Oh there's not enough room to describe what a joke this place is.but I'll try to fit it in. During my time I wasn't able to use my CPAP for a night that the machine was there (because there was no doctor's order), I had my $800 watch dropped and broken, received the least sincere "I'm sorry" from one of the techs about an issue, received numerous calls from friends and family I was not informed about, ate about 3 out of 25 meals (Food is virtually inedible), received no one on one therapy (which is insanity to me), was ordered medication without ever meeting the doctor, and the grand finale I was given a wrong medication because he "Just reached in the drawer and grabbed it." I was here for suicidal ideation and was here for 8 full days (I felt it was about 4-5 too long).
Bottom line is, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for care. Too much "not my problem" attitudes. One of the nurses was great and that's about all I can say for this place.

So. I recently went through some things and highland ridge is where I was placed. Pet me tell you there is some amazing and compassionate staff and Noah and Tina were some of the kindest people I ever met. Tip: bring brand new sealed cigarettes, amd don't bother with bringing your own hygiene because they have you use the stuff they give you in jail That has to be my only complaint. Other than that soda twice a day and the food isn't bad. Will most definitely come back in the future if needed.

I went here in 2017 against my will and left feeling worse and more crazy than I went in. The "professionals" didn't listen to anything I said. They were supposed to inform my psychiatrist at the time that I was in there but they didn't tell her until I was out. I was in there for 61 hours short of 2 weeks. Felt like cattle when they wanted you to do something and felt neglected the rest of the time.
There was a great nurse there that saved my sanity when the doctor started talking about emitting me into an asylum. Trying to sleep was the worst part of being there. No matter which side of the bed you were at you had the bright hallway lights shining in your face. I had to physically hurt my shoulder in order to sleep in my room. When I was at my breaking point a nurse suggested that I be allowed to sleep in a Isolation room since it wasn't being used and I was finally able to sleep. They get the one star only because that nurse was amazing. Otherwise I would have given the place no stars.

I'm a current employee and BHT and I have over 23 years of experience in healthcare. I can honestly say that I love my job and I show up for my patients and give them my all. Mental health facilities have their own set of challenges to keep patients and employees safe. I think that management truly works hard to make this a better place for patients and staff in these trying times. I work with many great Nurse's and Tech's and this is not an easy job but it's very rewarding place to work.

Out of 5. It was snowing and they would let me go and build a snowman cause I didn't have shoes.(the smoking area didn't have snow) I was going through a really difficult situation that was very stressful over Christmas break last year, I was placed here, and I was treated very well by them. The techs were very helpful to me and my situation, the therapist was just as communitive with me, and the kitchen staff were just a delight to speak with.
They gave me time to focus on myself as well as be able to participate in group therapy sessions like gym time (which has a rock wall and a basket ball court) as well as my favorite, arts and crafts/music time, each with valuable life lessons to learn that you can take home with you. The doctors were all great and willing to help me get the correct treatment plan and walk me through what was going on. The staff are good people And i would recommend this place to others. Thank you.

If you or someone you love is struggling do NOT send them here! I was here for 2 weeks I saw a therapist once & a doctor once! The techs do not care about your well being at all. The people there treat you like you are a prisoner. I was told that I couldn't have feminine hygiene because the tech was "busy" she was literally just sitting on her phone & was to lazy to get up & grab one simple thing for me.
Group therapy never happens so basically you just watch tv or color all day without getting any actual help. They put me on multiple medications without even telling me what they were! I highly recommend going anywhere else if you are struggling. My experience there did nothing to help me.

I had a good experience. They really took care of me here. The were slow to get me my belongings, but generally that's gonna be how it is no matter the facility. The staff was good, some we're a little condescending, which can be frustrating in a place where you're trying to get better, but I know it was unintentionally done. I wish they would offer a seminar or some training to their staff to help them avoid this and give them more knowledge about the people they're helping.
Regardless of if you like the staff, got your belongings quickly or couldn't have a hard copy book or not, you're going to get out what you put in and if you do the work it'll pay off. The silly rules are put in place for a reason what's relevant is that they're there to help get us better and keep us safe, so thank you to all the staff at Highland Ridge, and Thank you to Dr. Brown you gave me hope that had been missing from me for awhile

My friend just got out of this facility and it was horrible. They "lost" her tote bag full of books (see another review with the same complaint). cold facility, thin blankets, she was cold the entire time. Only once a day therapy with nothing to do all day but watch TV, too bad they """LOST""" her books. All but one nurse showed any kindness and care, she had to bed one caring therapist to get out of there, and now is saddled with a huge bill because she desperately needed help but received none.

I work as an RN at HRH and I absolutely love my job! Seeing these reviews makes me so sad cause we all care for our patients at HRH! We try our hardest to make our Patients happy during their stay & try to help them to the best of our abilities. I love going to work and working with my staff to help patients over come their obstacles in life. I feel these bad reviews are either patients that had no choice in being placed into our facility. Because 95% of the time I talk to my patients they have liked their stay at HRH.
