If you are looking for a podiatrist in the Farmington Valley, West Hartford Podiatary should be the only podiatrist you should visit. I have seen Dr Marc Lederman for two different issues and I must say he is a very knowledgeable podiatrist, very pleasant personality, takes the time to understand your issues and has a very precise treatment plan that yields excellent result. His office staff is also top notch.

I went to an appointment with podiatry specialist because I had a suspicious black and engorged toenail. I didn't know if it was a fungus, or what. The appointment lasted 3 minutes. The (kind) doctor said hello, looked at only that toenail, cut a piece of nail and told me he would send it to the lab. I asked him about my feet in general, how he saw the nails (like I would with any specialist, - now that I'm here do a check-up- ) he just said it's all good.
Thanks for coming. A week goes by and I get a message "it's not a fungus! Good luck!" - sooo. What is it? No other further explanation. So I paid 45 after insurance for a simple answer without any solution. I called back, told them the story I just told you. The doctor called me back and said: it's not a fungus so probably something else. Ok Dr., So what is it? - well, just wait a year to see what happens.
It should outgrow by then. So conclusion, I paid, and nobody told me anything. I still have a black and engorged toenail with dry skin around it. The specialist didn't tell me what to do.

Made an appointment to have my toenail looked at. Dr took samples from each toe, got a call that "everything was fine", with no explanation of what the cause could be, or possible ways to relieve it. One month later, I received a 1,600$ bill in the mail for the testing. I still have no idea of what could be wrong and I've found more answers on google. Really disappointed that I had to spend so much money to not get answers.
