The pediatricians at Hales Pediatrics provide medical care for infants, children, and adolescents-from birth through the college years. This care includes treatment of sick children, preventive and "health maintenance" care for well children, and counsel and support to our patients' families and caregivers. Our practice strives to provide the highest quality care, and to do so in an environment that encourages children to feel happy and safe as they come to our office. We value your time, and work very hard to assure that we see our patients with minimal delays.
Services
Over the past fifteen years medical insurance has become more and more complex. Managed care, with all its variations, has introduced us to a different health care world with a whole new vocabulary: HMO, PPO, POS, co-pay, pre-certification, in-network, out-of network, and so on. This can be confusing and challenging for our families and physicians.
Our patients consistently tell us they appreciate our care in making appointments-they are pleased they do not have to wait long when they come to our office. We value your time and work hard to see your child promptly. We are able to do that because we see patients by appointment only. On Saturday mornings we see sick children starting at 8:30 A.M., usually finishing by 11:00 A.M. When your child is ill and needs to be seen the same day, please call to make an appointment when our office opens in the morning.

You will see many faces as you visit our office, as we have had a flexible staffing plan in effect since the practice opened. Many of our staff members work part time, and most came to our office as parents of small patients before they joined our staff. Our physicians are available to you by telephone.

We've been going to the office for nearly 7 years now with all my 3 children. It took me awhile to find a good pediatrician. We come here all the way from Westbank. I love that they have sick waiting room and a nursing waiting room. Toys and waiting area is always clean, front desk is always curtious and answers all the questions. I never had to wait too long for an appointment. Usually they would take a sick kid the very same day. Our favorite doctors are Dr. Haydel, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Gorman, my kids love them the most.

Frustrating. Most doctors I have visited are great however not a fan of Milvid. I've been going there since my children were born and I have always tried to ignore my dislike for Dr. Milvid. However my conversation with her this morning definitely Inspired me to write a review. She seems bothered by questions and almost above the conversation. Lacks bedside manner for sure.

Doctors have no empathy and rush you out of the offices. They move so fast to get to the next patient. We all tested positive with COVID and no one bothered to call and check on our children's condition. They didn't even properly go through the COVID protocols, I had to call another doctor friend for guidance. I won't even name the doctors, I'd hate to publicly shame them! We wont be returning to Hales. We'll find another doctor that cares about our kids health and well being.

Dr Oates is a God sent. I have a special needs daughter. The office is super accommodating to our needs. She ALWAYS goes out of her way to make sure we have what we need. I love the girls. They are super sweet and always squeeze us in. Thank you healthcare heros. I would never go to another doctor. ( PS all doctors in the practice are great. We saw Haydell as well. He's super sweet).

Ridiculous bourgeois uptown doctor office. Brought my child in for a sick visit and couldn't be more disappointed. Disorganized doesn't even begin to describe this place. They don't make an effort to segregate sick children. One kid came in with his mother, coughing up a storm, sat among the other children in the waiting area, and coughed all over the play toys. Nurses didn't say a word; however, they felt the need to side eye me when I disciplined my kid and told her not to put her hands in her mouth after playing with the aforementioned toys. Dr. Milvid, made me feel like I was inconveniencing her and hurried us out of her office in about 3 minutes. Sorry for inconveniencing you Dr. Milvid. Ultimately, the Customer service is lacking since Dr. Hales retired.

Love Hales! We have seen a few Doctors in the practice and all have been fantastic! However, we are partial to Dr. Charles Haydel he's our favorite! Very caring and thorough. We have never waited long and love the fact that there are sick rooms to keep kids separate from Wellness kiddos to minimize exposure to them getting sick. It's a very personable Doctors visit. We will never go anywheres else!
