Services
Newborns are not little adults, nor even little children. They are changing every day, physiologically and developmentally, and we approach them and the family with this in mind. We will see you a few times in the hospital, and a few days after discharge as well. During the first few weeks of life, we monitor all systems frequently, to assess these changes and make sure that everything is perfect. By two months of age, we see you monthly up until their birthday. A lot is going on, and we keep on top of it all.
We are able to perform most testing anddiagnostic studies your child will need during their visit. Our Lab is fully certified, and we have additional computerized hearing/vision screens, EKG's for sports physicals, quick rapid diagnostic testing for strep and flu, just to name a few things we do. Please see below for more information.
Darlene, with us since the start of Kids Care Pediatrics, is both our Practice Manager and Accounts Receivable Guru. She is the one responsible for making sure that our billings go out, and the patients come in. If you need to reach Darlene, either call the office or email her @ bills@kids-care.com.
Appointments for routine problems, preventative care physical exams, and follow-ups are available on the schedule below. We try to see all patients on an appointment basis. We therefore request that you call in advance so that we can reserve time for you. The schedule is such that we make every effort to honor all time commitments as we feel that your time is as important as ours is. On occasion, emergencies can cause problems, and we will make every effort to inform you if there will be any delays.

Dr Luk is my kids' doctor. She is sooo nice and humble. Always willing to help, engage with kids. I am always very satisfied after consult with her. And staff is also very helpful. I only wait little long once because I had no appointment but I had to go but the staff manage me in between very cooperatively.

Been going to Kids Care for 12 years. Dr Cogan was our doctor at first and after he passed away we transitioned to Dr Silberstein. We have also been seeing Dr Luk on occasion and i have nothing bad to say. They exceed expectation at all times. They are patient and kind and the receptionist always have a welcoming smile. My son will continue going until they say no more. Thank you to the best pediatrics in Lynbrook.

Dr. Cogan was a very kind doctor who not only solved most of your problems but made you forget you even had any to begin with. When I entered the office from an age younger than middle school I was met with a family environment. When I left at the age of 20 I left the same family environment. Though I changed it didn't. They both are amazing doctors who seemed to love what they did/do. It was very sad when Dr. Cogan passed away. I feel fortunate to have them both as doctors in the past.

Dr Cogan retired on July 31st 2012 if I knew than what I know now I would not recommend Dr Cogan he left his practice and did not recommend a doctor for my child who will be 18 in November 2012 I do not recommend Dr Silberstein he is extremely slow I have waited 2 hours for my son to be seen. There were only 2 other patients in the office.
