Im not positive if her name was Jessie or maybe Jessica I know she drives a bright orange Camaro I was unable to get a Uber and it was taking a longer time she came and asked me if I found a ride she said she wasn't going to leave me there she said she was going to pull me to other end of the walk way and take me home I thanked her but said that was sweet but I needed some one to take me to Colton's to pick up dinner she said no problem she in my opinion went above and beyond I'm going for a 5 star employee of week or month. Money hungry for sure my services will no longer take place here for sure. All the women at the front desk just stare at you like you don't belong at this clinic. I can't address all four or five of You. You have to wear a mask, they ensure the clinic is clean but hair all over the exam chairs. So over this location

I've been looking for a good eye doctor in this area for months! I'm one of those people who look at reviews for EVERYTHING, and I just decided to take a chance with this office. I'm glad I did! The staff was helpful, and Dr. Burroughs was AMAZING. He and his assistant (my apologies for not knowing her title) made me feel comfortable and right at home!
His energy was everything! He made a few jokes during the exam, while still providing information about the health of my eyes in terms that I could easily understand. He let me know of his concerns, and what he's going to do to resolve the issue. A week and a half later, I got my glasses today and these have to be the BEST PAIR I've received from any optometrist in my 15 years of wearing prescription glasses. Everything was so clear, bright, I can even read fine print without a problem. Long story short, try it out for your self!

Dr Steele and the entire staff at Simmons Eye Care are always so friendly and very helpful! I went in for my annual checkup and my eyes were so incredibly bad I needed an extra strong prescription that was three times as strong as my last checkup. I ordered my new prescription through them but then in the meantime while the lenses were being made at the lab I found out I was diabetic and my blood sugar was dangerously high numbers.
When the numbers are uncontrolled and high it causes swelling in the blood vessels and behind the fluid behind your eyes which in turn causes significant vision changes until you bring the numbers down and your vision returns to normal. That was the reason for my horrible vision at that check up. When I went in to pick up my new lenses they were blurry and the new prescription didn't work.
They told me that I could come back once my blood sugar had been in control for 30 days. It took 5 months to get my glucose under control. I just returned today for the recheck and they got the correct strengths for my new lenses and ordered for me. I'm so thankful that I did not have to pay for lenses twice! They were easy to work with and took care of everything for me! Couldn't ask for better treatment!

I went to Simmons Eye Care to switch from glasses to contacts. They ended up giving me one 30 day pair of contacts. Thirty days later I had not heard from them so I called to see if I could get more. I was told that they have to order my contacts because they don't keep them on hand. No one told me that. So here I am 30 days into a pair of 30 day contacts. Poor communication on their part. Not that they care. They have not responded to a negative review in 2 years.

I made an appointment over a month ago. I get there today for my appointment and I'm told that my insurance doesn't cover it, so I'll be out about a hundred dollars. I mention that I had made this particular appointment because my PCP said they'd take my insurance, and I made it over a month ago so I don't understand why they've waited until day of.
At which point the nurse informs me that they called me yesterday. What difference does it make? Yesterday I'd been waiting a month as well. Weird how I was able to call Dr. Hughes and get an appointment with no referral, and because of what happened at Simmons they went ahead and double checked my insurance, which will cover it as I have extreme medical need for glasses after a concussion several months ago.
So thanks, Simmons, for wasting my time. I've looked forward to getting glasses for a couple months now, and I was excited to use y'all because my grandmother was a long-time patient of Dr. Simmons. But now I wouldn't recommend y'all any more than I would try to auction off my own left butt cheek.

Read to end. At first when I came in for my appointment I was pleased. Everyone was nice, and pleasant. The doctor was AMAZING all around, and so were most of the staff. He was everything you want in a doctor. Smart, caring, professional, friendly, and even handsome. I was told it would take about 6 to 8 weeks for my contacts, and glasses to come in.
The doctor told me that if my trial pair of lenses were to get bad after the 6 weeks then I could call back to get a replacement. A few weeks after my appointment I called to see if I could buy a trial pair since I was going to the beach for the first time ever, and wanted to have a back up in case I were to get sand, or something in my eye. The assistants said no.
Today it has been TWO months since I put this pair of lenses in, and they're getting dry, and uncomfortable. I spend a lot of time outdoors. I called to see if my items were ready since no one had called me yet, and since my contacts are not ready I asked for a new trial pair like the doctor said I could get. An assistant tells me that she can't give me another pair because it can take months for my contacts to come in, and they cannot keep giving diagnostics out.
I guess she assumes I would want another in two months? I would understand if she had already given me a pair, or two extra, but I have recieved the ONE pair I left with TWO months ago. I came the day of my appointment to get contacts, and was prepared to pay cash. They informed me that my insurance would pay for them, and would only take 4 to 6 weeks.
If I had known it would take up to 6 months as she says then I would have payed cash, and got them that day. I should not have to change my lifestyle for 6 months to accommodate my contact lens provider. I do not like that my doctor tells me one thing, and then the front desk tells me something completely different. I would pay for the extra pair, that's not the problem.
I would highly reccomend the doctor himself, but the staff needs to work on uniformity, sticking more to what the doctor says, and valuing the patient. You get the sense that they think they are better than you. Like the feeling you got when you were in school, and someone was talking about youwhile you're sitting there. That's how they made me feel.

So, I was thinking of changing to this eye clinic bc I moved to Benton. But before I could make an appointment my eye glass frames broke in half on 8/28. My insurance won't cover it until September 12 at my annual visit. I found an old frame with same size lenses but I was unable to trade lenses out so I went to Simmons Eye on the fly and not even a patient yet.
The eyeglass technician happened to be outside. Her name is Renee. This dear sweet lady took both frames inside and had me wait in auto. In about 5 minutes she brought out my old frames with the lenses from the broken pair in them. Hallelujah! I can see now until I get my new yearly pair. I was wearing prescription shades indoors and it sucked. Renee went above and beyond to help a total stranger not even a patient there. Yet. I will be now. She won me over! Thank you Renee! Our normal eyeglass provider no longer took our insurance so we switched to here last year. I ordered replacement glasses from this place months ago. They told me that they did not know if the insurance would pay for a 2nd pair of glasses for a child in the same year. I realized that his yearly eye appointment was coming up so I called back and asked it the glasses were ordered.
They said no. They said the insurance never approved the glasses so they were never ordered. I said to cancel them and they agreed. They called me a few weeks later and said that the glasses were finally approved by the insurance and asked on the voicemail if I wanted them to order the glasses. I called back and said that I had already said to not order those glasses and do not order them.
My son goes to his yearly eye appointment. I call them to see when he can get new glasses with his new prescription. They told me that he had a pair waiting in the office. I asked them what they were talking about. It turns out after I told them twice to not order these glasses they did it anyway. I told them he could not use them. I told them to not order them two times and they had no right to order these after being told several times not to.
The lady said she was sorry but, if I didn't pick them up, she would just take them apart and trash them and bill the insurance anyway. To top it all off, my son has gone months without any glasses. Even after they ordered them and had them in their office, they never called me to tell me they had them. I decided at first that they just made a mistake and to keep using them so we went there to refill his new prescription and to pick up the old glasses which are basically trash since he has a new prescription.
We go up there during coranavirus. The sign on the door says to call the remain in the car and call the number. We call the number over and over at least 4-5 times in almost 15 minutes and it either just rings or is busy. Somewhere between 10-15 minutes of calling to say we are here for our appointment, the lady finally answers. I told her that we were not late.
They just wouldn't answer the phone. This lady was downright rude about it and it was not my fault we couldn't walk in. This place is rude and what they did with my son's glasses ought to be insurance fraud. When someone tells you not to order glasses under their insurance, you don't do it. When someone tells you twice to not order glasses under their insurance, you sure don't do it.
Once you order glasses that you were told twice to not order, you sure don't pretend like you didn't do it and not tell the person. There is no telling how many months my son's glasses sat in this office before I found out by calling them to get glasses under his new prescription. The worst part is he can barely read without them.
