I would give this hospital zero stars if I could. The staff is rude and incompetent. You can't ask them anything because they look annoyed. And if the nurse isn't under your care she will simply ignore you or like what happened to me: yell at you and tell you that she wasn't your nurse for simply asking how long test results usually take.

When my mom was there, the rn also almost injected the wrong medication. Thank God my dad demanded for them to double check. And that's cause she was in an intensive care unit. I hate this hospital, if you're in weslaco I suggest you go to the smaller hospitals like South Texas ER or Valley Baptist Micro Hospital. They will be transferred to Harlingen or McAllen but trust me, the miles don't matter when you know your loved one and/or you are getting better help than Knapp ever could give. I don't recommend this hospital at all! I'm surprised how they're still even open.

I choose this hospital expecting everything to go smoothly and it wasn't all like that If you're an expecting mom don't choose this hospital some of the staff is difficult to communicate with and even RUDE I waited 5 hrs to get a room (when my water had already broken) No one really updates you on anything The nurses were fine but the day I got discharged (5/21/22) 3rd floor from the hospital the nurses assistant who discharged me out was SARCASTIC AND RUDE!

She wanted us to carry our baby in hand and to move out of the ER entrance FAST "just incase of an emergency " THERE WAS NO ONE BUT US AT THAT MOMENT She was more interested in flirting with the security (she wasn't professional at all) I would think the hospital hires professional staff I guess anybody can work there To expecting mom's your better off somewhere else.

Great hospital, just that the ER lobby is extremely hot. Would give 5 stars but the AC temperature is bad in the ER specially for summer that's coming up. Update, the AC feels so much better now

My mother was taken the by ambulance, admited 4/25-4/27 because she had really bad chest pain, difficulty breathing, headaches, BP and glucose issues. She has exams and test done but alot of bad service from CNAs to Dr's. They had here there and discharged her when she still didn't feel well. She did complain to floor staff and they told her she was okay and she was going to be dismissed.

Over all a very bad experience and swrvice from this hospital. It's so sad how it's changed over the years, 80% of the staff there is super rude and if you need assistance in anything they get upset. Never going there again.

Traveling through Texas in our motorhome my wife had a severe shingles attack. We were quickly and cordially booked in at the emergency Center. Waited only 15 minutes before being greeted by the medical staff. They examined her and answered all our questions. They gave her a prescription. The Doctor and Nurses seemed very competent and all were very pleasant.

The Hospital was very clean. We can really say that we were well treated and we thank them. Before going I read the reviews and was a little concerned about the negative reviews. Of course when one is suffering it's easy to be negative and more apt in writing a negative review. One must keep in mind that doctors are not magicians and do their best, healing is not spontaneous or guaranteed.

Everyone at Knapp provided excellent treatment. They saved my life. And a wonderful doctor, Rose Marie, motivated me to take better care of my health.

Fiance has been vomiting constantly unable to retain fluids, fever, and no food in her system. Almost passing out in the lobby. Emergency wait time was 3 hours. In a stand alone ER took her in less than 20 min. Hospital should be more reliable.

Not having much experience with hospital stays since 1972, I'm probably not qualified to offer an opinion here. The medical staff seemed competent and caring except for the ones who gathered in hallways shrieking with laughter and loud conversation. It was not uncommon to be 2 hours without anyone coming to see if I needed anything. I did not have a call button available to me for the first several hours of my stay. Also, bright lights precluded any "good" sleep. I'm in no hurry to pay another visit.

Sadly I didn't have the best experience here. I went in an ambulance cause I was having chest pain I had a lot of sharp pain and pressure on my Chest and over all I didn't feel well because I have Covid. They always say if you have chest pain or pressure especially for long periods of time to call 911. I did just that and ended up regretting it. The doctor I had was very rude and mean she was insinuating that my pain was all in my head.

I already expected that from her since I get that often from medical professionals when I let them know anxiety is part of my medical history which is why I withhold that information for that very reason. She was also scolding me and wondering why I went in an ambulance. I understand medical professionals are going through a lot right now, but it doesn't mean they should take it out on their patience.

The doctor didn't help the way I felt not only was I scared of being in the hospital with Covid and worried about what was wrong with my chest she was actually just triggering my anxiety when she was getting after me. If I wasn't feeling sick I would of got up and just left or told her something, but I had no energy in me at the time. The doctor just made me feel stupid for even going to the hospital.

I felt like I was just wasting her time. The nurses were very quiet when they put me in so it made me feel uncomfortable. After I did the X-ray of my chest and I waited for results the nurse came in and told me to just take ibuprofen for the inflammation. They didn't tell me what was inflamed or anything. The doctor didn't come back to explain anything.

I'm still unaware and just confused. I asked if my X-ray was okay and the nurse just said "yes otherwise she wouldn't Be sending you home" but like what was inflamed? It just wasn't the best experience here.

My nurse monique from labor and recovery on 3rd floor was the best! She was very nice and helping during the 3 day recovery of my csection. Overall my stay went really well.

Just had a family emergency that was handled by this hospital, and the security staff made the whole situation horrible and added to the stress of the situation. Very rude security at the ER that made it very difficult to see our loved one. The medical staff was great and very helpful and accommodating. They were the saving grace of this hospital. Security was extremely rude to stressed families AND to other members of hospital staff!

Watch out for Joseph, the security guard with a god complex working the ER entrance on Sunday, 31 January at around 1400 hours. He'll tell you, as a parent to a minor patient, that you can't leave to get food. You either have to starve, eat the mystery meal from the hospital cafeteria (which you have to pay for upon delivery and its GROSSLY overpriced), or order from Doordash and pay extra for delivery.

Despite me, the father of a minor patient, coming and going all weekend (Friday and Saturday) to get meals, he's the only one to give me any issues upon my return (with bags of food in hand, mind you.) I understand there are some COVID precautions in place but hassling a dad trying to feed himself and his daughter is just ridiculous.

I was recently a patient at this hospital and it was the best hospital I have to in a long time. The ER was very efficient in diagnosing my condition, starting IVs and making me comfortable until a room was ready. When I was moved to a room within minutes a Doc was there and he was outlining a plan to get me well. All the doctors assigned to my case were very professional talked in way that I understood. The rest of the Rn etc went way beyond what was required if I could give this hospital 20 I certainly would. By the way I'm 87 years old and hard to please.

Horrible hospital! ALL MEDICAL STAFF we came in contact with were rude. It was impossible to get any answers about test results, and when asked about them the patient was treated HORRIBLY. It was dirty and many areas seemed more than unsanitary. Security was a joke and we couldn't find him half the time to let us in! Please if you are having a baby AVOID this place! If you're hurt and need help drive to Mexico you will get better care!

Delivered both my babies at Knapp, the second one just yesterday. The nursing and support staff were so welcoming, attentive, and handled every situation with urgency! Thank you Knapp Medical Center for taking care of my family.

I'm a combat veteran that was in a car accident, I was treated horribly, this is by far the worst experience i have ever had. They have no compassion and treat you like you don't matter. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! this place sucks beyond comprehension

My wife went to labor here and the facility is a great place the only thing is when they put her the epidural shot for the contractions they put it on wrong and it numbed all her body so they had to wait till it wore off to try it again and not to mention right after it wore off she was delivering already so she basically didn't have the epidural to help her, but aside from that the staff was helpful and the if it wasn't for that situation I would rate a 4/5 star
