Services
Two radiologists, Drs. D.J. McCulloch and W.F. Lindsey, formed the partnership of Radiology Associates of Tallahassee, P.A. in 1961. Over the past 60+ years, the practice has expanded to over 20 nationally board-certified radiologists who sub-specialize in all areas of diagnostic and interventional radiology.
When a nodule is detected, imaging tests may be performed to help determine if it is benign or cancerous. If imaging studies cannot clearly define the abnormality, a biopsy may be necessary. Our radiologists and staff are trained to make this procedure as comfortable and quick as possible. A needle biopsy can be performed with local anesthetic and minimal discomfort.
Ultrasound is safe and painless, and produces pictures of the inside of the body using sound waves. Ultrasound examinations do not use ionizing radiation (as used in x-rays), thus there is no radiation exposure to the patient. Breast ultrasound is a non-invasive tool used to evaluate specific, often palpable areas of concern - such as a breast lump felt by a patient or physician and an area of concern seen on a mammogram. Breast ultrasound does not replace the need for mammography. Mammogram images are still needed to evaluate the entire breast.
Mammography screening is the only method that is consistently proven to reduce breast cancer deaths. We are the only facility in the area to be granted the distinguished Breast Imaging Center of Excellence seal. Current medical guidelines recommend screening mammography every year for women, beginning at age 40.

I had a visit at Radiology Associates of Tallahassee for an xray in March. I was overcharged for the visit by $63.05. I received the EOB from my insurance company in early April. At that time, I contacted the billing dept to request a refund. I spoke to Paul who initiated the process for the refund. In May, I called them again and spoke to Rem who said refunds take 30-45 days to process.
I called them again June 13 and spoke to someone else in the Chinese call center who said that the refund was was processed but she does not see the payment info and will call me back. I called back and spoke to someone from the Spanish option. The young lady said that the refund has not been processed but she will follow up to make sure it is. At this point, I called my insurance company and filed a complaint against Radiology Associates.

I went here to the Women's Imaging area for an ultrasound of our baby. My husband went with me to my first appointment and they brought him back to see the baby when it was time. Well the second ultrasound appointment I went to, I told the lady doing my ultrasound that my husband was out front(which they told me to tell them when I got to the room).
She told me he couldn't come back due to company policy which I know isn't true because he went back with me two to three weeks before that appointment. I even left a message with the head ultrasound tech to talk to her about what happened and no one has still called me back to discuss this matter. This is our first baby after many years of trying and my husband missed the heartbeat because of this ultrasound tech.

My appointments were wonderful everything went as planned. How when it comes to getting a refund because I was overcharged is a nightmare. Because they overcharged me my HSA is cutting off my benefits. I have been calling for over a month and no one has called me back or left a message. I left full details so they can tell me when it would be resolved.
But still nothing. I drove to the facility and was told I need to speak to th he finance person I called the number and received another voicemail. I have been waiting for nearly an hour. I asked the young lady at the front desk if the finances person was at lunch and was advised That she didn't know, but did not offer to find out.

Usually, I have a great experience here. Sometimes the wait can be long but they are great at communicating that. The staff is always very knowledgeable and considerate and the technicians are great; however, today I had a completely different experience. I already have a broken foot and I'm walking around in a boot and using a cane. I called because in the notes it says "call and make an appointment." So I call and tell them that I'm getting an X-ray of my OTHER knee and ask if I can make an appointment.
She said e no but their open until 6 snd just to come in and wait. I asked if I'm allowed to bring daughter (knowing I probably can't but trying to see if they'd let me since husband is postcall and can help by watching my daughter) she said no but to just come right and get the X-ray done and just head in JUST TO FIND OUT THEY STOP DOING X-RAYS AT 5:00PM!
The lady on the phone never mentioned this and I get there at 5:20 and Hall and I am told that I'm out of luck and have to come back another day because the machines have been turned off. So now I have to find another day and find someone to watch my daughter to the wait forever to get my x-rays done. It would've taken two extra seconds for the lady on the phone to tell me that I need to be there by 5 PM for x-rays there's nothing on their website is it mention this. It was just utterly ridiculous.

Very bad customer experience. I received a letter from a collection company in the amount of $28. I had never received this bill before, so I first contacted the insurance company and they said they never received this bill either so there was no question of rejection. I then contacted the billing department of Radiology Associates of Tallahassee and found out that my address and insurance information was wrong.
I was told that they would send a bill to the insurance company and withdraw this collection. But it has been more than 10 days and the collection has not been withdrawn even I was told that they will pull back the collection. This is clearly their own fault, they should pull back the collection not temporarily hold it when they are waiting the process of insurance. Also a lot time on this issue.

I was able to schedule and receive an appointment within a week. My appointment was scheduled for 5:00pm and I had to arrive 20 minutes sooner to check in and complete paperwork and I was leaving out the door at 5pm. Fast service and the person who did my mammogram made me feel comfortable. Thank you!
