Over the years, we grew, changed our name to Iteld & Bernstein Cardiology, and practiced in St. Bernard Parish and New Orleans East. In 1998, as our practice grew, we became the Louisiana Heart Center, offering a broad range of cardiac care that ranged from interventional cardiology, treatment for peripheral vascular disease and treatment for heart attacks and congestive heart failure.
When you come to Louisiana Heart Center for a cardiac consultation you can expect a thorough examination from a cardiologist who understands both the physical and emotional side of cardiac care. Before you meet with the cardiologist, a nurse will review your information with you and will perform an EKG (Electrocardiogram) which is a simple, painless test that records the heart's electrical activity.
A Women's Heart Program will look beyond traditional risk factors at lipoprotein and inflammatory biomarkers to elevate the presence of an atherogenic disease process. We want to help predict which women are at increased risk for cardiovascular events. The clinic will focus on women for evaluation, diagnostic testing and treatment plans to provide exceptional preventative care for A Women's Heart!
