I am fuming. My daughters nail was ripped off from being smashed in a door. If they could of just given her 20 minutes of time she could of been done. Instead she was there for 4 hours. She was supposed to have the numbing cream on for 15 minutes. They made her wait for an hour and half in pain with this cream that was bothering her. Everything said how important it was to hurry and fix the nail bed for it might cause deformities or the nail may never grow back at all. (Her wedding finger) They also mentioned it to us, but yet it took them FOUR HOURS to fix my 3 year olds finger.

This is not the first, nor second but the 3rd time I have had a negative experience causethey do not care about your wait time or constantly skipping you. Coming in and out instead of just doing it. I've never had this type of frustration with 3 other hospitals I've been too. Gritman is terrible business. All you can hear while your there is the nurses chatting it up while you wonder why no one cares.

The care my family received when we had our baby at Gritman was great minus the unethical covid rules they had. No family members were allowed to join us during this monumental time. They wouldn't even let me walk the newborn outside to see his doting grandparents. I'm leaving this low review because of how unhelpful the facility is when it comes to volunteering and shadowing for pre-med students.

You'd think that Gritman would love so many students wanting to shadow and help out. I've gone in person multiple times, been given phone numbers and emails, all to no avail. For months I've tried every possible form of contact simply to be met with a brick wall. What gives, Gritman? Why not support your local students while receiving free volunteers? I reached out to Pullman Regional and St. Joe's and got in immediately! Please take notes from the other hospitals-such unprofessionalism really makes you look bad.

Had doctors orders for EKG and two blood test. Went in I have the two blood draws and left because I was told the EKG orders were not there. An hour later I got a call saying one of the blood draws needed to be redone at my convenience. The day I decided to do that re-blood draw I called the hospital to ask if the EKG doctor's orders were there and they said yes.

This was about 7 AM so about 9:30 AM I come in for the EKG and 2nd blood draw and now the EKG orders cannot be found. Eventually I got all the doctors orders taken care of which took over a period of several days. Gritman has a reputation for losing doctors orders. From now on I'll drive the extra miles to Pullman.

Very impressed and happy with their quality of care. The nurses and therapy staff on the 2nd floor are the best. They went out of their way to help my husband after his knee surgery and they put up with his stubbornness. Thank you

I had a missed miscarriage recently (baby had no heartbeat in the ultrasound) and I had to have a D&C and when I woke up from my surgery crying my nurse Kara was so kind to me! I had to spend 3 days in Gritman and I can not thank Dr. Kusko enough for how kind she was. She checked on me twice a day and all the nurses in the family birthing center were amazing! They treated me not only as a friend but like family. Also the lab techs who had to draw blood did an awesome job in not making it hurt!

I've had strep throat before, so I had a feeling I had it again and decided to go and get checked out. 1, the only doctor that would see me was in ER (overkill for this situation). The nurse that saw me first was very cold and uncaring about my experience, and the doctor was no better. He asked the question: 'so your condition isn't life threatening?'.

Like sir. What kind of question is that. Despite my throat pain, the tests came back negative and I was discharged which I questioned. Woke up the next morning with tonsils swollen and throat almost closed. Went to the quickcare clinic instead. They asked me how did the hospital even choose to discharge me in my throat condition. Still don't know. Would love an answer.

(In regards to the Emergency Room) Honestly just really saddens me to hear that my partner had to wait 5 hours for a simple procedure while they are skipped by people who came in long after them. Not bleeding, not in pain, but somehow they get cared for first even after asking for assistance (really any communication) several times. I understand with Covid-19 there are less beds available but the behavior that's happening with patients is unacceptable.

It's just disrespectful not only to patients but to medical providers who came into the field for a purpose as there appears to be no level of urgency or regard for patient care.

I'm a COVID long-hauler of 18 months now. Diagnosed with ME/CFS and potential POTS from the virus. Woke up on day 8 of the illness with my whole body numb and my heart was racing 140+. Severe heart palpitations as well as hypnic jerks while trying to fall asleep. Parents rushed me to the ER and we advised them I was COVID positive. They sent me away and said I was just having a panic attack. Now 18 months later, I'm still just as sick now as I was then. They didn't even bother to try to help. Will never return; this sort of laziness and apathy is disgraceful.

I have always received great care at Gritman. The ER does take a while (usually 3 hours) but they give you snacks if you're in a room. The birth center tho. Chefs kiss. From intake to baby born, I had a nurse I knew I could trust. Joni held my hand all the way up until I was put to sleep. It was an emergent c-section. And the treatment I was given afterwards for 4 days made me feel like I was truly cared for.

On my last night, they prepared a gourmet meal of our choice and brought in a table and candles for my husband and I to enjoy while they cared for my son. Med surge was also good to work with when my youngest was admitted in 2017 with rsv at only 3 weeks old. For 13 days they watched him around the clock. Giving him a 24 hour nurse so that I could sleep and take a shower while I also cared for him.

They treated my child well when there was a mental health crisis and we never felt pushed or forced to make a decision. Wound care clinic is a little weird. The bed face the door and if you have a wound in a not so nice spot on the body and it's being examined, and then someone walks in, you're kinda in a bad position. They see everything. It's. Embarrassing.

Same day surgery is always pleasant, usually on time, but quick and to the point. Get them in and get them out. The nurses and cnas are pleasant and have jokes and the doctors are professional. At least the ones we've seen. All the posts on here giving low stars are people who refuse to wear a mask and who don't understand that as a small hospital in an under vaccinated area, people are taking up all the beds who have covid. So the rest of the population has to wait. And the food ain't bad. Considering.

They treated my 6 year old so good! He had to get 2 Staples in his head and they were absolutely fantastic! I have been in my fair share of hospitals and I was so impressed with how quick they were and how they handled everything. He didn't even cry when they did it and made him feel so part of the process and I can't say how grateful I am enough times!
