Let us help you achieve the skin you've always wanted. As a native Oregonian who practices adult, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Aanderud is ready for any challenge you bring him. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Maintaining healthy skin is important! We glance at our skin every day, but it isn't until something becomes irritated or obvious that we become concerned. Self-examination of the skin is definitely the first line of defense. However, scheduling a full-body skin evaluation is a smart way to prevent small issues from becoming much more serious.

I had the great good fortune to have Dr. Karl Vance, MD remove a large basal cell carcinoma from my face in the Hillsborough Office on June 8th. Dr. Vance is new to the practice, and his background is outstanding, especially in Mohs surgery. Not only did he explain the cancer, and describe the procedure, but he put me at ease. The whole process went smoothly, and took less than 3 hrs. Stitches came out a week later, and I am sorry I didn't get to see hm then to thank him for his excellent work.!

After the swelling and redness have gone down, I am amazed that no one will ever know it was done by looking at my face! I highly recommend Dr. Vance to anyone needing Mohs Surgery. We are lucky to have him here to care for our needs. Thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, Ruth L.

Unfortunately, I had to wait 2 months for an apt. I was randomly rescheduled to a different location because the doctor decided to take a vacation. They didn't notify me. When I showed up at the correct location, they were closed. Terrible experience.

I was surprised to see all the negative reviews, because my visit was very pleasant. The front office staff was nothing but professional & courteous. Dr Aanderud was very attentive - he listened to all of my issues carefully, and explained my issues & solutions w/o rushing through them.

GoodSkin Dermatology might be a great place for cosmetic procedures, but if you're looking for skin cancer check/skin check any type of routine care DO NOT GO HERE. I decided to try this place out because my usual practice was scheduled so far out, I just got the bill back from my insurance company and was charged $234. Called insurance and they confirmed they were "in network" and were like "oh they probably didn't bill correctly, should be preventative care." easy fix. so called GoodSkin and was told "they don't do preventative care." It wasn't a mix up, they literally don't do preventative care. so my visit, even though we literally just did a skin check. I'm talking 15min in the room, which a couple close looks at a mole and that's NOT preventative care.

I scheduled an appointment for an annual exam, something that took my previous dermatologist about 45 minutes to complete. This time, the doctor sprayed a couple of places on my forehead, then left without even looking at my back where most of the trouble areas are. I felt cheated and will definitely look for another dermatologist who is more interested in the individual patient and not the number of people he can see in an hour. A. L.

Seemed fine for my minor skin issues. I got two txt messages, each asking for different amounts to pay for service. After calling them, no explanation was given why they are different, just that the more expensive amount was the bill. They didn't seem to have the records to see what happened or were not being transparent about why.

It took me 3 months to even get a appointment and after that long of a wait for a severe eczema flare up ran right in and out under 15 minutes and no help just a prescriptions that's does not work and just told moisturize more thanks and the bill 200 plus real bummer

Good skin dermatology was very fast and friendly. It was nice not having to wait for our appointment. The doctor and her assistant were both very friendly and the environment is very clean and inviting.

Wow, fantastic service, I was amazed how fast I was seen by the Dr and staff. No waiting in the waiting room or exam room like most Dr office visits. They were all very professional and answered all my questions. I was in snd out in a half hour.

Just got off the phone with Tracy, one of Goodskin's scheduler and wanted to let everyone (especially her boss!) know how good she is at her job. Tracy was very personable, attentive, communicated clearly and took down all pertinent information in a timely fashion. Even though the referral from my primary wasn't organized in her regular queue she was able to quickly navigate the other possible channels where it was hiding and got my appointment scheduled efficiently.

Anyone supervising Tracy would be well advised to acknowledge her talents and provide further opportunities for growth and investment in her future at Goodskin Dermatology. d:)

Went in to get some non benign cysts on my face removed. Quick and efficient, friendly staff, great doctor. I love that the doctor showed me how I can remove them myself next time if I am comfortable doing it. Of I need a dermatologist again I will definitely be back.

$400.00 bill for 6 minutes with a PA to look at a benign growth on my face. She did spray it so it would fall off.

I have been going to goodskin for at least 3-4 years. I have had two skin cancer surgeries on my face. I get comments on how good my surgeries turned out. I have been having follow up visits every 6 months. All the doctors i have seen there are very caring, they listen completely and always have helpful suggestions and treatments. I wouldn't go anywhere else

Dr A has always been great when I see him for my yearly skin cancer checks. Now I need to see him for something else. Before I could continue on with a medication for my auto immune disease, I had to check with the dermatologist to see if this skin condition was related to the medication. I called to make an appointment in early July and was told they can't see me anymore, that Medicaid only let me see them once.

I called my insurance and was told otherwise. I made an appointment for late July. The day before the appointment they called me saying they needed a referral from my doctor before I could be seen. My doctor was on vacation so had to cancel the appointment. They finally received the referral so, made a new appointment for early August. Low and behold, they called me the day before to tell me they never got the referral!

I called and left a message with the doctors referral coordinator and then I remembered that Goodskin wouldn't have made the appointment before receiving that referral so I called to tell the desk staff that. This gal was real nice and said we'll go ahead and see you. In the meantime I receive a message from my doctor telling me that they've now sent the referral to them 3 times and to tell them to contact them for it in the future.

And guess what.the two doctors are on the same floor of the same building, next door to each other! I am left feeling like because I'm on Medicaid, they didn't want to see me (I'm substandard). Not to mention, I've had to be off this medication now for over a month and I'm miserable with pain and stiffness and have no energy, needlessly. Will be looking for another dermatologist, just because of the front office staff!

Confused about these other reviews, I've been to this office 3 times now and they're always very friendly and personable with me. I arrive 3-5 minutes before my appointments, they get me checked in and I'm back with the doctor within 10 minutes. The appointments are quick but there's no need to drag them out. We discuss my treatment and any adjustments I need and I'm out within 20 minutes. I'm also amazed by the results of the treatment. Which is for my acne I've been struggling with for 13 years, it's finally clearing up. Thank you Goodskin Hillsboro location!

I called to find out if they were taking new patient and spoke with a rude and argumentative receptionist who was not helpful in the least. Her attitude seemed to be that there is no way that I understand my own insurance and that they do things differently than other medical places. While they may be do things differently, rudeness and disrespect is not professional. Do not recommend.

They run late. Then rush you in and out. You feel like you're an inconvenience to them. Then they try to over charge you. I gave them a second chance but I'm done.

I have had several great experiences at Goodskin Dermatology. Nate has been a great provider. I have not trouble getting an appointment scheduled at my convenience. The staff has been warm and welcoming each visit.

Easy in and out. Convenient check in, the staff is friendly and the doctor, Nathan, was kind and took his time. I felt taken care of and my skin is better for visiting this office. Yelp says I have to write more to leave a review, so I will add that I was seen 5 minutes before my appointment, unexpected at when I go to the doctor.

Awful. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. I had trouble finding the office and when I called it was a recording. And the doctors stood outside my room for 15 minutes talking and laughing about my being late because I couldn't find it. Then the doctor treated me like I was stupid. Unprofessional to say the least. I will be telling people not to come here. Horrible customer service.

I arrived on time and still waited for about 10 mins to be seen. Staff isn't the most friendliest and welcoming and I felt rushed through the appt and wasn't able to get all my questions answered. I was in the examination room and out in about less than 5 mins. They don't seem to care to listen to anything you have to say and just went in to look at your skin, say a few things about your condition, give you a handout to read, a few samples, your prescription, and you're out. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience. Wouldn't recommend this place!
