Step 1: check-in. Step 2: take x-rays and vital signs. Step 3: a simple walk through of the problem and procedure. Step 4: gargle with a medicated mouthwash. Step 5: hook you up to an EKG monitor.
Step 6: put you to sleep. Step 7: wake up and go about your business. The end. The procedure was simple, quick, and painless. In fact, I wasn't loopy whatsoever. I was perfectly normal. This is weird to say, but. I've never been more excited for my next dental appointment. :D
