Visited in September to receive my COVID-19 VACCINATION and was struck by the overall professionalism and courtesy of all the staff I encountered -from the front desk clerks and janitorial service- to the nurse who administered my vaccine. Specifically, I'd like to point out everyone's general adherence to PROPER mask-wearing, the calm, quiet atmosphere within the facility, as well as the deliberate way staff seemed to keep their voices low to avoid others overhearing anyones' private health information.
These simple things, while perhaps sometimes unnoticed by others - contribute to putting people at ease when visiting the hospital- and deserve recognition in such chaotic and difficult times. Thank you, CVH staff for "going the distance" for your patients on EVERY visit. Kristi M. Soto, RN

We found it very difficult to find a way to get into the individual care system when we first moved to the area of Kamiah. We went to three other hospitals in the system trying to get signed up with a health care provider only to be told that no one would see us until they had our records. We finally got Kamiah clinic to send for our records, then we were permitted access to a doctor.
There needs be some training for the Kamiah personnel in the area of " people skills". Those that we talked with would not listen to a complete sentence until they heard a.buzzzword.that triggered them into thinking up something to say in return, leaving the rest of a comment from us as not heard or understood. The key to good communication is.listening to a complete statement without interuption.

This hospital was amazing. My husband was admitted and had to stay for two days. They let me sleep in the other bed in his room. They fed me every meal the same as his. When he showered they let me shower after. Every single employee there was extremely nice and helpful! The Dr's were amazing too! Best hospital we've ever been to! They spoiled us to the max! :

I entered the hospital at morning shift change, 7 am, and was one of 3 patients! I was in extreme side pain and was seeking answers as to why! The ER physician could not keep his eyes open while interviewing me of my complaints! When I realized I was seeing the whites of his eyes I stopped talking and he kept sleeping! A nurse came in asking for him later and was told that he was at the clinic!
He is the ONLY ER DOCTOR THERE to care for me and other patients! I left around 5:00 pm with a prescription and a doctor's appointment with my doctor and ZERO ANSWERS! Useless and extremely expensive waste of a day! Drive to Lewiston!

I could not be happier with my experience at CVHC. I went to CVHC for my prenatal, labor and delivery, and continue to take our daughter there. Throughout my pregnancy, every interaction with any and all staff was a positive one. I continue to receive great care from doctors and nurses that are caring, understanding, and knowledgable.

Went in to get my leg looked at because it had been numb for hours on end no matter what I did, doctor was rude and was belittling and acted like I was stupid. All he did was poke at my leg and told me it was a compressed nerve. 10 minutes in and out. Then I just got my bill. 772 dollars. 772 DOLLARS! AFTER INSURANCE! Blue cross! How the hell do they get away with this theivery!
For two pokes of the leg! Didn't even run any tests! Not even a thorough analysis! And yet I get stuck with a 772 dollar bill?!? Ridiculous. Don't care if I'm dead, dying, or bleeding, I'd rather die than be in crippling debt thanks to these thieves.

Amazing ED staff! Last weekend we were in a 4 wheeler accident and the entire staff was phenomenal. Special thanks to our RN ( I cannot remember his name but we had both he and his wife involved in our care, and thanks to Jessica ( you will be a great nurse). And also Dr Blunt, who spent a long time sewing up my friend face, excellent work. Thanks to all of you from us. Cindy, Candy and Shelly.
