The Musicians' Clinic will be moving to the LSUHSC downtown medical complex in the fall of 2022 as part of the LSU Healthcare Network's Department of Comprehensive Medicine. The Musicians' Clinic has eliminated the barriers. If musicians don't have access to money or transportation, they can still have access to good, quality medical care at the Clinic.

It really is important for all of us: because when you are healthy as an artist, you are able to practice your art. I know that the elders in our community look forward to seeing me on Carnival Day, but I have to be healthy.
Services
Founded by a coalition of music advocates in 1998, the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic is the first medical clinic for musicians, performing artists, and cultural workers in the United States. The Musicians' Clinic is not open on Saturday or Sunday and does not provide emergency medical care. In the case of an emergency, please DIAL 911 or proceed to the nearest hospital.
The New Orleans Musicians' Clinic provides reliable, responsive, patient-centered medical care to more than 2,500+ local culture bearers within the LSUHCN Department of comprehensive Medicine. This innovative partnership includes state-of-the-art electronic medical records, preventative & occupational health outreach and access to a full range of social services.
We offer occupational and comprehensive health services to all who work in the cultural community of New Orleans (musicians, vocalists, music tradition bearers, Mardi Gras Indians, music club workers, artists, dancers, etc.) and their household members over the age of 19. We accept medical insurance, though those without it will be treated regardless of their ability to pay. For those with insurance but a high deductible, we offer our full range of medical services on a sliding scale fee and low-cost prescriptions.
The NOMC wants to ensure you choose the right health coverage plan for you and your family. Our certified Patient Navigator can help. We employ a full-time Case Manager and Certified Patient Navigator, Megan McStravick, who is available to guide patients through and around barriers in the complex healthcare system, helping them overcome obstacles faced in accessing or receiving treatment, insurance navigation, and more.

Quite literally a life saver. Give these people money. Seriously.
