To provide patients with the highest quality of care, we have created several centers of excellence within the practice of Orthopaedic Specialists, focusing on different areas of specialized care. Each of our talented physicians is fellowship trained with extensive experience in their field and is able to address the most complex issues in their area.
Dr. Tuvi Mendel is the head of Orthopaedic Specialist's Foot and Ankle Center, and is known as one of the leading foot and ankle surgeons in the Quad Cities. He provides orthopaedic care to our patients with disorders or injuries of the feet, ankles, and lower legs with such treatments as arthroscopic surgery, total ankle replacements, bunionectomy, injections, and other advanced treatments.
Dr. Darmafall, who most recently served as an assistant professor of clinical orthopaedic surgery at Ohio State University, is fellowship-trained in sports medicine. She has extensive experience in sports-related injuries of the shoulder, knee, hip, and offers arthroscopic and minimally invasive management of the shoulder, knee, and hip injuries.

I have been going to Dr. Cagle at the orthopedic specialist and he has been beyond amazing. He takes the time to listen to all my concerns and isn't trying to just rush out the door! His nurse Rachel had been amazing as well! Anytime I have a question she is very helpful at answering them. If she does not know the answer she always calls me back with the further information. I am very pleased with the care I'm receiving from this amazing team!

I came here as a walk in, since the emergency room was booked and I had already wasted 5 hours there to not get help. When I spoke with the receptionist she made me feel very judged. She told me that no Doctor For hip issues was on duty but that I could essentially waste a $60 co pay to see a doctor that will just refer me to the correct Doctor. She then proceeded to tell me the Doctor won't be giving me any medications.
As if I was there seeking drugs. I came because I needed help. I am in a lot of pain and I just want some kindness and compassion and to get my problems evaluated. The appointment I have scheduled with them is over a month out and I need help sooner as I am not getting sleep And am missing work due to disfunction. But the way she treated me made it clear there was zero compassion or help to be given. So I left and drove home bawling my eyes out. I am still in a lot pain and have run out of options to get any sort of help. The medical system has failed me once again.

After injuring my back during a major storm clean-up, followed by substantial and worsening pain over a six-month span, I met with Dr. Michael Dolphin for evaluation. Having tried all manner of therapy and medication without pain relief, I was more than ready to consider surgery, and he had been highly recommended. Nine days after a minimally invasive lumbar laminotomy (L4-5), I was finally able to walk upright--pain free, and without restrictions. Miraculous! My heartfelt thanks to Dr. Dolphin and the entire dedicated staff at Orthopaedic Specialists, PC.

Jason was highly knowledgeable and very caring and concerned about my foot. He throughly went over my X-rays with me. Jason was hospitable and suggested a few different options to minimize my pain with my plantar fasciitis and provide suggestions to relieve my pain. I've been dealing with this since 2015. It gets better then worse. Looking forward to complete resolution and I know Jason will get to the bottom of my extensive pain with a through evaluation and then a complete diagnosis.

I was seeing a doctor at another practice for a knee problem. I felt as if this doctor wasn't doing anything to help with my knee issue. I went to see Dr. Darmafall. My first visit with her, she outlined the process that we would follow to get me back to my regular state of activity. She helped me so much more in one visit then the prior doctor did in three visits.
She is a very understanding and warm hearted person. I wish I would have seen her first. Her staff is also very nice and friendly. I have recommended her to many people and will continue to do so.

Dr. John Hoffman and staff did an amazing job to relieve my pain and help put a more positive look to the future with my total knee replacement. If you're having any types of issues with any joints, I would certainly recommend Orthopedic Specialists in Davenport, Iowa. You're never to young or to old to get help with your joints. If you are having problems and you are under the age of 50, cortisone shots are not the way to live. God Bless Dr. John Hoffman and his staff one again!

Have had a Dr. / Patient relationship for years with Dr. Hoffman. His staff, from reception to nurses and x-ray to PA Dean are always professional, helpful in answering all my questions and care about my well being. Recently had knee replacement and his pre surgery routine helped with post surgery comfort. Very pleased with all my interactions with Dr. Hoffman and his team.
