Rude, dishonest. They ran two tests when I exicitly asked for only the cheaper one. I was charged the full value for an in-person visit, even though I was never seen but only talked to a nurse on the phone for less than 5 minutes, and then charged me for both the rapid and long culture tests despite my specifically asking for only the rapid test. When I challenged them on it, they insisted that the nurse and provider claimed to have done did the rapid test first and then did the culture one because I had asked for that one, which is untrue. They refused to consider that they were wrong. They are incredibly dishonest, and I will be considering any possible alternative options to their office in the future.

Wait on hold 30 minutes to finally reach a person. Hope that person is competent enough to assist you appropriately (don't hold your breath). Be seen by the medical staff who is competent. A few days later realize the inept receptionist misquoted you for the cost. Wait on hold another 30 minutes to relay the error. Billing explains that the inept receptionist was wrong, and now my cost is double what I was quoted.
The blatant misinformation by the receptionist is now my responsibility to pay. Lucky me (sarcasm). Call back and wait on hold another 30 minutes. Finally reach Victoria Herrera from billing who explains that I'm wrong, the receptionist mis-quoted me, and I'm responsible for this unexpected total. No point in expressing my prior situation, I'm wrong, Victoria is right.
She offered to contact "quoting" and get back to me tomorrow. Tomorrow come and goes, and no call from Victoria. I call back the following day, no answer, I leave a message. Waiting, waiting, no response. I call again and leave a message. Lucky Victoria. It's Friday. She doesn't have to worry about me til Monday. I'm doubtful I will hear back at all. I guess it's time to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

The competence of this hospital measures up to that of a grape. I've been repeatedly hung up on and rejected for crucial medication. I've been denied referrals for surgery and any sort of assistance in insurance issues. Dr. Rodgers is especially unhelpful and quite rude during check ins and walk ins. I have not had a satisfactory experience at this clinic in months and I will be changing providers as soon as possible.

The whole medical staff here has always been the best at actually listening to and solving my medical issues for a decade now. The staff never makes it difficult for me to make an appointment and are always friendly when checking me in. When I lived out of state for a while I would sometimes schedule visits here when I visited home, even though it was out of network for me at the time, because it was worth someone actually listening and helping me instead of blowing me off, like most other clinics I have been to. I have had good experiences with multiple doctors, PAs, and nurses here. Highly recommend.

I do not usually post reviews, but as a medical professional, I feel the need to share my experience, especially when I live in an affluent community and expect a certain standard of care. A few weeks ago, I visited the walk-in clinic. I know not to expect much from a walk-in appointment. I had a fever, cough, congestion, chills and sweats, fatigue, and an elevated resting HR.
The CNP in charge of my case wanted to send me home with a z-pac when I had only been symptomatic for a little over 48 hours. I asked if I could be tested for the flu based on my symptoms, and the fact that I had a few family members who had the flu this year. She reluctantly tested me. Positive. I asked for tamiflu, and she said it would not help because I've been symptomatic for 5 days.
I repeated my timeline for symptoms, and she once again reluctantly prescribed me the tamiflu, but said it probably wouldn't help. She asked what pharmacy, and I gave her Smiths LA. Left my appointment. 2 hours later, prescription has not been called in. (Note to self: always get a paper prescription, do not let them offer an "escript" that they are supposed to email in.). 5 hours later I call MANNM to figure out where my prescription is, and no one knows, and state that the CNP hasn't put it in yet.
My husband goes to MANNM to figure out what is going on. Turns out my prescription was sent to Nambe drug, even though no one could seem to tell me that over the phone. So. I completely managed my own case, and get a $50 bill in the mail for the flu test. I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable, and unfortunately not the first time or the first clinic in Los Alamos that has completely mismanaged my care.
I've lived here my whole life, and once upon a time, we had good medical care here. What happened? I've spoken with multiple friends and colleagues who have moved here from out of state, and they are shocked at our medical care, and state that it ABSOLUTELY is not like this everywhere.

I've been going here for years. My primary is here and I have also visited the walk-in clinic numerous times. The doctors are fantastic, always. They spend a lot of time with you and really care. You can tell they love what they're doing and see you as a person, not just a number. There is one receptionist (male) that has been pretty rude on multiple occasions but it's such a small thing when you consider the level of service you're getting from the physicians. Highly recommend!

Absolutely do NOT recommend this group if you have any options! Waiting already 2+ hours for appt made several months ago. Arrived 20 minutes early for appointment but there was evidently confusion in the business office re: insurance as I'm a new patient. By the time that was sorted it was 10 minutes after my scheduled time so I am now relegated to waiting room purgatory for already going on 2+ hours. all the while other patients for the same doctor are being seen immediately. There should be some accountability that the back office didn't have the ducks in a row and not force additionally inconvenience on the patient/customer.
